For starters, my name is not actually Jason. This is just my intended character's name (which I'll post once I've thought up everything and put it to paper, by which I mean my text file), but you probably assumed that. And if you haven't figured it out yet, I have a horrible sense of humor. It's something you have to get used to, especially when I make a joke so dry it makes the Sahara look like an oasis. (And I will be riddled with bullets in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...) That said, I'm here because after watching the first season of GX in the past month (after watching and/or re-watching a ton of YGO-TAS episodes and being bored with the ones they're based off) I decided I wanted to look for some kind of RP. This was the first one that caught my eye on the Zeta directory, probably due to its relation to GX. Of course, to do so I'd actually have to learn the game. Thankfully, video games have gotten me most of what I should need to know, and I'm now in the process of scouring a wiki to look for cards to build a deck with. It helps that I'm no stranger to card games, though. I've been playing Magic for too long. (On a related note, are there any restrictions on the format, besides the forbidden/limited lists? Since there are with Magic I figured I'd ask before finalizing my deck.) Outside of card games, I play video games (primarily Guitar Hero, Sonic, and Pokemon) and the miniatures games Warmachine and Hordes (where at some point I might post some of the minis I've painted). Most of my time is spent on one of those or my job. Done a few RP's here and there, but more often than not they ended up collapsing and/or closing. So pretty much my only fix before I found this place was the occasional D&D session (yes, I'm a nerd), and those have been coming less consistent lately excepting the game I'm running. So yeah. That said, at some point I should finish working on that deck and finish my character so I can take that entrance exam and stuff. So yeah. |

Hi Jason! I'm Danielle Chirel, and I'm really glad to see an awesome-sounding nerd show up here on our forum! I guess you seem to know all about the Exam and RP Profiles and stuff, so it's cool that you're already working on them. So!~ I guess I'll tell you a bit about myself! I play anything and everything green-white, most notably Selesnya and Oversoul. And I play my share of D&D too-- at school mostly, but that's a great place to find people to party with. Anyway, that's about as much as we have in common. I don't play many videogames anymore, and I never quite got started with minis because the friends I was going to play with moved. About the format question, there's no restriction other than the Limited/Forbidden list, which at times isn't nearly as fun (loves drafting most of all!) Okay, that seems about it for now. I look forward to RPing with you! And if you need any help or have questions or anything, don't hesitate to ask! I'm more than happy to help you~ |

Welcome. Please download a program called "Yugioh Virtual Dueling" or simply YVD from xerocreative.com. It's basically a really bad version of Magic Online. It can be updated with a complete database of all cards available in the game. |

Thanks for the welcomes. About 80% done with my character (just need to finish the image I'm working up and put the history to paper, plus finish the deck), should be up midweek depending on what kind of time I get. YVD's downloaded and I have cards, so deck shouldn't be long. Now all I have to do is get rid of this cold. :/ |

Hey, Jason! Welcome to insanity that is known by the name of CWA. You can call me Keith if you'd like. Once you get your character profile finished, you should either request an entrance exam or if you want to skip it, PM one of the staff members (probably Danielle because she's always on! 0_0) and let them know.
