Sky opened her eyes, the other girl's words still ringing in her head. The sight of the mysterious woman had struck terror into her when Sky had stumbled upon her. However, her fear faded when the brown haired girl spoke to her. What was it that she had said? She tried to listen to the fading echoes of the girl's voice.

Sky gave up. Whatever information she had hoped to recall from her dream did not come back to her. She sat up in bed, rubbing her eyes lazily with the back of her hand. After a moment, Sky dropped her hand and looked over to Akane. Akane was still asleep. Sky turned her head to look at the clock. She noted the time.

It was still early. Sky fell back into bed, and closed her eyes. She did not let herself fall asleep again, though. But she planned on waiting a little while longer before getting out of bed.

For another 10 or so minutes, Akane seemed to be sleeping soundly. The evening ride back to the hotel had somehow drained her of what little energy she had. It was the night air - it's to blame, stealing the heat of the body from every pore. Maybe it was the Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, trying to slowly kill off the humans of the Earth by eating away at their energy bit by bit.

In the meantime, something else was being eaten away. Akane tossed and turned every once in a while as she slept. It would make you wonder what she was dreaming about. But as you get closer to her to find out...

Dream

[opposing devilish statement] "I win!!"
[Sudden White Explosion of Worldly Death!!]

And as Akane screamed while the white light spread, an ominous, black, Japanese symbol was emboldened in the foreground, as if watching it on television. Once it appeared, noise was the only thing you could hear: the high-pitched "loss of signal" broadcasting noise. It was deafening; stifling.

the raven-haired teen began to have trouble breathing in her sleep. It lasted for about 6 seconds before Akane suddenly sprang to life with a sudden life-grasping gasp! Laying in the bed, facing her right side, her eyes, dilated as they were, soon focused on the bed that she was laying in, realizing the dream she had was just that. Her breath was shaky, but it wouldn't last too long.

((Sorry it was later than planned - fell asleep as I wrote it ^_-;; ))

Sky turned her head to Akane, noticing the other girl struggling in her sleep. Sky did not move. Moments later, Akane sprang to life, quickly sitting up in her bed. The Amazon appeared to have awoken from a nightmare. Her breaths came unsteadily. Sky observed Akane until Akane caught her breath.

"Good morning."

Sky turned her head to the clock. It was about time for one of them to get started getting ready for the day's adventures. Sky was content waiting longer though. She was still tired from yesterday's excursion, and could justify a little more rest than typical. However, Akane would probably get up at this time, especially if she had just had a nightmare.

She waited to see what Akane would do.

Akane paused, halting her breath for a moment, and turned her attention to Sky, who called out to her, but wasn't watching Akane for long. ...Apparently, she was already awake. .... Having a nightmare isn't fun. Having someone watch you during it is just embarrassing.

Acknowledging Sky, Akane exhaled quietly, then glanced away.

".... Good morning.... .... ...---." After a moment or two, the raven-haired teen found the strength to roll onto her back from her right side, then to sit up, forcing her energy to stir. Her eyes were closed throughout the motions. It wasn't long before she got out of bed, wearing only a long, or stretched t-stirt and underwear. She made up her bed, saying nothing about the most recent dream she had. Instead, halfway into tidying her resting place, the Dragonfly asked Sky, "Will you be doing anything special today?" considering this Ms. Altrea-Blue's last chance to take advantage of the sights.

Sky looked back up at Akane. Then she turned to lay on her back, staring at the ceiling. She brushed a few strands of white hair away from her face. She thought for a moment before replying.

"I do not have anything in particular planned."

She turned her head just enough so that she could observe Akane, who was finishing making up her bed. Sky would not make her own bed. As long as the maids behaved predictably, there was no need to. It was very peculiar to make up a hotel bed, especially when the maids would do it for you. However, Akane prefered to leave her place neat and tidy-- it was a part of her personality. It was the same part that led to her over-achieving behavior in school. Sky smirked. A lesser detective coming upon the scene, one with no knowledge of the student council president, might instead infer that the two girls had shared a bed.

"Oh." Akane paused, glancing back, halfway. "I figured you had another quick sightseeing trip in you before we return to the academy." Returning to the task at hand, "Well, you've probably done enough sightseeing during the week, anyway. I suppose a day of relaxation is in order."

She turned around to face Sky. She folded her arms, but spoke calmly. "But make sure everything's ready to go, first." The hotel room's phone rang in the meantime. "...?" Akane proceeded towards it (while Sky responds?).

Sky nodded, still lying in bed. The phone rang. Akane walked toward it to answer. Sky gave a short reply while she still had Akane's attention.

"Of course."

Sky sat up. Akane picked up the phone. Sky got out of bed. She rearranged her things, making sure that they were all packed while Akane dealt with the caller. She pulled out a clean outfit for the day, and set it down on her bed. She would change into that as soon as she had taken her morning shower. Everything else was tidied up and put away in her bag. She moved it close to the door, where she would not forget it.

Hopefully by this time, Akane had finished her phone call.

".... .... Well I guess we'll find out once we get there. .... .... .... Yes. .... .... Alright. I'll see you then. ...Mm." Akane hung up the phone. "Interesting...," she said aloud to herself. After dwelling on it for a moment, "Sky?" she called to the snowy blonde teen. She waited until she had the girl's attention before continuing.

"I just received a call from another student. There seems to have been a slight change in plans as to when we're to return to the academy. It has been changed to tomorrow morning instead of tonight. ...Apparently, one of the pro duelists who came to visit the academy is suddenly hosting a special tournament, today. Do you want to enter it?"

Sky looked at Akane as she walked back to her bed. She sat down on the edge, and looked at Akane. She looked into her eyes. Akane seemed like the kind of person who would enter something like this. She most definitely would not pass up the chance to duel one of the Professionals again. Sky looked away, lowering her head.

"You know I'm not good at something like that...."

It would be exciting, to be sure. But dueling, and especially dueling tournaments, had never been strong points for Little Miss Sky. She did not feel like her participation would be worth it, in the long run.

Akane watched as Sky seemingly shied away at the offer.

"I'll take that as a 'no.' .... ...." Akane continued to look on, as if expecting her to explain, despite it not being necessary. Akane, not yet knowing how the tourney would be conducted, was hoping that Sky would use this opportunity as somewhat of a 'forced practice' situation, but that was not to be. After her silence, Akane spoke up once more.

"Understood. I'll be entering the tournament, so you won't see me for possibly most of the day. I have no idea how long it will take, but I highly doubt it'll last past 8 o'clock, tonight." Aside from that fact that she was informing her rooming partners where she'd be and for how long, why was she mentioning this?

"...If you do end up going somewhere, please take someone with you, alright? Maybe Douken, or the other person you were off to see the other day."

The raven-haired teen had no idea (or didn't hear it said that) it was Brett whom Sky had brought up before.
