With all due respect to the current chat mods, there seems to be huge gaps when none of the staff is online. Not to mention there are also points when, despite being technically online, a staff member is not really paying attention to the chat. (For any huge variety of reasons. responding to a post, RPing, watching television and paying attention only during the commercials, we understand this isn't your full time job.) However, to lessen any burden, I purpose the reintroduction of daily/weekly/monthly/whatever Chat Mods. However, I do not think the decision should fall squarely on the staff, especially since they're probably going to be unaffected by any new chat staff. How to give them out? Perhaps a contest of sorts... |

Well, what would be needed are people who are on the chat and pay attention and who will not abuse their powers. Honestly, how many people on CWA fit within those parameters? |

@ Gouki: Sometimes you're the only mod on, though. @ Billie: I'd prefer one method to get as many chat mods as we deem necessary. That way we get them all at once, and they can begin monitoring the chat. Perhaps we could offer one position via contest, and the rest could be chosen through one of the other means. I don't think any mixing of methods would work very well beyond that much, though. |
