Nearing an hour later, the heli Spoiler: click to toggle Anyway, the chopper was now directly above the Overlord’s mansion. “Attention Crimson Wind Academy. We are preparing for landing so please ensure that you are wearing your seatbelts. I hope you have had a pleasant flight and we are expecting to be at ground level in ETA 5 minutes.” The helicopter slowly began its decent towards a section of the roofing of Z’s mansion. There wasn’t any H marking to denote a location for the chopper to land. As the chopper approached 7.57463 (to 6 significant figures) metres, the roof began to split open, wide enough for the chopper to easily fit through the roof and enter the mansion itself. Two minutes later, the helicopter had landed and powered down. The doors opened and Agent
”I am hoping that will answer any queries that you previously had” Agent Ω spoke with a finger pointing towards the screen. “There is food by the table over there if any of you wish to grab a quick bite before the tournament begins” he spoke, moving his hand and pointing towards the designated table. “Once you are all ready, please proceed through that doorway to confront your first challenge. I wish you all the best of luck” pivoting on his right foot so that he could point them towards the door. “If anyone has any last minute questions, please ask them now.” |

Jason wasted no time leaping off the chopper. He was nearing a point of airsickness, and was just glad to be on the ground. This was where things started conflicting. His stomach was yet to settle from the flight, but the table and its overlay of food was rather enticing considering he'd run out to the card shop without even thinking about eating. Still stumbling out of disorientation, he managed to make the table, albeit in somewhat of a comedic fashion. He quickly grabbed a sandwich and gobbled it down. Oddly, it seemed to help. Maybe he should've just eaten something beforehand... Jason now rejoined the group to read the notification that had come up on screen. He nodded after reading it, understanding pretty much everything that was on there. He turned to Lexington (the only other student that he currently "knew") and only had one comment: "They must be good considering we outnumber them," he whispered, not expecting much of a response. He barely gave pause before speaking up. "One question," Jason asked to nobody in particular. "How are we deciding who goes first?" |

Sean glared at Jason and his quick eating. It was actually quite funny, "Well thats simple, the person who calls 'first' would probably be the one who went first" he said. He looked around and then sighed. "Perhaps we should figure out who the first duelist of his is and then we can see who wants to duel" he added. |

"So, we honestly have to try and decide who goes first? It seems like any idiot worth their weight in dog **** would be able to decide who should go first in this little thing. I mean, we want to conserve our best, thus our highest ranked players, so that we don't get raped, hard as we progress. Seems to come right down to logic that you would go first then, doesn't it reddy red?" Alistair gave a pleasant grin as he stepped from the plane, and out toward the room with the table full of refreshments and whatnot. He gave it a quick glance over, and took a bottle of water from the table. He unscrewed the cap in one swift turn of his wrist, and then raised the bottle to his parted lips, taking a small swig of water before replacing the cap and depositing it into his sweater pocket. He sighed, his chest heaving as he waited. Alistair was an impatient person, and he always liked for things to be in motion. As it was, with all this waiting bull****, he was quick to grow frustrated with all of it. He rolled his eyes, and decided he may as well choose some company with which to spend the time they would be here with. He glanced over the people in attendance, and was sorely tempted to see if flirting with Miss Kim would be any more fun than flirting with Celestia, or with Professor Swebb. In the end, he chose the company of the boy who had provided the other smartass comment toward the Red. If nothing else, at least he seemed to have a bit of a sense of humor, and thus, opening a conversation with him would be easier than just talking to one of the others. He placed his left hand into the pocket of his jean shorts, and paced over to the boy whom he had chosen, an air of pleasantness radiating around him. He extended a hand outward to the Yellow, whose name he couldn't quite place. He was sure he had seen him around campus, and thought that he was somewhere amongst the top ranks of the Ras, but his name escaped Alistair. He smiled, revealing a row of strong, even white teeth. "Alistair Meztli Solaris," he said politely, partly waiting for a response. However, before the opportunity to present one could be given, he continued in a lower voice, "What do you want to bet he gives me something about how I've never played him, and because of that, I can't know we're better than him?" His tone was even, but his voice was low enough that no one other than the Yellow could hear him. Accompanying his words was a quick jerk of his head toward the Red. |

Jason just growled, although it was barely audible. His frustration, however, was apparent. Despite the fact that he was still wearing the purple hoodie from yesterday, Alistair must've overheard him telling Lex he was a red. He kept most of the rage inside him though, simply pulling out his disk. This could've proven a bad idea considering he did not currently have an academy-issued one. Instead wielding the first mass-produced model, he no-doubt looked a touch behind the times. Of course, what else could he do? He strapped it on but did not insert his deck yet. He was going to wait until the proper time. He didn't say anything about Alistair's "you go first" comment, especially considering that he wasn't the only red in the house anyways. He glanced at Akane quickly, as she was indeed dressed for the part. Jason didn't have any qualms about going first, he just thought that the Blue's comment was unnecessary. He gritted his teeth, still attempting to hold back the Seattle Rage*. He remained still, knowing that one victory alone would improve his chances in being accepted by the student body. He kept his patience for now, knowing his turn would come eventually. ((* Not to be confused with Brooklyn Rage. My sense of humor just can't resist the reference.)) |

Exiting the helicopter shortly after Alistair, he caught sight of the refreshments on the table. With all the thinking he did, he certainly forgot just how hungry he was, until he saw the sandwiches. There seemed to be various kinds sprawled in platter format, looking delicious and skillfully prepared. His attention would be diverted by the conversation of 'Who should go first'. Of course, he waited a second, and other people made their comments, before he decided to include his own. He thought about it for a minute, and pondered quickly whether it was necessary. Throwing at pawns at the enemy to conserve our best was a pretty decent idea - if we can learn what we're up against, then it will be easier to sweep. There always was the option of hard-pounding them first with the best, but that would prove to be very ineffective. He decided to just agree with the other blue. "Sounds like a plan" JeY said. Simple, to the point, no unnecessary details; he liked it. Freeing himself from further input, he wandered to the table, and scoped the sandwiches. Salami was a choice - one of his favorites. He snatched it up and began munching, commenting to himself how tasty it was. He felt slightly embarrassed to just randomly eat something in front of everyone from the refreshments table, but he immediately dismissed the feeling. No one cared; ten bucks on someone else taking some food as well. Opinions or not, JeY was kind of hungry, and a decent sandwich would help him think. Maybe he would eat another, too. A bottle of water wasn't a bad idea, either. He wondered if anything else would be provided, but he figured that there was a reason the table was here now, rather than later. Hoarding was a good idea, maybe. It all depended. For now, he would eat, keeping his eyes on the others in case they wanted to garnish his attention. |

Sean, with hands at his side turned to face Alistair "Hmm?" he noticed the blue's extended hand and smiled. "It's a pleasure Alistair, I am Sean Littell" the boy added with hapiness. It was good to be around people again. Still, Alistair seemed to ask a question of the Osiris student. "I would bet alot on that.Reds seem to have it in their heads that they are invincible. The idiots anyways. There are some good reds who simply didn't take the time to fill out that boring test" he answered. It was true, alot of the Osiris students would challenge those stronger then themselves as if to recieve a challenge. It was also true that there were some late bloomers with them. |

Miss Kim stood behind the group, watching them discuss the procedure for battle among themselves. She said nothing, not even when the higher ranked students showed their distaste for the Reds that had joined the team. Normally she would be the first to stand up for the lower ranked students; it was something she was known for. She had either chosen to observe the true nature of her students by not interfering, or something much more important was on her mind. In either case, she waited in silence for the students to decide who would be the first to advance into the challenge area. |

Once Akane and Lex got off the helicopter respectively, Lex simply replied, "Mm. They likely are," in response to Jason's earlier comment. Seeing the table of food, Lex glanced over the selection. A little lunch wouldn't be a bad idea. Akane had eaten lunch back at the hotel, not expecting a buffet, here. Both students had overheard the conversation concerning the Osiris dorm. Lex didn't like the idea and planned on saying something about it. "H--! ...?" With a hand on Jason's left shoulder, Akane stepped forward from behind. "Logically, that plan makes sense, so I won't object to it, so long as it isn't forced." With a grin to herself, she added, "As future Student Council President, I'll start things off. If I can't beat the first opponent, I can at least try to weaken him to some degree based on the survival rules. ...I'll expect you to take him out after that," she said to no one in particular. The raven-haired Osiris, armed with her cyclone duel disk, proceeded towards the entrance where the first duelist trial would begin. In the meantime, she added, once more, "It's a team effort, so make sure you're all paying attention to his moves. If I fail, I don't want it to be for nothing." She figured that they would either follow her into the room to make comments, or they would stay in the lobby area(?) and utilize the Cyclone Disk Feature that allows a person to view duels within the specified range, using both the Solid Vision and Cyclone Systems (WC[0X] / TF[X] / 5D's D-Wheel Spectator view). |

Jason was startled a bit; Akane came out of nowhere. He didn't take it personally; it was just a shock. He agreed with her whole-heartedly, however, and appreciated the load off his back. He'd have a better chance of doing well if he could study his opponent first. "Sounds like a plan," he finally responded. "I've got your back," he continued, figuring Akane was still talking to him. He figured that he'd logically be second up, considering that he was likely the only other red in the building. He had to be ready, so he strapped on his "ancient" disk now. ((I'm going to keep stressing that until the trip's over and Jason gets one supplied to him at the Academy.)) He decided it'd be best to follow her in, since he didn't have a way to view the duels remotely. The only thing left to do was to wait and see the last student's opinion; one student [Gouki] had yet to say anything, so he waited for this one's response before committing to the move.
