Name: Leo Horozaku Age: 16 Dorm: N/A Grade/Year: 2nd Gender: Male Race: Caucasian/Japanese Height: 5’8” Weight: 146 lbs Eye Color: Green Hair Color: Black with (X Color) Streaks Defining Characteristics: Leo’s skin is unblemished, although he does have a long scar that is over his left eye from right above the eyelash to above his lips, where it stops. His right wrist has a tattoo of black intersecting lines that form a circlet around the wrist. Appearance: Leo has lightly tanned skin with some muscle on his arms and legs. His normal attire consists of a pair of simple black pants, a colored t-shirt with his dorm’s jacket overtop, and a pair of simple, black running shoes. His face is clean and without mark, save the scar across his eye, although his hair usually stands out among others. His hair is dark black and cut to his neck in the back. The hair is very thin and straight, and it lays several inches over his left eye down to his nose. The color of his hair is usually combined with streaks of colors, depending on what dorm he is apart of (Light Blue, Gold, Crimson, or Emerald). Across his neck is a gold necklace with a lightning bolt piece centered on it, a treasure that was passed down through his family. His fingers each have their separate gold ring with the same, simple design, although each has a different letter emblazoned on it; from his right pinkie to his left pinkie, the letters are: A, S, O, M, H, D, B, L, G, K. Known Relatives: His father and mother, Kazu and Misa Horozaku. Biography: Leo grew up in Kyoto, Japan with his mother and father. His parents were both teachers at college-level; his mother an ancient history teacher and his father a mathematics teacher. While growing up, Leo grew to take a great interest in the Roman and Greek stories his mother told him, his favorites being about Alexander the Great. His parents were both busy during most of his childhood, so he was left to entertainment for himself, which is where he found out about a game called Duel Monsters. He began his interest by just watching a large screen in the mall he had wandered to, where a major game seemed to be being played out. The monsters on the screen reminded him of the stories he had learned from his mom, and Leo immediately bought his first pack. Only a few weeks later, Leo had picked up on enough of the game to be able to play in some of the tournaments that happened around the city. His parents had approved of him playing the game since it did help develop his abilities although it was a game. Pretty soon he had become one of the best duelists in Kyoto. It was at this time that he had turned 15 and received his parent’s gift: a transfer to an actual Duel Academy. Leo had been ecstatic when he first learned about his transfer, and he had everything packed up for his trip in a matter of hours. After a week, he had been admitted into the Duel Academy and spent his first year there. His first year at the Duel Academy had been an awakening of sorts for Leo. Although he had thought he was pretty good at the game, it had turned out that there were many other duelists that were far better than him. His dorm for the first year had been Sebek Green, a point to show that he had a while to go to become better at the game. By the time the year was over, Leo had been able to study hard enough to pass the first year as a Ra Yellow. Now with his second year at the academy beginning to start, it was time to see if he had just been lucky through his first time, or if he had actually picked something up from the classes.
