[Day 14 – Evening Setting]

He slowly got out of his bed, stretching his limbs.

Ahhh, that was such a good sleep! I feel totally refreshed!

You slept for roughly fifteen hours.

. . . WHAT. WHY DIDN’T YOU WAKE ME SOONER?

Calm down. We both needed rest after the events that transpired yesterday. It is good that your body is in optimal condition. Get ready. The time has come for you to fulfil your vengeance against Overlord Z.

...! I had forgotten about that with all the drama that happened yesterday. I need to get my Duel Disk fixed. Hmm I don’t sense my roommate’s presence. He probably needs some time alone anyway to reconcile about yesterday’s events.

He took a quick shower and cleaned his teeth before getting dressed. He had decided to wear a pair of black trousers which were made out of a material which allowed for flexibility within the legs. A pure black, combat vest was worn over a plain black T-shirt and finally, his trench coat was cloaked around his body. Pausing briefly, he considered whether to take Zetsuboumaru with him or not. After much deliberation he secured the sheath by tying his karate Black Belt around his waist. His trench coat was now buttoned up to conceal the weapon and the belt at the cost of losing manoeuvrability. He picked up his shades, placed them on his face, put on a pair of trainers, swung his backpack around his shoulders and exited the room.

It would be best if Drakow grabbed something to eat before setting out. To that end he entered the Hotel’s restaurant and grabbed a quick bite to eat. He ended up devouring a mandarin and a kiwi fruit as well as a chocolate chip cookie. Despite skipping two meals for the day, Drakow wasn’t feeling extremely hungry at the moment and what he had eaten would suffice his stomach.

He took a train to the Transit Towers, getting off at the very last stop. From there, he took a ferry to Starfield’s island. Z’s mansion was actually rather close to the port at Starfield’s island.

Probably for a quick getaway.

As he was almost seemingly gliding across the path he sensed the presence of another. He quickly darted off to the side of the stone walkway and hid in the vegetation that was in abundance on either side of the path. He undid the buttons on his trench coat in preparation for combat. A few minutes passed and then a man dressed in a yellow suit, carrying a metallic box was sighted by Van’Dalgyon; slowly progressing across the pathway.

This is the only path which leads to Z’s mansion from the ground. That I am aware of. Judging from what you claimed about his uniform I would hazard a guess that he is carrying something radioactive inside that container. I wonder what Z needs it for. Probably for a source of energy if I was going to take a guess. That’s what radioactive substances are normally used for. I want answers.

As the man approached the position where Drakow was minutes before, the blind fighter lunged out of the trees and launched a side thrust kick to the agent’s vulnerable kidney. The agent barely had time to react to the blinding speed of the Yokogeri Kikomi. The lead box hid the ground with a loud thud and a muffled groan could barely be heard by the agent as he collapsed. Drakow picked up the agent from the floor with both hands and slammed his body against a thick tree trunk. He removed the mask that the agent was wearing and used his other arm to keep the agent pinned against the tree by grabbing his throat. He was aware that the agent still had two hands and two legs to retaliate with but Drakow was not concerned. Having control of the face grants you control of their body. He made the assumption that movement would be difficult in such a suit, which only augmented Drakow's lack of concern for any retaliation that the agent may attempt to unleash.

“I want answers. What is inside that container and who are you delivering it to?”

”Bah! You’re getting nothing out of me.”

Drakow squeezed the man’s throat a little tighter and used his free hand to unsheathe Zetsuboumaru. Seconds after, the dark blade was pointed towards the agent’s face in a threatening manner. Drakow could sense the increase in fear within the agent. The agent’s eyes began to bulge as terror began to overwhelm him.

“You will tell me everything you know or else I am going to plunge this blade through your brain.”

Drakow released his vice grip on the agent slightly. The agent gulped but then decided to speak.

”You are getting nothing out of me. Kill me if you wish.”

“Fine. Have it your way.”

Drakow tightened his grip against the agent’s throat tighter and tighter. The agent tried to struggle, flailing his arms and legs but without any effect on Drakow. Soon after, the agent lost consciousness and Drakow released his grip.

You did not kill him.

I already told you. I am not an executioner. Besides there is nothing he can do now anyway.

Your lack of resolve for killing is a weakness that Z can expose and take advantage of.

I will take my chances.

Fool.

. . .

Drakow grabbed the unconscious agent and flung him over one of his shoulders. He then walked a little deeper into the vegetation and located a large tree to climb. He removed the suit from the agent and began to climb the tree with the agent. It was difficult but Drakow managed by holding onto the tree with his free arm and then launching his body up with his legs, and then using his legs to hook around the trunk. Then he would raise his free arm and hold onto a higher part of the trunk and repeat the process again until he reached a fairly high branch. He placed the agent on the branch, with his face against the trunk. Drakow withdrew some rope from his bag and used it to strap the agent against the tree trunk. He then withdrew his old blind fold and used that to gag the agent’s mouth.

“That should keep you out of my way for a while.”

Drakow reached back to ground level and searched the agent’s suit for anything of use. He found an identity card key which assumingly could be used to access certain areas of Z’s mansion.

It wasn’t long before the massive gates that formed the barrier between the Overlord’s mansion and the rest of the world loomed ahead. There was a slot for a card key to be placed. A man wearing a yellow suit, carrying a lead container approached the gates. He placed the card key through the slot scanner and the gates opened. The security guards at the gate gave their acknowledgment for the man to walk through. The man passed through the oversized garden which featured many statues of different creatures, a small lily pond and plenty of vegetation; and entered the mansion. If Drakow could see or had the Dark Spirit residing within him to describe the landscape, It probably would have surprised Drakow that someone as dull as the Overlord had such a lively looking front garden.

Drakow has knowledge about the ground floor of Z’s mansion. There were two locations on the ground floor where a card key could be issued to access different parts of the mansion. One was the one Z took when he left Drakow under Agent Σ. Drakow doubted the card key under his possession would access him to that section. No, he betted on the other door. He walked through a few rooms until he located the door in question. He placed the card key against the scanner and the door opened.

He stepped through and began walking through a long corridor, the sounds of the metal platforms against his shoes resounded through the length of the room. Eventually he reached yet another door with more advanced security measures. There was an eye scanner as well as a fingerprint scanner to gain access to the next room. A CCTV camera was also monitoring Drakow from the ceiling in one corner.

There is no way I will be able to get through that door by myself. But . . . that just might work.

He performed a quick spasm before collapsing to the floor. Around a minute passed before the steel door was opened from the other side and a scientist in a lab coat rushed over to the downed Drakow.

”Are you okay? What happened?”

“Ugh . . .”

The scientist helped Drakow to his feet but the moment Drakow was back on his two feet; he aimed an Empi (elbow strike) to the scientist’s throat. Due to the restrictions in movement because of the yellow suit, the attack only scraped its target and so he followed up with a Haito strike to the temple. This particular technique is probably easiest for me to explain by saying that you strike your opponent with your hand as if it were a blade. You keep your arm slightly bent and swing the arm round like a sword and strike the opponent with the joint which connects the thumb to the hand. You keep your fingers open but tuck the thumb in to tighten the edge of impact. The first strike made the scientist stumble slightly but the second was the knock out. The scientist dropped to the floor in a similar fashion to dropping a sack of flour. He grabbed the scientist and manipulated his body to open the door via bypassing the security features.

This room was simply put, a laboratory. There was the massive computer system of course as well as a generator of some sort and a lot of expensive equipment.

Success.

You do not have much time. It is likely Z knows something has gone wrong.

Oh yeah, the CCTV camera. I better get ready.

Van’Dalgyon spotted another camera in the lab and soon after, Drakow disabled the camera by throwing an object at it, say a stapler. He then removed the yellow coat and undid the buttons on his trench coat so that he regained his manoeuvrability. The unconscious scientist had a Ruger 9mm pistol on him and so Drakow took it. He then opened the lead container and had the lid facing towards the door so that anyone who entered would be unable to see the contents.

Several minutes passed.

Nothing happened.

Any second now . . .

Pshhhhhhh...

Do you hear some...

Gas. Exit this room immediately!

Unfortunately for Drakow, to escape the room he needed to use the scientist again to bypass the security measures. He managed to grab the scientist and deactivate the eye scanner but he suddenly felt his strength fade away from him.

I can’t give in . . .

Using what power he had left, he forced the scientist’s hand against the hand scanner and the door opened. He took two very unstable steps before finally collapsing to the metal floor.

Crap . . .

Damnation . . .

”Ah, I see you are awake.”

The almost involuntary slight movements Drakow makes when he awakens were noticed by the agent. To Drakow’s surprise he wasn’t being restrained in anyway shape or form.

”Before you try and do anything foolish, I will let you know that there is a capsule inside your body. It is currently harmless to you however, should you do anything unfavourable to the Overlord, a signal will be emitted from the mansion and if you are within the range of this signal, a chemical reaction will take place, triggering the capsule and you will die. It’s not all bad though, Draco. Within roughly 24 hours the capsule will pass through your digestive system and leave your body through your urinal system. I will take you to see the Overlord now.”

Drakow had nothing to say to any of this. He had failed in his revenge and now he was at the mercy of Overlord Z. He rose to his feet and followed the agent. He recognized the voice of the agent and remembered who he was. Agent Σ, the one who looked after Drakow while he was imprisoned in Z’s mansion for a week.

After passing through a couple of long corridors, taking a few elevators and passing through a few security checks, the pair which were not a pair arrived at the front door to Z’s office room. It was a different room to the one Drakow had encountered Z last time.

”I have brought the boy as requested.” Announced Agent Σ.

"Excellent. Wait outside Σ.”

The door opened and Drakow entered the room slowly. There was nothing particularly special about this room; it looked like any executive’s office room except with overly expensive objects like a desktop computer, table, file cabinets and stuff like that.

"Take a seat.”

He obliged silently.

"You have caused me a great deal of inconvenience.”

“Awesome.”

"The container that was previously in your possession is empty. Fortunately, I am a man who considers every possible eventuality. And you will be playing a big part of my new plan.”

“Damn you.”

"Tomorrow I will be inviting some of your students to take part in a special dueling battleground.”

Drakow had begun to piece things together.

“So then, you were draining my energy with my Duel Disk.”

"Exactly.”

“And now you want me to duel my fellow students to gather energy for something?”

"Correct.”

“Fine, I will help you. But on one condition. You fix my Duel Disk.”

"You are in no position to compromise with me.”

“I don’t think you understand. I cannot duel to my best ability knowing that my precious Duel Disk is damaged. It just doesn’t feel right.”

There was a short pause.

"How illogical. Very well then. Disappointing me now would be very unwise for you, Mr Black.”

Drakow nodded his head. Z spoke with that same dull, almost monotone, voice.

"You are dismissed. Your belongings are by the left side of the doorway. Leave your Duel Disk behind. Agent Σ will escort you back to your room. You will receive instructions tomorrow in regards to this dueling warzone.”

The Ra Yellow picked up his backpack and katana and exited the room.

A few minutes passed and then Overlord Z reached into a drawer and pulled out his PDA which was given to him during his brief stay at the academy. He began typing a message to one of the teachers at Crimson Wind Academy. This particular teacher asked the Overlord for a favour to instruct some of her students, giving the reasoning that she wasn’t feeling too well to take the class herself. Now was the time for Z to make a request of his own.

Title: Dueling Showdown

Miss Kyung-Yoon

I apologize for sending you a message at this time of night. As you may be aware, I have chosen to invest a large sum of money for Crimson Wind Academy. It is in my interest to help provide the necessary funding required for the academy to function efficiently to ensure that the next generations will have adequate support in their education. To that end I would like to notify you of an event that will be held in my mansion in Starfield's Island tomorrow. It will be a dueling showdown with some of my agents against any students from Crimson Wind Academy who are interested in this event. I am interested to see how my agents will fare against students from Crimson Wind Academy. It would be beneficial to me if you could notify the students of Crimson Wind Academy about this event and act as my emissary to ensure safe passage of the students to my mansion. I have arranged a ferry to transport anyone interested at midday. One of my agents will be in contact with you after arriving at Starfield's Island to direct you to my mansion. I apologize for the short notification but If you accept, it would be greatly appreciated and surely worthwhile for the students.

Regards.

Overlord Z.

He clicked the send button.

Now back in his room, after eating a cooked roast chicken with some vegetables from Agent Σ, Drakow took a nice, long, hot bath in the shower which could comfortably fit two people inside. Following that, he brushed his teeth and exited the bathroom. Drakow then jumped onto the queen sized bed and began thinking about the events that had just transpired.

Things didn’t work out quite the way I had wanted.

If I had my full strength, we would not be in this situation. Although, you did manage to cause Z some inconvenience so your efforts to achieve your revenge were not in total vain.

Yeah I guess so. Looks like I might be dueling my classmates tomorrow. This is just the opportunity I need to test your new deck out. Forget about that failure of a plan Gouki and I had for dueling the Obelisk Dorm. This will be far more interesting and hopefully challenging. I wonder if Gouki will show up. I might be able to have my rematch with him at long last. I will show him how much stronger I have become since last time. Hmm will that girl come? That could make things really interesting, though I don’t think she’s much of a duelist. Might be pretty boring actually. It sucks that Z will be draining the energy from each duelist though. There’s really nothing I can do to stop him either. Damn, I’m actually getting excited about tomorrow. This is an excellent way for people to realize just how great a duelist I truly am! I also feel a bit bad for involuntarily helping Z achieve his goal, whatever that is. It just can’t be helped. Will I be expelled from the academy for this?

Thinking about the future in that manner is foolish. It is late, we should get some rest for tomorrow.

Fine, fine.

Sleep did not come easy to Drakow as he was still feeling excited about the dueling showdown that would be commencing tomorrow but eventually, he passed into the world of dreams.
