Except then the Staff would be doing things (the selection of Chat Mods) without running it by all of the members. If they did, it would be #2 instead. |

I think Forum Mods as Chat Mods is a thing that we shouldn't change. We should elect 2 chat mods me thinks. |

Here was my system. Each staff member of the forum was a chat mod. Then, Chat mods = 2xStaff+1. There was one extra chat mod who was a normal member for every staff member, then one floater which changed every month. Of course, this was when the chatbox used to be mine =| |

Well, only having one rotating chat position I'm not sure is a good idea. I do recall some questions which arose along the lines of "Why is Gouki still a chat mod when X number of cycles have gone by for chat mods?" I think that all the non-staff positions should be static or they should all be rotating. Or-- the rotating one should be chosen by a contest method, instead of the whims of the Staff. |

*bump* Discuss. How should the new chat mods be decided? How many should we have? I move that Chat Mods should be decided by election ("popularity contest," as Gouki put it) unless someone comes up with a good contest idea that will actually be useful for the board as a whole. I move that we should have 2 more chat mods. If we still need more, then more can be chosen. The motion to elect more than the 2 chat mods will be started through a topic in Forum Feedback, in the usual fashion. |
