Well, in regards to the recent exam that's been put up, I know me & Billie think it's not a very good one. Didn't Kabuto ask for one that couldn't be netrep'd? Honestly, this exam is so easy to cheat on, it's just not funny. So here is an exam created by me & Billie. But that doesn't mean we made it completely. A question from Rina's & Sakaki's suggestions were taken and put into the exam, too! So, without further ado, here's a revamped exam!
So yeah. I've got Rina's questions, Sakaki's questions, & squishy's questions in the question pool. And for the main point of this topic, if you haven't figured it out, we'd (me & Billie) like to have this exam replace the current one that was just added because we think that it is possibly the easiest exam to cheat on, provided that netrep can do it for you, and that the exam above will actually be much more of a challenge. .. .. .. Well, post away! |

First. Will be edited later... Edit: In addition to Takuya's posts, I'd like to say two (or 3) more things. 1) The way the quiz currently is, there are only two ways to answer the question. Either it'll be right, or it'll be wrong. It'll either lead to far too many Blues and far too many Reds/Greens, which would be fine I assume, in stabilizing the RP, but then that makes the test entirely worthless as a gauge to show what rank you would truly belong in. The way the quiz formerly was, it relied too much on the opinions and thoughts of the proctor. If a proctor didn't like you, or you bugged the proctor, or just... something, he'd be able to flunk you, barring a second opinion. The test we suggest, it is (hopefully) a firmer middle ground. Relying a bit on wrong/right answers, and a bit on opinions 2) On the regard of the question pool, we'd like for members to continue submitting in questions. This way, a more customized test can be prepared for incoming students, as well as moving around questions just to help tone down a tad on cheating. Lastly, the answers to the exams should be PM-ed to a proctor, in my humble opinion. Edited by Billie Hatcher, Apr 13 2008, 01:06 PM.

Movin' on up!

Some of this I like some of it I don't like. I just finished grading meta's exam. From what I could tell two or three of the questions seemed a little easy. However the other questions in the exam seemed solid. (I like Rou's deck build portion over this one). I think what we should do is combine the best elements of the two exams together. |

I say add #2 to the exam. It is a new question that you don't see in other exams. |

I thought of that, but Rou's exam is almost completely made of those card ruling questions, which can be netrep'd. I want this exam to have none of that whatsoever. The Duel Puzzle is something that you can't really cheat on. The underrated card was always an opinion question. The deck building question could be netdeck'd, but let's not really assume that since a few of the options are decks that aren't really build often. And the ruling change is also an opinionated questions. I don't think one can really "cheat", per se, on this kind of exam. Also, we're kind of asking to choose between the two exams, not find a way to combine them... |

This topic is not meant to gather together questions to be used on the current Crimson Wind exam. This topic is meant to express our disdain for the current exam as well as provide a superior alternative that is meant to replace the current one. Verstehen Sie? Both of them are good. The one now has people to know that rulings of cards they may come in contact with while this one is more based on creative opinions. |

The current one is not good, as it does not judge on skill and talent, it's merely a yes/no true/false test, where the answers can VERY easily be looked up on. Google.com, yugioh.wikia.com, netrep.net Especially since there would be very little way in showing whether or not you cheated, especially since it's a yes/no test. The problem I have found with every exam people have done is this: All the DEFINITIVE questions can be googled/netreped/Ask a judgable. All the NONDEFINITIVE questions are all Opinion based. And people can cheat by looking at other exams. So here is MY idea: (Though it's not yet foolprove) First: A time limit. This gives them less time to be able to go through netrep, find the right rulings, then explain in their own words. Second: Make it private. This way people cannot cheat by looking at other exams. Third: MAKE THE QUESTIONS DIFFERENT ALL THE TIME. Have a set of about 20 questions, and choose 5-6 of them randomly for someone's quiz. That way you know you'll have a definitive difference in them all. I just got graded on that other test, and being graded on understanding is kinda stupid. I either Understand it, or I don't. You can't mark someone elses understanding of something. Those would be my ideas. Also when being graded, it should be given to someone who is completely impartial to you. Someone who doesn't know you. So I wouldn't give my exam to Rounin for example. Since he'd be to favourable to me. If someone here hated me, I wouldn't give it to them either. these are the sort of kinks you need to get it out. The exams need to be done annoymously. Also the third question in the one posted just above is STUPID for one reason. You don't know what you're going to draw. You're supposed to simulate an actual duel, and if you know what cards you're going to draw, that's called CHEATING most of the time. 3 cards I understand, but 5 is ridicious. And if need be: I'm willing to test out every single exam you guys make. Edited by Meta, Apr 13 2008, 01:46 PM.
