I cannot just take this anymore. I am going to post them here and I don't care what happens. Ban me if you want to. 1. Admins not doing their jobs up to par. This includes profiles taking 2 to 3 weeks to look at and not helping with all seriousness in a reasonable amount of time. I have seen all the admins on and they only do things for themselves like RP or make games. Yet when it comes to needing help, it takes weeks to get them to go. Also, admins have a sense of responsibility to be nice to users weather you have a vendetta against them or not. This is another reason we cannot keep alot of users. 2. The lack of Admins dolling out punishments. I have seen many flame wars but has anything been done? NO! This is yet another reason we cannot keep alot of users. They see that the admins seem unfit to run a site properly and leave immediately. And when somebody finally does decide to join, they post something that somebody else doesn't agree with and flames them for no reason. But does anything happen? NO! There have been many good people that come here that ultimately leave because they feel they cannot express their own opinions. 3. Lack of enforcing rules. Why have rules if you are not going to enforce them? This goes with #2 part of the ways. I'm not even sure if we have a set of rules yet. After 3 months, this site should have a good set of rules that people enforce. Seriously, I am not sure if I want to stay here or not. I might make that decision depending on what happens in this topic or by the end of the month. Edited by Jake Yukuma, Apr 9 2008, 04:00 PM.

A bit melodramatic, no? I highly doubt that you'll be banned for something like this. >_> |

We have rules!?! >_> Yeah, I agree... I don't know why my topic got sent to some forum where no one could post improvements on it anymore, or if they were fine, why they weren't just copypasta'd into some shiny looking topic and stickied in the Announcements forum. The end result of that topic wasn't just "lol, get Billie to test out her keyboard" it was to... actually set up and develop rules. >_> Edited by Billie Hatcher, Apr 9 2008, 06:23 PM.

It's been repeating throughout RP boards history that if you don't like something, give up, rebel, or just leave. Nobody is forcing you to stay. Sure, we might be needing members, but honestly, if you really dislike this place that much, just go. Complaining about it in places like this tend to end up with 5-6 pages concluding with that this topic was meant to be a joke. ._. |

The council was created to help with a few of the problems mentioned. I can't speak for others but I just havn't had time to do the job I feel should be done. Now thats mainly because school has been taking up a large amount of my time. I have more to say but I don't have the time to do so tonight. |

Name off a few. We let a few flames go by, but we intervene when it gets out of hand. Also, for part one. Wtf? Make games? I assume you are talking about me. I do have a life. If people are waiting on me to do something for them, they should use common sense and tell me. Otherwise, a month later they'll get pissed like you are and I'll be like, wtf mate? |

As for your character, vernon. I was going to accept it, but I need to know what Im accepting. I asked you a question a while ago about it and you never answered, so thats partially your fault. |

Luthein, you can be let go a little since you did make a topic about exams which can be very stressful. Kabuto, thats part of your job as an admin. If you feel like somebody didn't see something important, then reveal it to them via. PM or IM. Takuya, STFU. This is called "Forum Feedback." That means that topics like this are accepted and was made to see how people feel how the site is going. |

*Also has a topic about being inactive* So, umm.... Kabuto, you get blame. >_> But yeah, I'm pretty sure that YOU'VE been involved in a number of those "flame wars", Jake. I mean, not just someone who occasionally posts, but I'm pretty sure that I've seen you right at the center of things. If I'm wrong, please, by all means correct me, I'm just going by what I remember. However, if you're going to complain about things when you, yourself, are the cause of such things, you shouldn't complain. It's unbecoming, and it's pretty annoying. According to your rules, you, Takuya, and others would all have been banned some time ago. You tell me, would you rather we be strict admins, and hand out the bans that should have been handed out some time ago to you, Takuya, Rebecca, and others? Or would you rather we be more "authoritative" administrators, and watch over you guys, and issue verbal warnings, which we do quite often, when things get out of control. From what I understand of what you're saying, you want us to be dictorial, and are claiming that we're uncaring. However, that is simply not the case. We trust our members to be able to make decisions for themselves, and be able to stop themselves when things go to far. If they don't, we always stop them ourselves, we just try and let everyone figure things out for themselves before stepping in. That way you, the members, can learn things for yourself, and can actually learn to stop problems yourself, rather than just handing out punishment after punishment. Your concern about us "not doing our jobs" is the only point that I can really see as "valid", and I have to apologize to you for not approving your profile as early as I could have. I did not realize that it had not been approved yet, as I noticed it had been there for some time before I had logged back on, and assumed that it had already been approved. That is my fault. However, is it not your job as a member to inform me or others of your inquiry BEFORE you wait two weeks for something as basic as an approved profile? It seems to me that you are at fault for not reporting it to Kabuto, Luthien, or myself earlier, yet you wish to blame us because you chose to sit there without informing anyone. Don't get me wrong, I take full responsibility for not checking it, but from what I've seen, that is the only time that this has occurred. Perhaps some profiles have taken longer to approve, but from what I understand, if they ask Kabuto, Luthien, or myself over AIM or MSN, it is normally done within moments. I apologize for your grievances, but I think that this could have been solved much more civilly than the path that you chose. |

Yeah, with you not being as active and Luthein on a short hiatus, there should at least be another admin who has been loyal to this site and very active like Billie. And yes, I know I have been in flame wars and I live by the creed "I get what I deserve." However, verbal warnings aren't really doing they best they could. Perhaps a slight harsher punishment like a short suspension for a 2nd offense and a longer one for the 3rd. Then if they do it again, ban for either a couple of months or permanent depending on how they acted. As for the 2nd thing about being dictoral, maybe you should institute a little of that for the people who have shown to be troublemakers. Others who are just here to make friends and have fun should be left to do as we do now. Its just those few who are beginning to suck the fun out of the site. I can see where you go on the 3rd part and I apologize. I never thought of PMs and the two admins I have on AIM are Kabuto who is usually idle and Luthein who I always forget is an admin. Anyway, I understand I came on a little strong with my intro but I was getting a little annoyed and wanted to bring it up before I lashed out at anyone. |
