Of course, it was his favorite place. He finally gets to go here once again, after being locked up in abysmal memory for... He can't even recall how long. He's still getting used to the current date and time. One thing's for sure, it was sunrise, and sunrise meant morning. There was no one there yet, no one heading off the beach this morning, the rare couple walking along the shore with hands interlocked barely present. The beach was beginning to resemble a ghost town; even for birds. Barren sands, aching people, grumpy waters roaring the shores. without the interference of conversation from the many people around, the water was as loud as possible - and he couldn't be happier. He was alive; he was moving; he was creating memories. This will be a morning he will never forget, since his first night a day before, of memory, this will be his first moment not lived in sadness or terror since... He had taken off his shoes of course, walking along the sand in shorts, the grains moving smoothly between his toes, for a grand feeling when he pushed off to take the next step. The sand was cold, since the sun had long stopped beating on it, barely creeping up now, long after creating a state in it such as a coal bed. The coolness that was just above temperatures of the waters was what he enjoyed. He sighed, particularly because a few events from his previous evening kept rolling around in his head. They were impossible to not think about, but they were necessary. He had a lot of things to sort around. Now that he's been gone, he basically has to start over, fresh with everyone. He has to restart with several people he knew... One name in particular... Well, it just hurt a little to think it. But he kept shoving it aside, it wasn't his top priority. He needed to find, Rina. She was his top priority. None of what happened was her fault. his envision to her reaction played several times last evening. It was painful to watch. What no one, not even his sister knew, is his entire life flashed by in detail while he was knocked out. He saw each and everything thing he'd done, and wanted to do, and what he has left TO do. Before he woke up, strong visions of that day he collapsed... None of it was Rina's fault. She didn't know, but if she saw him awake, everything would be better. He kicked the sand a little bit. It was a clump, and scattered about in the wind. He stopped, and looked over to the water, and watched it breath up and down the clumps of sand at the shoreline, whisking the particles into a smooth surface, roaring with each exhale. He never knew why the water was so entrancing, but he was glad it was, since he simply forgot everything as he watched the sand. Without even thinking, he turned and sat down, his legs crossed int he sand, his arms holding his knees, he watched, simply amazed. JeY was starting fresh, after his "experiences", he had a completely new attitude, and it was time to see how it worked. Edited by JeY Nakari, Oct 5 2009, 08:36 PM.

Danielle walked along the water's edge. She was dressed more for meditation than frolicing on the beach-- she wore a white jacket over a baby blue shirt, a soft pink skirt, and white tennis shoes. The jacket was to help protect her from the chilly morning winds, although she wore it undone as she walked across the shoreline. Her white shoes sank into the wet sand as she walked, becoming quite dirty. However, Danielle did not seem to notice or care. Something was on her mind. She had come early to the beach near the Hotel in order to clear her head. She took care not to disturb her roommate while she got ready and slipped out. The teachers probably would not approve of her sneaking away from the Hotel this morning. Her roommate would not approve of her missing breakfast so that she could escape from the Hotel unnoticed. But she needed to clear her head, and the Hotel was not the place to do it. What she needed was a nice, solitary place to retreat to so that she could sort out her thoughts. The beach would do, as it was largely deserted so early in the morning. Danielle continued to walk, deep in thought. The faint scent of lavender dwindled in the fresh ocean air. |

The waters continued to mesmerize his thoughts as he stared blankly at the roaring waves. He was fully entranced, there wasn't a single other sound over the water. There was so much to do now, his thoughts would not leave him alone, and JeY would be left to jump into a slow recovery. He had to catch up with everyone, practice with his new deck, re-establish his friendships... Rina... But he couldn't help think that he was forgetting something. Something happened before his life suddenly changed so rapidly, before he was knocked out. It was unfortunate, his time in comatose is a big setback, and really inconvenient. All of his current thoughts had been knocked cold that day, and he has to remember exactly what he left behind. He figured, this would never come into fruition in just one day - this whole process would take a lot of time to clear. He would need much more time to just... remember. Even though his thoughts invaded his state of mind constantly, all at once, he had to fight to settle to do this one step at a time. He just woke up, not too long ago, and he mustn’t be stressed out. As far as he knew, he was finally back to normal. Completely normal, as far as he understood. He was glad that it was all over now - it was a good run while it lasted, though. Now, to pick up the pieces to his clumsily dropped life and put them back in order, and tilt them in the right directions to fit with each other. And here came one of those pieces now, sloshing down the beach's sands, as close to the water as possible. The sudden footsteps, quiet as they may be, somehow reached his ears to be perceived at a higher priority than the water. His head jolted quickly to their direction, his train of through temporarily taking a ride into a deep hole. He couldn't believe his eyes - he just... stared at her. |

Danielle continued walking. Her thoughts were not on the beautiful scenery around her, nor were they on the couple who was walking toward her. Her mind was elsewhere. She had met a few people on the school field trip, and she had gotten to know some of her classmates a little better. But what was the point of it all? The field trip was almost over, and yet she had not done much of anything that she had wanted to do when she set out to Silvershine at the beginning of the week. Now, she could not help but feel disappointed that her trip had not been what she had hoped for it to be. She stepped closer to the beach to let the couple pass her by. She raised her eyes from the ground ahead of her. The couple were holding hands. Danielle continued walking. The winds were strong here on the shoreline, and they blew gracefully through her hair. But they carried a salty scent. The air was clear and pure, but it was not refreshing. She missed deeply the scent of flowers. Alone on the deserted shore, the broken gale could find no solace. She had flown with mechanical wings of willpower and determination. She had willed herself to be happy, even though she was alone. There was no flock for her to follow. There was no bird to match her feathers. Her shining wings were broken. All she had now were her wings of steel. She would fly alone if she must, but she would fly. Danielle stopped. She raised her head. The sky was clear. Although the air was not refreshing, she could at least fly in these skies. They were not what she had hoped them to be, but she could understand the imperfections in reality. These skies were lonely and cold and dry. But these skies were her sanctuary, for better or worse. She would take what she had, broken as it was. She would take it and make the best out of it. If she was happy, then she would be happy. If she was sad, then she would be sad. If she was lonely, then she would be lonely. But she could embrace it all, even the sadness, with a hopeful smile. Someday, the winds would change. Someday, she would return to soaring through the clouds. Danielle turned her head toward the boy sitting on the shoreline. He was staring at her. Danielle looked at him. She waited. Her hair continued to glide in the wind as she stood motionless. Then she turned away. She began to head back to the hotel. Something about the way the boy was looking at her made her uneasy. Something in the back of her mind stirred, as if she should recognize him from somewhere. But she continued walking anyway. |

He was lost in the trance of observing her character - she seemed to be dug deep in a well of thought, with nothing but a bucket landing on her head would wake her up and be able to pull her out. And now he was in this state being amazed about someone else being in the state, which... was ordinary for people who just woke up from being asleep for months? But she stopped, and looked at him. She... just looked at him, and he did nothing but stare back. Not until she turned around that he became brutally aware that she just stared at him, and continued to turn and just walk away. It was a brief moment he held, his eyes to hers. His dark blue-greens to her uneasy stare. But she turned anyway. It was a great moment for him, and he snapped back to reality just in time. "Danielle?" He said quietly at first, not exactly to himself, but he then realized that the volume he spoke at wasn't going to reach her ears, not well if at all. "Hey, wait! Danielle!" He called after her, quickly propping himself on his feet and dashing quickly in the sand shifting, jetting backwards from under his feet. He didn't know why she didn't recognize him, say hi, or even be remotely happy to see him. Though it hard to remember that he was asleep, out of view for months. It didn't take nearly any time or effort to catch up to her, but that was about as far as he was going to get. Now that he was here, what's next? What does he do now? There were a lot of questions running through his head, vivid memories of his dream, and even the reality not too far behind it flustering his mind. He was completely lost now, with no one to answer him, but her. Edited by JeY Nakari, Oct 13 2009, 03:12 PM.

Danielle stopped. She looked over her shoulder. The boy was coming toward her-- he really had called her name. He definitely was familiar, then. He had to be a student at the Academy-- but she didn't know who he was at all. She hadn't seen him all week, that was for sure. And he wasn't someone she saw in class, either. She turned around to face him. When he arrived, he just stood there. Danielle waited a moment for him to say something. He did not. The two stood in silence on the deserted beach. Danielle smiled, when she could no longer wait for him to say whatever it was that was on his mind. "... Hi!" |

Her greeting cut through his mind sharper than a knife fresh off the stone. He came to his senses, after a bizarre thought pattern that took over his logical thought. What he desperately needed, was a way to bring up what he wanted to say, but maybe that was for another time. For now, he had to refresh her memory of his existence - and maybe, what happened between them. "...Hey." He shook his head. He realized how long he had been gone, and how brief their encounter really was. Could she remember him from that long ago? At least, he knew where to start now. "It was a while ago when we met, and I have been gone for some time since then..." He started. Of course, that was an absolutely stupid thing to say; or so he thought. Why did he say that? There was a much better way to word things. But none of that was important now. "...Do you remember me?" He finished. That is what he wanted to say from the beginning, but for some reason he believed the question needed an introduction to lead into it. Really dumb idea, but this was really hard for JeY to deal with. He quickly wondered if anything was going to go right. In fact, he forgot to mention his name, but then he realized it would be better to try and say it if she didn't recognize his appearance; his voice... Edited by JeY Nakari, Oct 13 2009, 03:22 PM.

Danielle smiled nervously. Apparently this person was someone she was supposed to know. She still couldn't place him easily, though. His voice sounded vaguely familiar, but at the same time there was something unfamiliar about it. It was really confusing. "Um..." She bit her lip for a second. "Not really.... sorry...." At least he had explained a little about where she might know him from. But she still had no idea where, except for the faint suspicion that he must be a student at the Academy. But why would he be gone so soon after the start of the year when they must have met? It really didn't make sense to her. He could be anyone, really. His story was so vague that she had no idea if it was real, even. But he knew her name, so she'd at least give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he was a student at the Academy. |

His troubled gaze met hers, as he waited with great anticipation for her response. Unfortunately, solely his voice and his face would not be enough to jog her memory. He decided to push it to the side - it was a while ago they met, and considering the brief circumstances, time whittles things well. It was attempt two, he would simply try his name, if not, he would have to tell his whole story. "Oh..." He said, his mind sifting through a million ways to say one simple thing. Calm down JeY... Just take this one step at a time, smoothly. He took a breath, and sighed briefly. "My name is JeY Nakari; I attend the academy, but I was knocked to a coma and sent away shortly after we met." He breathed again. He wasn't going to tell the WHOLE story yet, but just enough to explain who he was, and why she should remember him. "But I'm awake now, and I have a lot of things I need to fix..." JeY said. He hoped that would bring some concern in her to put more effort into prying her own memory. Silence. "JeY?! Really?!" Suddenly everything made sense. He did look like JeY, actually. And JeY was the student who had gotten injured in that freak earthquake and fell into a coma. She remembered all that now. Something about the occurance of a sudden and unexpected earthquake had made her uneasy-- it reminded her too much of her battle against Van'Dalgyon. But nothing seemed to come of that, so she accepted it as a perfectly natural, if odd, occurance. She hadn't really thought much about him as the weeks passed. They hadn't been really close before he fell into his coma. She didn't really hear the second part, about JeY wanting to fix some things. In fact, she'd pretty much stopped listening after he told her his name. "How long have you been around here?" |
