JeY is Sexy.

JeY could do nothing more than jump slightly at her strong reaction. But he smiled; she seemed like she cared to see him here now, alive and well, even if they didn't have a great relationship (in fact it was incredibly short) before then. It was comforting that someone recognized him. What seemed to get jump right onto his brain, now, was her question afterward - did she remember what happened? Maybe she didn't want to talk about it. He wouldn't bring it up though, unless it really seemed apparent to do so. "I uh... Have been in the Zenkai Hospital here the entire time - even the week I was awake and recovering." He said, bearing a slight bit of uneasiness. He wasn't quite sure why that discomforted him, either. Maybe he didn't like the fact that he was so severely troubled for a long period of time, and just recovering from it now. Either way, he shifted his weight quickly before he continued. "This is my first day outside..." His eyes shifted down to the left quickly, as he finished. He apparently seemed to have an even harder time admitting it, though at first thought, it didn't seem so bad. The hints he dropped were minimal and deep. His eyes quickly darted back to hers, though he seemed to awkwardly place eye contact with her after his previous quick motion. He remained silent, waiting for her response. |

Danielle paused long enough to shiver in the morning air. JeY shifted his weight and looked away. Danielle caught a momentary glance from him. She looked away. The water was lovely. But it was probably cold this morning. It was both calm and desolate. "Do you have any plans for today, then?" Danielle faced him again. She brushed her bangs away from her face. The air smelled of salt water. "And have you visited anyone at the hotel yet?" |

When their eyes met again, he felt a little more awkward, but he decided to dismiss it. Uneasiness was the last thing he needed to feel right now. He was in the company of a friend, there was no need to seem nervous, embarrassed, anything. He was gone for a while, that's for sure. Has he changed any, though? He perked up from his self-consciousness when Dani finally cut through his senses with her keen, but soft voice. "Uh, no, I haven't planned anything. I'm just... strolling." he said. He scratched the back of his head - he really didn't have any plans - his only plan was to enjoy the outdoors again. Then she brushed her bangs and asked another question. This time, he was completely bewildered. Who was at the hotel? "Who, particularly, is at the hotel to visit?" he asked. Of course, he already knew (due to being told so) that his class was here visiting, and was pretty excited about it actually, that he would go back simultaneously with the end of their adventure. Of course, none of that was any use to him now as it completely slipped his mind, unable to make a connection between field trips and the need for hotels. JeY didn't anticipate on any answer, he was just completely caught off guard by the entire content of the question. His strongest memory of 'visiting' would have to be the professionals, but he wouldn't recall that either. |

Danielle stared at him. Did he really not know? Was their meeting her this morning even more of a chance event than she'd first thought? She closed her eyes and smiled. "Why, everyone's at the hotel!" She looked at him again, still smiling. Her eyes shone with brightness the gray morning sea lacked. She had regained her luminance. She pointed to the waterfront hotel in the distance. "We're all staying right there! Twelve Stars? Or something like that!" Danielle faced JeY again, clasping her hands in front of her. The wind changed. It carried with it a floral scent. "I'm about to head back myself. You should totally come and say hi to everyone while you're here!" |

JeY began to smile. He was definitely here again, among his friends who cared. 'Everyone', who was all the CWA students that they knew, right? Not just... other people? Well, he didn't know why Danielle would say that for that reason. He wondered truly how far the 'everyone' spectrum covered; there were definitely some faces he needed to see again. There was no use in asked, he would simply get a 'You'll see when you get there!' response. Perfectly natural. The scent that suddenly wafted in was nice; it seemed to resemble... just something familiar. Tip of his tongue, but he didn't put too much effort to it. Danielle had already invited him back. Not directly with her, but it was really implied. Just to say hi; simply, subtle, necessary. He liked it. Though, the question was, follow through on walking back with Danielle? It was simple enough, but he just wanted... a little more time. Building himself up, stuff like that. It was really hard to explain, even to himself. "...I definitely will." JeY said, but sighing slightly. His eyes broke off involuntarily again, gazing at the wide open sea. It was an amazing sight, and amazing sounds. He could just live here; but he lived elsewhere. Unfortunately, the name popped into his head again... a strong-sounding name, and his stomach turned, his face flushed red. He welled up inside and sighed again. "I really appreciate you giving me a chance to let you remember me... So far, the best event of my day." He said, his genuine smile meeting her gleeful, aromatic, and bright face. "I'm glad... that I'm not totally forgotten" he continued. His smile was now hard to maintain, mainly because he had an intense mixture of emotions, all of which wanted to come out at once. He twitched slightly, though he maintained his gaze. |

Danielle smiled, with slight embarassment. JeY continued smiling at her, even through a nervous twitch. "Um, well... thanks!" She could hear the sound of the waves from where she was standing. But they sounded distant to her. She felt as though she were no longer at the depressing and empty beach. The silence between the two lingered. "Well! I'm probably going to go head back to the hotel now. If I don't get back soon, people might begin to wonder where I am!" Danielle turned around toward the general direction of the hotel, and took a step. She glanced over her shoulder to look discreetly at JeY. |

The silence that lingered wasn't too much at all for JeY to bear. He liked these little moments he had to think about what she might say, how she might feel exactly about what he has already said. Danielle was a very warm person, easygoing, and very enjoyable to be friends with, he learned. He also learned just how brief their previous "friendship" had been, having no memories to base what he is finding out about Danielle in this very conversation, besides the two instances they met. Speaking of those, he still had explaining to do, but apparently it wasn't important to this moment in time. Perhaps when it seems better obvious to mention it. He ignored her slight embarrassment, negating it with the appearance of his own, though it was an enjoyable one for some reason - one he was sharing with someone that remembered him, positively. She acknowledged his message about his compliment of her time, and he blushed very vaguely. Though now, she was returning to the hotel, to see the others. He nodded quickly, and before she turned. "Alright. I might catch up in a bit." He said, and then she started to leave. Truthfully, he wanted to spend another moment at the desolate beach, to recuperate from the flow of feelings he experiences earlier, reminiscing in memories that Danielle involuntarily dug up. It was okay, he relied on these memories to function, to give himself a purpose to continue, which was a good thing. He turned, back to the waves. He didn't see her look. |

Danielle waited, her eyes trained on JeY as best she could without giving away that she was watching him. He spoke, and she heard he would not accompany her back to the hotel. Her turned his back to look at the ocean. Danielle lowered her gaze slowly to the ground in front of her. She closed her eyes for a moment. "Oh, okay! I'll see you later then!" Her voice was cheerful, but when she stopped speaking, there was no smile on her face. Danielle walked away, the morning ocean mist mingling with the aroma of flowers. She could hardly distinguish the difference between the two confused scents. [To: Refuge, Hotel 4th Floor] |

Of course, Danielle was gone, and he was lost in thought again. JeY was alone there, sitting on the beach, looking out into the water. He snapped to his consciousness, and regained control of his thoughts, suddenly and abruptly, looking around. He looked back, and there was now no trace of Danielle. He regretted his choice staying, now. He realized that it would've been nice to walk back with her. Back for a day, and already causing more problems. Though, he didn't dwell on it. It was a relatively insignificant matter, and he had... more important things to attend to. At least, so he thought. Eventually, tending to Danielle, and what happened when they met in the courtyard, was one of them. But that was another day, his task: Rina. He didn't know, he would get distracted, but it was a good place to start. Maybe, once he got back to Danielle, everything would be made back up for. Who knew? There was just way too much on his mind, but luckily he would ease up a little bit, while running back to the hotel, he would notice a helicopter beginning to descend on his destination... <To: Invitation to Darkness> |
