Time Limits for Settings

We have been operating under 1-2-1 week defaults. This system worked in the summer, when large numbers of people could spend substantial portions of their time here. It can be easily seen that this format no longer works. Almost every thread in recent months has lagged behind the official timeline, and no one has started evening yet after several days in the evening setting. I think that we should leave the limit off the setting thread and only post up a limit when most scenes are drawing to a close. Alternatively, we could try 2-3-2 settings or something similar. But I feel that at least something must be done to slow the pace of the RP.

While I agree based on the important threads 'n stuff, and when nearing the end of a storyline it can be beneficial, I'm how everyone will react to that ("slow the pace of the RP"). Might work out, though; might not.

So, either specifically lengthen each setting, or go back to the way it was when I let RPs continue in a setting until someone (some members), or I, brought up that it was dragging along too long.

I wouldn't mind either way. If Dani doesn't mind, a thread could be made to find out what the members want to do.

In my unbiased opinion, though, I'd wait until the plot's over before doing that (as the timing of pulling this on everyone "sounds" bad, despite it possibly being understood).

It would work better if people didn't have like 2-3 scenes per day. If we instead make a single setting one entire day, it might not feel as slow for everyone. Exceptions would need to be made for class threads, I'm sure...

I don't see a problem with putting the issue to the members as a whole, though. We'll need to list out all the pros and cons, first.
