If you can handle four characters, by all means go ahead. You should know what you can and cannot handle. Some people can handle four or five characters and keep them all active at once; other people cannot. Know what you can handle and don't try to do more.

Why do you even post, Keith? You're not even adding anything AT ALL to either side of the argument.

I took that as "let the members choose, individually, whether to use all 4 of their slots or not."

But that's only my view on it.

That aside, the topic, as a whole, is about Character Reduction. He's simply stating his opinion on (some part of, if not the whole of) the matter (the entire thing, I assume). It's not like it's off-topic for the thread. Since when is there something wrong with stating an on-topic opinion, in itself? Isn't that part of what we're supposed to want: to know what the members think about things? This is also leading to having members who won't speak up on things, which also leads to some things not getting done.

Back on topic (kinda), though, as tangents lead to more tangents without on-topic responses, it seems:

Everyone, please continue with the feedback on Rou's idea and the topic as a whole. If we all can get everyone's opinions and comments on these, we can confirm where everyone stands on the issue in order to take action or not.

I agree with Keith here. I have faith that the members of this forum are responsible enough to know how many characters are too many for them to handle, and that they can commit to using a number of characters within that limit.
