Naruko raised her head up, looking towards the sky. Only a moment after closing her eyes, she lowered her head at double the speed, sighing. Raising that brunette head of hers once more, she faced Douken. It wasn't necessarily a frown, but it wasn't near the smiling end, either. She knew, thinking ahead, that another simple rematch wouldn't work. ".... ...." Suddenly, with energy from out of nowhere, Naruko smiled with a toothy grin. "Y'got me!" She chuckled a little. "That was total annihilation, there! What do I have to do to stop you, anyway!?" Said in a way to imply that she wasn't really asking, but commenting. Her amused demeanor relaxed. Hands on her hips, she stood fairly straight, as if to lecture him. "Seriously, you aren't bad at all. ...Of course, you were ready for my deck... but look who's talking..." Naruko grinned, knowing that Douken had seen her preparing for him, too. Though, between them, it was probably expected from both sides. "Sebek Greens really are wild cards.... That's pretty cool." She smiled at him, unaware of... much. |

He let off a small chuckle scratching the back of his head. "About that... You see, before I got back to the hotel after our first duel, Miss Kim came to me and congratulated me on a promotion to Osiris Red... though she did add if I took the time to study, she would of placed me in Ra Yellow," he laughed. "Either way, I jsut follow a concept my brother taught me. 'Relax and enjoy the duel.'" After cleaning off the cards from his duel disk, placing the deck back in the case, and retreating the disk, he walked over and took a seat on the bench behind her, leaving room her her. "My brother was actually the one who taught me most of the game. He is also the one who paid for me to join CWA, and told the Headmaster to place me in Sebek Green for a better learning experience. It was his way of telling me, 'I taught you the basics. Now lets see what you learn now, and see if you can teach me something.'" He chuckled at that idea. "Oh, sorry about rambling off there..." |

As the words 'my brother was actually' left Douken's lips, his voice, as far as Naruko was concerned, trailer off. He continued to speak, but it was as if the volume was all the way down. "You're... kidding me.... ...He... got promoted...? ...And right after our first duel...!? ...That's too much~...!" By this time, Douken had finished speaking. ...But Naruko was... still in her own world. "U-ugh~~~. ~~~. ~~~. ~~~. ~~~.[...]" All the while, her lazed, annoyed eyes stared blankly toward Douken. One brow twitched every once in a while, while her open mouth's lower lip was poised, giving off some sort of street punk look. To the brunette, it was like... Douken's 'bad luck' energy was being transferred to her without his knowledge, despite the purple aura engulfing her. ...Wait, that's her own negative aura. But of course, it isn't really there, nor would it have been visible. They were illusions that were self-created. ...She was still totally out of it as she continued to stare his way. |

He stared at Naruko as she stared blankly at him. "Yoohoo..." he said, getting up in front of Naruko and snapped his fingers in front of her face. "Hello.. Earth to Naruko. Anyone home?" He even gave a light pinch on the arm, just in case the snapping didn't work. |

Fortunately, bringing his fingers up and snapping them was enough for Naruko to notice the slight change in front of her. Flinching, she blinked, staring at the fingers before her. "...? ...!! A--! Sorry! Just kinda~ zoned out for a bit," ...obviously.... "...Uh~ anyway, yeah, I gotta get going:" The brunette Obelisk began to walk past Douken; a mild sense of urgency was notable. "I told some friends I'd catch up with them in a couple of hours, so~..." she looked back, "I'll catch ya later, 'kay?" |

"Kay," he said, waving back. "I guess i will see you back at the hotel, or school, or whenever..." he replied watching her head off, then took back in the direction of the bus. |
