Dragon of Despair

[From Prelude to Darkness.] [OOC: Just slamming down the full list of rules here for the sake of having them for easy reference; CWA Duel Style: Single respawn with 4000 LP for the remaining duels. E5 Duel Style: 50% LP recovery from any damage taken (through battle and/or card effects) and 100% LP recovery for any LP costs that are paid. LP Quota that Z needs to reach to achieve his goal: 90,000 Damage through battle and card effects will drain energy from a duelist into the system. There will be no draining energy from the system due to recovery of LP through any means (card effects and E5 Survival Mode). Members of the E5; 1) Drakow 2) Storm Wolf 3) Agent Σ / Some other Agent. 4) Unknown 5) Overlord Z [Modifying any aspect of your deck (including side and extra decks) during this tournament is forbidden. I trust you will all abide by this rule anyway. ] Drakow had spent the morning listening to a computer file with information about the students of Crimson Wind Academy that Z had constructed during his brief stay at the academy. Z modified the original copy to remove traces of his personal comments within the data files. For Drakow, it is difficult to skim through information without eyesight. So instead he decided to listen in on a few profiles in depth. He first took a look at Gouki’s profile but didn’t really find anything about him that he didn’t already know. The information regarding the murdering of his parents was completely listed. Drakow assumed that his file had been recently updated. Next, he read up on Sean’s profile and found out that he was a fan of using a hybrid of hero monsters and anti meta strategies. Drakow was already aware of this from the duel Sean had with Gouki but this information was more up to date, and so Drakow knew what to expect from the Ra Yellow hero should they confront in battle. There were too many Obelisk Blue’s to look through them all but Drakow decided to view one. It happened to be a student by the name of JeY Nakari. The only Obelisk Blue student Drakow has ever dueled. Apparantly he had been put in a coma after suffering from an incident at the academy involving an earthquake. His current deck was unknown according to the file though. It seemed that he had recently been released from the Zenkai Hospital. This intrigued Drakow but he doubted he would be seeing JeY at this tournament. He still had a bit of spare time so he decided to try and find Sky’s profile. Unfortunately Drakow didn’t know her name. Just that she was female and in the red dorms. He chose to make the assumption that she was in the first year, but that still left a lot of people to search through. He disbanded his search shortly after. He had eaten Fish and Chips which Agent Σ prepared for his lunch and was given instructions on how to proceed with the tournament. The Overlord had ordered Drakow to wear a disguise which consisted of a standardised field agent uniform, in order to prevent his identity from being revealed to the CWA students. His new attire consisted of a dark grey jacket with two pockets located at the chest level and a collar which covered the sides of the neck. The same material and colour was used for the trousers. A full face helmet along with an epically long, black cloak had also been provided. The cloak was apparently meant to be used to cover his Black Dragon Duel Disk. A voice modifier had been installed within the helmet to distort his vocal patterns in a way to make his voice seem deeper. The helmet has reduced Drakow’s ability to manoeuvre himself and sense the presence of others. Orders had also been given for Drakow not to give away any information regarding Z’s plan and to act as if he was doing all of this voluntarily, if the absolute need was required for him to explain his actions. Finally Drakow has been ordered to try and make things as lively as possible for everyone to get psyched up and therefore, exert themselves more. Failure to comply with these demands would result in Drakow’s death via the capsule that was still within his body. That was the man standing across the room as the members of team CWA entered the room. There was a 10 metre gap between the two sides of the room to prevent anyone from trying to assault Z’s duelists and take them down by brute force "So you've all arrived at last. My deck has been anxiously waiting to annihilate some opponents. For your sake Crimson Wind Academy, you better send out your toughest duelist first. After I swiftly overwhelm him with my moves, YOU CAN TRULY UNDERSTAND HOW HOPELESS IT IS TO TRY AND DEFEAT ME! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!" His words echoed through the room, rebounding off the walls violently. Or as violently as a voice projected soundwave can get. "Better to crush your hopes now rather than later right? Anyway . . . who is my first opponent?" |

Firefly - Strategic Defender

The Osiris female stepped forward, ready to begin the battle. Her opponent was covered up from head to toe. But as to why, she was uncertain, not expecting another student to be beneath the helmet. Was he some sort of weird cosplayer? ...Well, someone like Overlord Z wouldn't be around people like that unless they were extremely skilled, right? Thinking along those lines, the raven-haired teen faced her opponent and answered his question, as meaningless as it was, now, seeing as she had already come forward. "I am. Akane Tachimuka of Osiris Red." She pulled her deck out of her pocket and inserted it into the dueling device. "My hopes aren't nearly so fragile. So let's see how much strength your words really hold." Her disk activated and positioned itself accordingly in the meantime. |

. . . HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA! You're kidding me right? ARE YOU TRYING TO INSULT ME? Just after speaking those words, the following music began playing from speakers located at the top sides of the room. Drakow activated his Black Dragon Duel Disk from underneath his cloak. The disk gave out its usual roar but from beneath the cloak and the pokemon style music that was playing from above, the sound of the roar was muffled out. Both duelists were ready. Let the first battle commence! [To: Dragon Master VS Dragonfly] |

[OOC: After the first duel] Drakow recollected his cards and shuffled them, before placing his deck back inside his Duel Disk. "Please tell me you're not going to send another red coat against me. Bring me a REAL challenge! Who will be my next opponent?" |

Some Guy

Jason simply stood in horror. He looked back at the entranceway as if he were thinking about running, though he knew it was too late. That said, Akane's defeat was a bit of a shock to him. Not because she was a red, but because of how quick it was. Granted, three of this mystery duelist's cards were already one-ofs in his deck, unless of course he was playing with an illegal deck. He gambled that the deck was still legal, though. No reason for it not to be. At first, the duel looked like it was going to be a quick one. It looked like a Red-Eyes mirror from the get-go, The first couple of turns made it look, especially considering the Darkness Metal Dragon on Akane's side, that it could go her way. And then, just like that, it was over. All Jason could do now is look on as the smoke cleared, and it only made him uneasy. He began to shuffle his deck not necessarily out of necessity, but instead nervousness, as unless there was a change of plan, he was next. And at this point, he wasn't sure if he was ready. |

A delicate sigh escaped Alistair's lips. The person he had chosen to introduce himself to earlier was the one he stood next to now. He gave a quick run of his fingers through his long blonde hair, merely out of habit as he watched the utter destruction of Akane. In truth, he had expected a similar scene to occur. Even so, he didn't like watching a lady swept aside quite so easily, and with so little dignity as she had been shown. That said, of course Alistair was certain that he could defeat the duelist. He just didn't feel like going next, particularly when the odds of the tougher opponents being further in were so great. He took in a deep breath, and looked around the room, and toward the participants. There were several of them left, and of course, the red girl still had her lifeline, or whatever it was that she was supposed to have now. Alistair was sure that one or more of them could manage dispatching of this guy within the next few rounds. He glanced over toward the Red who had drawn attention to themselves earlier, and laughed halfheartedly. In truth, he wasn't sure that this kid stood any more of a chance than Akane had. However, even if that were the case, maybe the nothing could get in a few swings, and lower the guy's points a bit more before one of the yellows and above decided to venture in. He could only hope that the kid had that much potential, though the chances of him just being overwhelmed were all too great. "Welp, looks like you're up next, eh bud?" he said with a casual chuckle toward the other red. "Think you'll fair any better than she did?" |

JeY is Sexy.

The music presented to himself by the duelist happened to greatly excite JeY. He was going to get a slice of the action now, or he was going to be a little jittery for a while. Any basic human could see that Jason was definitely nervous, and he really began to doubt the ability of him to play. Before the red would have a chance to response, JeY would interject. "No way we're throwing another pawn at him. I've seen how he plays, this punk's mine." He said. He head was low, and there was a truly malicious grin on his face. He hasn't been this excited... in quite a while. He felt like he himself was going to take on the darkness that plagued him long ago. "You're goin' down." He said. Without any consent from the others, he advanced a step forward. It was authoritative and made with force and emphasis. He was going to be this next guy's opponent, he didn't care what others were going to say. Edited by JeY Nakari, Oct 19 2009, 09:56 PM.

Things were moving along swimmingly. Akane was swiftly dealt with, causing Sean to wince after she took the fierce attacks from the dragons. However, there was still the matter at hand to defeat this mystery duelist. Something about his voice and deck seemed familiar. Especially when the Van'dagylon hologram came to life. He took one step forward but Jason seemed to be ready. Sean looked taken aback but simply went back to his place next to Alistair. "I hope he does-" all of a sudden JeY came out of no where and stood in front of Jason obviously taking the reigns. "Good luck JeY" he said with a wave. Sean turned to Alistair "This one should be over quick, JeY is a very powerful duelist" he assured. |

"Is he now?" Alistair said dismissively. He wasn't overly interested in how talented this kid was; if anything, he was eager to see just how well the mystery duelist would handle against someone above the red dorms. This kid wasn't much to look at, and he got the impression that this would be marked down as another defeat for team Crimson Wind Academy. Even so, this would prove a valuable experience for assessing just how much skill this duelist had. However, even so, Alistair didn't like the thought of one of the superior ranking members of their group taking a nose dive so early. He sighed, and decided that maybe it was for the better. If nothing else, maybe the kid could deal a more sizable chunk of damage than the pawn in red could. If that were the case, then maybe the second Red kid would be capable of dealing the remaining damage, and allowing them to progress to the next duelist. "I guess I'll just have to watch and see for myself then, eh? Money on him dealing... Four thousand points or more before losing," Alistair said with a chuckle. He yawned, and stretched his arms behind him, stretching the muscles in his back, and sending a series of sharp pops reverberating through the room. |

It seemed Drakow's next opponent had been chosen. Drakow overheard Sean mention about the challenger's identity. JeY. But the name sounds the same as Jay. While the thought did cross his mind, Drakow didn't think that he would be having a rematch with JeY. No, this challenger was probably some other student named Jay. Last time, Drakow dueled against JeY, the Obelisk Blue used a trap heavy deck, based on an anti meta strategy. If this duelist was using a similar kind of deck, Drakow's suspicions would rise. "You seem pretty sure of yourself. Show me why." Let the rematch commense! [To The Rematch.] Edited by Draco Black, Oct 20 2009, 05:06 PM.
