(OOC: As soon as this topic is done, all of Lawrence's time skips should be done. Let's not do time skips again. Not for a long time. Also, this was as annoying to type as it is to read. Skittle colours FTL >_>) Lawrence still felt a tinge of sorrow as he entered the Card Shop. Buying stuff always cheered him up however, and this place seemed to be a decent enough place to start. He pulled out a tetarteron nomisma, a gold coin, not realizing his money was no good here. "Oh!" the voice of a young energetic little boy had shook the knight out of his state. "Pretty coin!" "That is a tetarteron nomisma." stated Lawrence. "It is the currency used in.." he stopped, as though thinking, it was a currency used only in his little world, it was not a widely used coin, not anymore that is. "Leave the guy alone." stated an older looking Ra, perhaps a second year student "We don't need to start any trouble with any more weirdos." He wore a Ra Yellow jacket, and stood in front of 2 other guys. It appeared the little one had just broken off from the group. "Remember guys, the boss sent us here to get some new cards to rebuild our deck, not to make new friends." this one sounded unnaturally low, as though they were forcing their voice to purposely go lower. "Give it up." said a fatter boy. "We already know you're a girl." "Hey!" the previous speaker's voice jumped up an octave or two. "It's not like I had a choice in the matter you know!" "So Mr. Uhh... Big Mean Sword... Holding Guy." the energetic Ra seemed to be a little standoff-ish at seeing the sword hanging off the knight's side. "Why are you here huh?" "I believe I am in need of a new beginning. And what grander way to produce a new beginning then to obtain a new deck." Lawrence nodded. "Oh! We got some cards!" stated the little boy. "We'll trade you them for that pretty golden coin!" The tall Ra Yellow gave the energetic Ra a confused look, then realized what he meant. "Sure then. I guess we can give trade him some cards." Each member of the group produced about 7 or so cards and handed them to the Sebek. Lawrence looked through them. "Lightsworn" he read aloud, picking up the cards. "Yeah, they sure are lame!" stated the fat boy. "I mean, they throw out like, your best cards! What if you throw out something good like Mirror Force?" "Some of them are pretty." said the girl. The boys all then turned to look at her, as though she had just said something completely stupid. After an awkward silence, they then turned back to the Sebek. "So, whaddya' say Mr. Knight guy!? They don't accept that kind of money here, but we'll accept it for ya! All these cards can be yours for the price of one-" he paused to try to remember the name. "Tarter nausea." Lawrence blinked, as though thinking of whether or not to do it. Then, he made his decision. "Sure." the Sebek Knight handed over the coin, and the kids turned their back on the Sebek. "Hehe, good plan. We unload the trash of that booster pack onto that unsuspecting knight guy, and we get some cool little trinket." the fat boy whispered quietly to the short hyperactive kid. "Well, come on guys. We already got enough cards to build 5 excellent decks! Let's go meet up with the boss now." the tall Ra lead the group out of the shop, leaving Lawrence alone with his newly acquired cards. It was at this moment he realized class would soon begin. He calmly walked out of the Card Shop, towards the main building. [To: Psychology: The Mind behind the Master] Edited by Billie Hatcher, May 19 2008, 07:09 AM.
