And here our charming little girl stayed. Face down, defense mode, head buried in Danielle's pillow, crying her little eyes out. Despite removing her red eye contact lenses in their shared bathroom and placing them in their proper container, her eyes were still red this time blood shot due to all her weeping. She sobbed bitterly and quietly, going through the motions of the day in her mind and reminding herself that nobody loved her as she laid unmoving and uncaring of how she looked, awkwardly twisted on the bed and hair a mess left where she collapsed on Danielle's nearby bed. |

The door opened. Humming a soft tune, Danielle stepped through into the room. She kept time with her left hand while returning the door key to her jacket pocket. She closed the door gently, turning around slowly on her heel. She was smiling. Danielle noted that Billie's shoes weren't by her bed. That meant that Billie was still out. She'd been out a lot this week.... Danielle's smile faded, and her hand slowed. It was only a momentary break, though. Remembering where she was and her resolution that morning, she forced a smile. She could be happy if she felt like it. If Billie was going to spend the week with Dante, then Danielle should be happy for her friend. She was spending her time with the boy she liked, after all. That newfound happiness was just as fleeting. Danielle stepped out of the entryway. There she was. Billie was crying on Danielle's bed. Danielle stared at her. Remembering that her roommate was crying, she approached her silently. Danielle sat down on the edge of her bed and put her hand on the white haired girl's shoulder. |

"... I weep for wonder wand'ring far alone..." she whispered, clutching the pillow tightly, the only "person" who didn't seem to mind receiving her love. As she wallowed in her pitiable moment of despair, she couldn't help put feel a light tap. "Augh..." she whimpered, she recoiled from the touch, holding Danielle's pillow in defense. "Not in the mood Owwie." Since she was still face down facing the mattress, she awkwardly swung the pillow about not paying particular attention if it struck its intended victim, before haphazardly dropped it, covering her head. Her arms jumped to her defense, covering her face from being seen by visitors. |

Danielle pulled her hand back quickly, sensing Billie's body tense up before she recoiled. Danielle rested her hand on the bed. She heard Billie mumble something about Aoi, but her tone indicated that she was the one being spoken to. Danielle held her breath, feeling the sting of those words. Billie moved again, swinging the pillow at her. Danielle took the hit, closing her eyes just before the pillow hit her in the face. She opened her eyes slowly. Billie had dropped the pillow, and was covering her face with the pillow and her arms. Danielle waited. She slid closer to Billie. Leaning down close to her friend, she tried to wrap her arms around her. She was trying to lift the white-haired girl up into a hug. |

"Nnnn!" she squirmed, assuming the person in the room had alterior motives for attempting to pick her up. She recklessly and lazily threw her pillow about. Maybe if the other person in the room introduced her would have given her a signal she was here to help... Her legs flailed around in a comical fashion, as she continued whimpering in annoyance, right now still too depressed from being rejected by the only boy she had ever loved. |

Danielle tightened her hold on the white-haired girl. Billie flailed about, striking Danielle with the pillow two or three more times. Danielle's hair was a mess from the repeated attacks, but right now, her appearance was the least of her concerns. She pulled the still-struggling Billie to an upright position, and pulled her close. She held her tightly, preventing further attacks from the pillow. Danielle leaned closer to Billie, who was trying to break free. She whispered in her friend's ear. "Shh... It's me, only me...." |

A mostly... odd way to introduce herself, but Wilhelmina seemed to slowly ease up. "What?" She exclaimed, a little annoyed, tears still running from her eyes. "Can't you see I-" She stopped, getting a little choked up. "I... told Dante..." she whimpered, using all her strength to hold back on crying. "And he... he rejected me!" She pushed Danielle away, attempting to get a bit of air and breathing room. "He prob-" she stopped, her voice getting a little too high pitched. "He probably doesn't l-love me because I'm flat chested! He doesn't love me, April, May, June and Rachel never loved me, Father Hatcher never loved me, even my own biological parents abandoned me, probably because I was too flat chested!" She was clearly speaking nonsense, as well as purposely hurting her own ego. |

Danielle let Billie push her away that time. She had calmed down, sort of. She had calmed down enough to realize Danielle was not Aoi, anyway. Danielle looked at Billie. Billie's blue eyes shimmered with water, and she threatened to burst into tears any moment. Her voice was filled with emotion that she was trying to hold back. Danielle adjusted her half-seated, half-laying position on the bed. She tried to smile, but her smile was weak at best. She blinked twice quickly. Just seeing Billie about to cry was enough to affect her. Billie's sadness was reflected in the mirror that was Danielle's heart. Danielle let her gaze drop, unwilling to look into Billie's eyes any longer. After a momentary silence, she replied. "I can't speak for any of them... but I'm sure that someone will love for who you are. And you won't have to worry about how you look, because you'll be perfect for them just as you are." Danielle glanced up at Billie, without lifting her head very much. She smiled weakly again. |

She slammed down hard on her pillow, a dismissive groan as she barely heard her friend. "Listen Danielle, I know you're trying to cheer me up and all but..." she sighed, finding it easier to hold back tears. "You don't know what it's like at all, to love someone so much and have them- have them only think of you as a friend!" She blinked twice, uncertain if there was any bit of irony there, probably not. "It just... it hurts so bad. Telling someone you love them and them rejecting you and saying you can 'still be friends'- It's like when your pet dog dies, but your mom tells you you can still keep it." Billie was used to crying all by herself when she was sad, so having someone else by her side was rather awkward for her. "It just... it hurts so much... I wouldn't wish such a thing on my worst rival." Her mind immediately jumped to Aoi, then back to normal. If she knew the blue haired girl's feelings for her German lad, she'd probably not have taken such a strong stance, since if she wound up with Dante it would mean Aoi would end up suffering at the hands of 'just friendship'. She sighed. "You... you just don't understand." |

Danielle lay down on top of her bed. She looked at Billie thoughtfully. She sighed, and put her right foot behind her left foot. She tried to kick off her left shoe without untying it. What resulted was an awkward wiggly foot as she tried to slip out of her shoe. Danielle was trying to buy time. She thought about how best to respond to Billie-- and decided to forego her own story for now. "Maybe... maybe I don't understand." Danielle pressed harder against her shoe. It was being stubborn. "But I can at least try. You're my friend, Billie. I'll at least do that much for you." |
