"Let's see..." Miss Kim said quietly to herself as she walked slowly between two shelves of books. Her fingers slid along the spines of the volumes as she searched for a particular call number. She held a small note card in her other hand. She knelt on the ground, examining the lower row. Her fingers finally settled on a book with a navy blue cover. She pulled it out and stood up. "There it is." Satisfied, she opened the book and flipped through a few pages as she emerged from the stacks. She walked over to her previously secured table and sat down. She pushed her bag to one side to make room for the book. Taking a quick sip of coffee, she began reading. |
