As I said before, I don't mind the base being around, if it's regulated or something. In my eyes, the base, itself, isn't hax, unless one makes it so. Because its details are undefined, the user is given/takes a blank cheque to do with the base as they please (not so much, anymore, though). Like, I could've had a character that used the base, and was simply there to monitor situations and collect data for something that has nothing to do with the base at all. So all I'd use would be these cameras that were mentioned, sometime earlier ...and maybe some equipment I somehow brought in. Reasons for finding the base / being there / usage-approval, aside, the base would be okay in that above case, I'd think. I think the notion of the base's auto-hax ability is being thrown out of proportion, here. And as Vandy mentioned earlier, if he can create a reason for its existance that appeases(sp?) the masses (or just the staff, collectively), and keeps its functions in check (to the degree permitted at the time), all should be fine.

And yeah, Vandy, go for the Staff Approval thing that Dani mentioned, as I'd like to hear what details you have planned.



Unlike the base, the door's use and purpose is a complete and utter mystery. Because it is shrouded in the unknown, and because the name gives it that sense of importance, people won't just go and plan to use it like they would with the secret base, as they would sense that it must have some greater purpose by the higher-ups who created it (or who they believe created it [in the case of newer members and the current staff]).

Will the door be used? Doesn't have to be, no, but, personally, I'd like to see something big happen with it much later down the road. Heck, I'm still working on trying to get a plot idea formed for it (once CWA's history reaches a satisfactory level, I can gather all that data to create some sort of logic for a plot... maybe. [Insider's note: this is part of the reason why I always seem to want to understand the RP reasons behind things, like that time involving the other academies, in the chat, and other RP things that I look for logical reasons behind])

I think Rou has a plan for it, but I'm still pretty much in the dark about it, so I'm waiting for that.

But as said, since the door sounds like a big deal, it won't likely be used until that specified time comes, and will never be used again, after that. The base, on the other hand, isn't anywhere near as... "special," and it's easier to access if abandoned. A detailed backstory and the need for usage approval would help, here.




So yeah. Long short, short, the only problems that I'm seeing with both the base and The Door, is the fact that:

1. we don't know much about either
2. it has been this way for a long time.
3. we need a way to limit unnecessary use. (despite everything, the door handles it well, so far)

If both were solved, this would have been dealt with a lot easier. They don't need to go; what they need is a public and/or private (for staff notes)backstory, first off. That, in itself, will dictate the frequency and level of their use, I believe.

Of course, yeah, at some point, the base will meet its end, RP-wise, but I wanna hear what Vandy plan for it is (the whole big plot, not just the uses for the base).
