To the average person, the surroundings of the hallways, a bright pale colour decorating the walls, the silver of the doors that seemed to automatically open upon detecting the presence of a person would not have been such a thing to be awe-stricken over, but Akira hailed from a broken background -- even the smallest thing was amazing to her, including the now obsolete duel disk she carried on her arm with the Heroes that had guided her through the journey from the run-down town where misery was her closet friend to the stepping stone towards the promised place she had sworn to her mentor, Kouyou Hibiki, that she would reach ; The Pro League. Light silver hair, messy in it's design, reached to the short stop of the nape of the bronze woman's neck, the black woolen shirt she adorned underneath the flared Ra Yellow Blazer stopped just above her midriff, exposing her toned stomach to the air, a yellow belt holding her black jeans up around her curvy hips, her chestnut oculars taking in the sight of the shop that held the new duel disks and even newer cards, it was here that Akira felt she should do something with her deck, her yellow sneaker-clad feet carrying her towards the front desk, her palms grazing across the smooth surface of the counter, before her lips curled and separated, her voice breaking through, "Saa ne...nanka Erementaru Hiiro kaado ga nai desu ka" she queried in her first and primary tongue, presented with a display of the cards she wanted, but much to her dismay, they were far beyond her cash limitation, "Kuso!" she cursed aloud to herself at the predicament that came from hailing from a broken down town. |

The card store, where the white haired Ra Yellow had received the Dark Dragon Lord card. That boy Kouji certainly wanted to know a lot more about her Van'Dalygon, so perhaps Billie would do some of her own sleuthing, trying to find out what made this particular card different. Seems someone's already here. she thought to herself, noting the presence of a fellow white haired, yellow jacketed duelist. She noted the girl's old fashioned duel disk, it looked like the one the legendary duelist Yugi Motou used in Battle City. Billie had only see 2 other duelists on the island use such a relic. Her roommate Danielle, and that odd boy Nexus. In anycase, Billie decided that this would be a good time to make a new friend. "Why, hello there." she curtsied before the tanned Ra Yellow duelist before introducing herself. "My name is Billie May Hatcher." The sound of footsteps, back home, advancing footsteps to Akira meant someone was trying to sneak up on her, more often than not for negative intentions, resulting in her immediate spin around, the once composed features of the tanned, well endowed woman tainted by a scowl that would quickly lighten up into a friendly smile upon her chestnut oculars meeting the sight of long, flowing silver hair, unlike her own, it looked like a lot of care went into it, even Akira, beautiful by her own respect fell into awe with the other woman's beauty; it exceeded her own. In response to the formalities of the Ra Yellow girl, she extended a bronze hand to the shorter woman, her other hand making an attempt to cover the muscular form of her stomach with the blazer; she didn't want to scare a potential friend off, "Ossu. Aki demasu." She introduced herself in her native tongue only to shortly realize that she may have to reword it in English, "Hey. I'm Aki." her informality was something she had not gotten over, this was how she approached everyone. |

The speed at which the girl turned around startled Billie a tad. She did not expect the girl to be quite agile and responsive. It was at this point that she could notice the other girl's feature. For some peculiar reason, Billie could not help but to compare herself to this girl. Perhaps because they shared some similarities, it seemed like an obvious choice to immediately identify difference. The girl seemed to be quite in shape, perhaps even muscular to an extent. Billie, a girl who had very few children to play with, growing up at a monastery, may have looked quite weak in comparison to this girl. Billie's legs, shown off under her black skirt, seemed very un-toned and perhaps even pathetic compared to this girl's muscular legs, shown off on her faded black jeans. The girl's brown eyes looked somehow more warm and inviting then Billie's own cold, blue eyes. And her chest... well, Billie crossed her arms across her own pair, a tad embarrassed about size issues. "Ossu. Aki demasu." A befuddled look was displayed on Billie's pale white face. As if the girl noticed her confusion, she spoke once more. "Hey. I'm Aki." "Oh, um... hello." Billie smiled, repeating the name once or twice in her head in order to not forget it. "Are you here to improve your deck?" The snow-haired girl turned to see the counter that Aki was previously looking at, a section on Elemental Heroes. |

Her quick movements were a result of how life had been to her up until her arrival at the Academy; it had forced her to be agile, but there also came a draw-back to being that quick on your feet -- the rapidly depleting number of friends and being labeled a delinquent. It had only taken a moment's eye-scanning to realize that she was being sized up by the other girl, it was rather flattering for Akira, whom subconsciously had been taking in as much of an eyeful as she could of the other girl; porcelain skin, a petite frame that looked like she could be broken just as easily as glass could be shattered, Billie's legs, they were in comparison, weaker than her own legs, but their smooth texture probably drew the boy's eyes towards them -- the proportions of the slightly shorter girl seemed perfect in contrast to her own, all except for the lack of the curve upon the longer haired woman's chest, that would probably send the boys running, while her own chest stuck out in it's own bubbly fashion, and resulted in many unwanted stares from males; Akira held many a secret behind the warm, inviting brown hues of her eyes; a dark past filled with loss, pain and suffering as well as a small resentment for males that she had formed in the short years she had taken to travel to this Academy. Why was she here again? to fulfill the promise she had made to a very old friend, her slender bronze fingers slid over the smooth back of the top card of her deck, pulling it out of the old duel disk's deck slot; a duel disk that would take most fans back quite a few years, back to the debut of Mutou Yuugi and Battle City, "Yeah, I came here to improve my deck so that I can grant the wish of an old friend..." upon mentioning the wish, the girls eyes fell to the floor, downcast, a change of beat as tears threatened to overflow and pour down her cheeks. |

"Yeah, I came here to improve my deck so that I can grant the wish of an old friend..." Billie heard from the new Ra Yellow. Billie thought to herself how noble that must have been. To be here and to duel, knowing you were doing so to support someone you cared for, someone you loved. Billie reflected upon her own life, and couldn't help but feel a little bad. She had it all back in her East Germanic village. A nice family, and a great friend in Dante, however she threw it all away to come here, for her own selfish gains. In one way, she knew her family and friends all supported her, but deep down inside, she knew how they'd miss her dreadfully. Billie turned to see the girl, eyes staring down at the floor, the long-haired duelist could tell the girl was upset. "Uhh... are you... okay?" she inquired, taking a step forward to examine the girl. |

Akira raised her right arm, rubbing it's smooth, silky surface over her eyelids, making her best attempt to erase the tears that threatened to taint her composed appearance, it was unacceptable to show just how much she had been affected by the deaths of close friends, lifting her bronze face up to bring a bright, beaming smile to the girl before her, even if it was fake, she was good at lieing, "I'm fine." She lied; this was her secret, her dark past and nobody else needed to know about it, so once again, she would hide behind that fake smile, forcing her smile to be vibrant, shining through those watery brown hues, "Sorry for worrying you." Akira apologized with the same beaming smile. Did her mother miss her? certainly not; did she have anything left to go back home to? not unless someone could count the darkness deep in her heart, but that was a darkness she didn't want to give into; she didn't need darkness in her heart after all, right? at least, that's what she wanted to believe, "If you've got nothing planned, Billie, could you show me around the academy; I'm kind of new." she admitted with a cheesy grin, letting a small embarrassed giggle pass between her bronze lips. |

The girl before Billie smiled radiantly. Billie was relieved that the girl was alright. She appologized for worrying the young Ra Yellow, before asking for a tour of the Academy. "Well..." started Billie, thinking it over. The card shop would still be here tomorrow morning, and she didn't desperately need to find out about the card she possesed. Thinking back on the whole thing, the Osiris boy she had just finished dueling probably did plant the deck on her, and he was just too shy to admit it. "I'm not too busy." she continued. "I'd be glad to show you around." She smiled. |
