After a long afternoon of picture hunting and seeing the wildlife around and inside the lake, Douken took the two women off to a small cottage near the shoreline. Checking under the mat, he found a spare key and opened the front door. "Come on in and make yourselves at home," Douken said, smiling. "Go ahead and relax. I will see if there is anything to eat. Before that, maybe we should also get Akane a towel after that huge fish splashed her in the face," he laughed. It felt good to be home, no matter how short of time it was since he left.

"Sky, we also got a printer to print off some of those images if you want as well..." he offered, pointing to the computer set up next to the couch.

Little Miss Sky obscured her smile, by raising her hand over her mouth. She did not wish for Akane to notice that she was smiling at her expense. However, the incident had been a rather amusing one. Sky couldn't help but smile at the memory. She followed Douken inside the cottage.

It had gotten late suddenly while Sky had been out on her photo adventure. They would have had to go back by the subway, and try to get to the Hotel. It was something Sky would have done if she had to, but it was much better to have a convenient place at the lake to rest. Hopefully the teachers did not mind.

Sky made her way over to the computer while Douken began to leave the room in search of food. Reaching into her camera case, she withdrew a USB connector. She plugged it in to the computer. She glanced over at Akane, waiting for her pictures to load.

Akane was still sour-faced over the incident. The slimy feeling on her face caused her to shiver in great displeasure and disgust. She wiped as much off as she could with her bare hands. ...Yuck. But that wasn't enough. What was worse, her shirt smelled as much like fish as her face did, thanks to the icky sea creature. Travelling in public would become uncomfortable, later.

"Ugh. Yes. Please. And don't remind me." ...She'd never look at a live fish the same way, again.

In the meantime, her dark green eyes scanned the cottage interior - it didn't seem near as run down as she had thought. .... She glanced at the computer from a distance. All the while, wondering if it had (digital) camera software built in. ...Likely so, thinking about it. That proved to be the case as Sky got to work on printing her shots. With Sky smiling at the Osiris Amazon, Akane grinned lightly, as if weights were somehow on her lips.

Douken went and took a towel from a cupboard and tossed it to Akane. "If you want, the shower is down the hall to your left," he told the two, just in case they needed to use the bathroom, or in Akane's case, wash off.

The living room was not that fancy. It had a 32 in. widescreen TV hooked up to a set of speakers, and attached to it was a DVD player. The decorations consisted of a rug with a coffee table on top and the walls decorated with photos, some of the children alone, some of the two brothers together, and an old family group photo from last Christmas. In two of the pictures, one of each of the children in the family, was a recent picture of them with a card in the bottom corners. Douken was obvious to spot with his glasses and his left eye inwards with a "Field Commander Rahz" card in the bottom, right hand corner. The other brother had black hair and jade green eyes and had a "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes" on the bottom right.

Douken was examining the fridge to see what they had. "Well, i would say it would be best that we rest up here and eat a bit before we head back to the hotel. I mean, it would be fun to stay, but you would have to worry about my father and the fact we don't really have the room for guests," he laughed slightly. telling them that small bit about his father just reminded him on how he reacted to Dani. "Now lets see, if you want, I can cook up a pan of Rice-a-Rini to get some energy back, then catch the bus and subway back. From there, we should be able to be back at the hotel by 7:30 to 8 o' clock..."

Sky began to browse through today's pictures, moving the ones she liked into another folder for printing later. She moved the picture she had taken of people in the subway. She chose the picture she had taken of the lake shore. She selected the picture she had taken of an open field of flowers.

Douken mentioned something about heading back to the Hotel. Sky had not anticipated this, but it was a logical move. They'd be getting back late, though. However, they might be able to sneak in undetected. Or they could talk their way out of being late in coming back. Perhaps the best course of action would be to inform the teachers that they would be getting back late, although they still ran the risk of getting into trouble.

Sky nodded in agreement to Douken's plan. She did not have any reason to go against his wishes, as he was the host for their brief visit. She turned back towards him, realizing that he might not be able to see her through the wall. She almost spoke, but then turned to Akane instead.

"I'm fine with that."

She waited for Akane's input, hoping that the Amazon would simply speak for both of them to Douken.

Akane caught the towel easily and thanked Douken before making her way to the bathroom. She took her time, examining the home all the while. Halting due to Douken's suggestion with the towel over her arm, Akane glanced back and said,

"That's probably best. Aside from curfew, we're in no hurry; dinner at the hotel will be over before we get back, anyhow. ...And there may be less people on the trains and buses by then..." her voice trailed off as she calmly turned a left corner towards the bathroom.

"If anything, we can get something quick to make at the snack bar they have open until 10, so eating may not be too bad," he said, pouring the rice into the pan. "Oh, Akane, you want to set the temperature hotter than it normally would. Where the center is placed temperature-wise is a bit to the right to hot."

As the rice began cooking, Douken left the kitchen and headed back into the living room to where Sky was uploading. "Do you mind printing a copy of the fox picture for me? I liked that one best," he told her, taking down his picture. Carefully, he took the back off and removed the picture and took the card from where it was. Afterwards, he paced a new card back in its place and fixed it back up, setting it back on the wall. Where Rahz stood was now the Great Shogun Shien. "So Sky, what do you think of my quiet little home?"

Sky nodded in response to Akane and Douken before she turned back to the computer. She scrolled through the list of today's pictures, and located the aforementioned "fox picture." She then dragged it into the folder of pictures she planned to keep. Sky opened up the picture, and sent a color print command to the printer at her side. It lit up and hummed to life, self-activating to carry out the print order. The printer began to spit out a picture of a fox, leaping away into the treeline. Their party had discovered the fox, and Sky was about to take a picture of it when a slight misstep-- twig snap-- alerted the young fox to their presence. Sky snapped the picture just as the shy animal began to flee. The image was slightly blurred from the quick motion, but the face of the leaping fox was clearly defined. It was an excellent picture.

While the printer worked on bringing the image to life one noisy centimeter at a time, Sky had minimized the fox image and had resumed her work. Douken spoke to her. Sky did not take her eyes off of the computer screen.

"I quite enjoy the atmosphere. It has a cozy feel to it."

The printer finished its work. Sky opened up another picture and began to print it, too. She glanced over her shoulder to make sure that Akane had momentarily left the room.

The raven-haired girl was about to close the door of the bathroom when Douken called out to her, informing the girl of the temperature issue regarding the bath's settings.

"...Alright...." Following that, she closed the door, none the wiser of what was going on outside of the bathroom.

Douken took a break to start putting in the water and mix before Akane closed the bathroom door behind her and waited for it to biol. In the meantime, Douken went back to Sky and asked, "So tell me, did you get the picture of the fish?" he chuckled, the image of the giant catfish splashing her while they were on the boat.
