Well the randomly selected thing sounds good, but if I could just stick my two cents in... hold on, first I need to check soemthiing... >looks left, then right<. Okay, noone's fangs are around my pretty little neck, so I assume I won't get my head bitten off. I agree with the randomized question pool thing, but I think each exam should have a deck building portion. Y'know, make a deck out of the following types, and use it in a duel segment, etc. However, I also think that the decks have to be low tier, and that the decks they face shouldn't be meta. See, anyone can find a good CB deck, or Zombie deck, or whatever high-level deck in just a few minutes. The low tier decks - the ones I used in my question being a prime example, but not necessarily what should be used - are not only harder to find, but also more fun to play with, for most people. If you want help on this one, you'd be posting it on a forum, and you'd probably need to wait at least a day or so before getting enough responses to make a decent deck based on that type, assuming anyone responded at all. Long story short, I'm putting forth three suggestions: 1) That we have a deck-building portion in every exam, where the participant can pick between three or four different decks to use. 2) That the deck they build be used in the dueling portion of the exam 3) That the decks they are allowed to make have to be low tier. Another added bonus in low tier decks, is that they are not well known. The knowledge of the low tier cards and the ability to use and place them properly shows good strength as a duelist, whereas anyone can look up high level decks. Rounin, please don't take this to mean I find my choices in possible decks are better than yours. I simply think it may be a good idea to use deck-types that aren't as easy to find. Not showing up for me either =( The only problem with the dec building thing is it is the most opinionated of all questions apart from a "Create your own Ban List" question. I have yet to see 'professionals' agree with each other on card choices. But it is the best idea for deck building we have so far. |

I believe the conclusion we came to last night was random selection of questions, with questions from several topics. For example, a list of "Build-A-Deck" questions, a list of "Card Rulings" questions, a list of "Ban list" questions, etc etc. Then, tests would be given out with one question from each group, randomly. Unless I misinterpreted what we spoke about... |

Riiiiight... Well, aside from all of the "wanting to change the exam", I already took it... I'm just wondering, is it going to be graded still? Or will I have to take an entirely new one? I wouldn't really mind if you changed it, its just that I wouldn't want to have to take another one... |
