Danielle tapped her hand against the tabletop restlessly, tapping out the rhythm of the song in her head. She looked around the Hotel lobby again for Rina and Aoi. They had said they would only be a few minutes-- and to be honest, only a few minutes might have passed. But waiting at the table with nothing to do made that time feel longer. The lobby was beginning to empty, and breakfast had almost been put away. Danielle had saved a little bit of what she could-- four leftover Danishes, two strawberry flavored and two apple flavored ones. She looked at them thoughtfully. It would be best to wait for Rina and Aoi before having one... although she did want to eat something. In order to set her future breakfast out of mind long enough for Rina and Aoi to arrive, Danielle turned to her handy sketchbook. She took it out of her bag and opened it up to a blank page. She fished around for a pencil, and set it atop her sketchbook. She withdrew the final element with some effort, and placed the block eraser next to the sketchbook. Danielle set her purse down on the floor, and picked up her mechanical pencil. |

Roughly several minutes later, Rina and Aoi came down the hall from the elevator with Aoi seated before the redhead. With jeans shorts, a sleeveless top, and a red sweatband on her left wrist, Rina smiled towards Danielle - the usual toothy grin. "We're here~!" A backpack and a recyclable bag full of things found themselves attached to her. Rina had forgotten to take her medication, but that was fine. She didn't think it would be necessary for this outing. |

Aoi's eyes were focused on the ground. She hadn't been particularly enthusiastic about leaving the room, but there wasn't much she could do about it. After Dani had left, Aoi had remained emotionally distant from Rina. Aoi had chosen to remain in the same outfit from earlier that morning - a white shirt and a pale blue skirt. There wasn't a whole lot else she could wear, with casts on her legs and left arm. Even when Rina approached Dani's table, Aoi did not look up. |

Danielle looked up, hearing Rina's voice. She quickly closed her sketchbook and stashed it safely in her purse. She left her mechanical pencil and eraser out, for the moment. She smiled at the pair. Rina looked happy to be here, but Aoi appeared far less enthusiastic. On top of that, she was in a wheelchair. A moment's realization-- Danielle had completely forgot that Aoi had been so seriously hurt in the car accident earlier in the week. Aoi had gotten out of the hospital, but she wasn't back to normal yet. Perhaps the delay was reasonable, considering that Aoi looked unable to do a whole lot with all her broken limbs. Danielle tried to be happy for her though. "Hi! I managed to save some leftover breakfast for you! You've got your choice.... strawberry or apple." She checked the flavors once more before offering one each to the pair. She left the other two close at hand, in case they both wanted the same flavor. |

"Oh, cool! Thanks!" Rina glanced at them quickly. "I'll~... take the apple, please 'n thankya." Rina accepted the apple danish. She loved pastries in general, so there were no complaints on her end. She let Aoi pick one for herself. Good thing Dani grabbed 2 of each danish, too. Rina continued to smile as she awaited Aoi's choice.... |

"I'll take the strawberry." Aoi reached her right hand out to the pastries, but with little energy. It was a far different reaction from the previous evening at the mention of the cherry drink. Unfortunately, Dani did not have any cherry danishes. Any strengthening of Aoi's mood would have to come from some other source. Aoi avoided looking at either of the two girls as she waited for someone to hand her the strawberry danish. |

"Okay!" Danielle let Rina take the apple Danish. Aoi reached weakly for a strawberry one. She made no further motion toward the pastry, but instead waited where she was. Danielle waited for a brief moment, before realizing that moving any closer might put unnecessary strain on Aoi, due to her injuries. Danielle placed the strawberry Danish into Aoi's hand. For herself, Danielle excitedly picked up the remaining strawberry Danish. She tore open the packaging and brought it to her mouth. In an instant, it was gone. She picked up the apple Danish and began to unwrap it. "So, what do you feel like doing today? Any ideas?" |

((OOC: EDITED)) "! ...Hm~" Rina thought about it. She thought Dani had things already planned out. Hopefully she did, and was just asking out of courtesy or something. For now, though, just in case, she had to think fast so as not to bore Aoi with the fact that all she's doing is sitting around while a decision was to be made. ".... I dunno. I'd say a movie, but that isn't really doing much unless Aoi has something she wants to see. .... .... ...Did you have anything in mind, Dani? Aoi?" ((OOC2: That's a little better....)) Rina's comment caused Aoi to look up. She gave a quick glare at Rina, then looked down again. "How should I know what movies there are?" she answered, somewhat annoyed. She knew she had already been to Kaiba Land... but other than that, she didn't remember much else about the city's attractions. |

"H--!!" the instantaneous thought of lightning crashing from behind entered her mind "A--...." A nervous smile: it wavered weakly. Closing her eyes slowly, Rina's head sunk in shame. "Sorry.... I wasn't thinking...." Guilty, the redhead's mood wasn't about to suddenly improve drastically by any stretch of the imagination. ...That was a heavy blow for the girl. It was as if she had just caught the moment in time in which her friendship with Aoi was unsalvageable. That was how she felt right now. Her eyes were soon fixed on the back of Aoi's wheelchair. ".... ...." The texture was only now noted as she gave it a distant gander. |
