Miss Wilhelmina April May etc etc was sitting about, not being particularly useful hanging around the lounge area of the hotel lobby. Moments prior, due to derailed plans of catching a romantic flick with her current love interest, Dante Laxina, she sent the boy a message telling him he was free to do as he pleased. Because of this, she currently had nothing to do. I mean, sure she COULD have organized some other fun things with Dante, however it wouldn't have been 'perfect', as she imagined her confession of love to be. So she sat about, awkwardly slumped over in her leather seat that was begging to hurt her perfectly formed tush. Every once in a while, she listlessly shift herself back to a more... ladylike position, to keep herself from falling, and more importantly to prevent anyone from looking up her white skirt and catching a peek at anything. Ultimately though, as the hands on the clock ticked on and on, she found herself in a more and more disheveled position, until she would once again regroup herself and the cycle would repeat. She sighed audibly, eyes fixated to a random spot on the wall across from her that wasn't much different from any other spot on the wall, other then the fact that she had picked it to stare at. After long periods of time, the pastel blues began to fade and blur, turning into a grayer and more... fuzzy image, until she blinked and the wall would fix itself. She sighed once more. "For a rainy day, there sure aren't that many people around." she muttered, still unaware of the current situation her former... or... current... roommate was in. |

Alistair stepped through the sliding glass doors, with an annoyed half-frown on his face, shaking his hair free of the droplets of rain that had begun to fall. The sky behind him that was visible through the doors was darker than before, almost black now. Behind him, showering down on the Earth from high above were the droplets that had resoaked his hair, spraying the ground before rising in billions of miniature geysers. He pulled at the strap of his pack, adjusting it so that it sat closer to his neck on his shoulder, alleviating some of the pressure from the spot that it had rested on for so long. It wasn't actually uncomfortable to him, however it had begun to become noticeable, and Alistair figured it better to nip the problem in the bud. Alistair pressed forward on the tile floors, his tennis shoes squeaking as they shuffled across the floor. In his wake were small bits of extra water that had happened to spill free of his clothes, forming small puddles in the entrance walk way with each step. He walked roughly half way into the lobby before pausing, and remembering that he had no where that he really had no one to meet up with today. He rolled his eyes bored, and discontentedly as he recalled that his roommate for the trip, some boring Sebek, was away with some other friends for the day. Alistair had already had a fill of fun for the day, however, he still hungered for more; hoping that he could potentially find something interesting to do. He wasn't entirely sure if there would be anyone around though, despite the rain. He glanced around the lobby with a sigh of annoyance before he spotted someone he might be able to have some fun with. At first glance, it appeared as if it were a white haired woman sitting across the lobby from Alistair, sunken into the cushy leather of a random chair. However, upon closer investigation, it appeared she actually had a bit more masculine a structure than feminine; and since all of the girls at the academy were older, and had gone through puberty already, it made it incredibly unlikely that they were a woman. Despite these facts, Alistair could not help but tilt his head, and cast a look of befuddlement on the man, who was clearly wearing a skirt. His hair also appeared to be a bit longer, and his face seemed slightly more feminine than it did masculine, though perhaps the boy was just a late bloomer. Alistair concluded without a doubt that the person must just be some strange, cross dressing boy. While Alistair was typically one to avoid such people, he concluded that for some reason this guy might be a bit more interesting. Perhaps it was that the rest of the lobby was completely deserted, or maybe it was just that he was extremely bored, and had nothing better to do. Regardless, Alistair decided that he would approach the person, deciding that regardless, he would try to have some fun with the person. He walked across the lobby at a slightly more accelerated pace, now that he knew where he was going. About midway through the tile lobby, the floor changed to carpet, and Alistair reached some sort of waiting area. He did not pause until he reached the chair the person was sitting at, and he quietly pulled another nearby chair a bit closer to him. "Hey there! What's going on, man? I'm Alistair, and it looks like we're the only people who actually stayed in on such a horrific day, eh?" he said with a friendly smile. He slid his pack off his shoulder, and dropped it beside the chair before extending his hand outward to the young man. His fingers were lightly separated, and bent inwards, offering a polite handshake. |

As if to shake up the monotony of it all, a handsome young gentleman seemed to show up, interrupting her blurred line of sight at the wall. She blinked twice, noting the polite handshake, before realizing he was introducing himself. "Oh... uhh..." a high pitched noise escaped the young Obelisk female. She extended her right hand, only to note the Obelisk blue umbrella, or more specifically, the wrist strap. As she moved her hand, the blue collapsable rain gear swayed and moved, dripping small drops of water that it still hadn't quite dried off yet. She hastily pulled back her right back to where it stood before, dangling precariously off the sides of the arm rests. Her left would have to respond to the handshake. Yeah you know, her left. A ridiculously awkward movement for either of them, not just because one of them had to rotate their wrists 90 degrees in order to make it work, but also because of the rather large half-table called a duel disk currently attached to her left. "Just call me Billie." she responded. "Billie Hatcher." But between the Obelisk Blue umbrella and the Academy Cyclone Duel Disk, it wasn't difficult to tell she was also a fellow student on the trip, not just a random guest or citizen of the city. "And yeah, it's really pouring now..." she turned her attention the sliding glass door, seeing it incredibly dark, but still relatively unable to hear the sounds of rain drops as it was still quite a ways away. "Me and my..." she couldn't say boyfriend, that might be jinxing it! "friend, had a plan to go to the movies but we couldn't go, so now I've just got [5] hours with nothing to do..." |

With a grin, Alistair watched as his new friend tried to situate himself into a position to better acquaint himself with Alistair. He chuckled slightly as he saw the pendulum like umbrella swinging beneath his arm, as well as the duel disk that was situated on the other arm. With a grin, he flipped his arm around so that he could more easily shake the young man's hand. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you Billy," he said with a quick but tight grip, and a small shake of his hand. He hadn't really noticed the things around his arms when he had approached the boy, but rather had judged based on his age that he was a student. Now, these things clearly gave away the boy's student or pedestrian standing. Furthermore, his umbrella bore the insignia of Obelisk blue, indicating that they were dorm mates. He yawned from the boredom, and sat down in the chair he had pulled up. It was much like the chair that Billy had chosen to sit in; comfortable black leather, shining slightly from the abundant light from above, and a bit wider than need be for him to fit in on his own. He glanced over to his pack, and lifted it from the side of the chair facing the open alley, and tossed it to his other side. "It is kinda wet, isn't it? I mean, I know that the weather was calling for rain today, but it was so nice today that I kind of thought that it was gonna just be a mistake. Looks like they were right though," he said, his face concealing a bit of shock. He looked at Billy calmly, a friendly demeanor resting on his face. However, as his eyes remained locked on his face, he couldn't help but feel a bit startled. He had kind of let go the squeaky voice from before, maybe as being startled, but the more and more Billy spoke, the more and more feminine he sounded. He also noticed the utter lack of facial hair, and the underdeveloped muscle structure he had. It was a bit surprising to Alistair that someone like that would honestly be here, since they were essentially a high school, but then, maybe the boy was just a bit of a late bloomer, or was younger than he appeared to be. "So Billy, why couldn't you go with your friend? I mean, it's not too late, and the rain only started recently. Why couldn't you and your friend do something else together? After all, why would they leave you alone for five hours?" he asked with yet another tilt of his head, and an arc of his brow. "Eh, all the same! So, who're you Billy? Why haven't I seen you around the blue dorm? You just transfer or something?" he asked pleasantly. He thought back on the entire time he had been at Crimson Wind, and never once had he seen this boy. He had met nearly everyone else in the blue dorm, so this stuck out as a bit off to him, but he was sure that there must be a good explanation. Edited by Rounin Nagasaki, Jul 25 2009, 04:06 AM.

"Well..." she crossed her legs in a ladylike fashion. "It's a 3 hours manatee.." the word she was looking for there was 'matinée'. "And I usually take a while, just looking at the popcorn machines before I make Dante buy me one..." she had a dreamy look in her eyes, before snapping back into reality. "And the show already started, so we'd have to wait 2 hours for the 5 o'clock showing , and then it gets pretty late, and we'd need to call ahead for more people to pick us up because..." a paranoid stare in her eye as she looked about before whispering "there are some pretty bad people in this city." She cleared her throat, as if ready to speak some more, before realizing that Alistair too had something to say. He questioned as to why he had never seen her before, Billie presumed he meant to in the cafeterias. "Well, I don't really spend too much time in the dorms." Her thoughts shifted to Aoi, the insurfferable little girl with whom she was forced to bunk with. "My roommates kind of annoying, so I perfer to only go to the dorms when I need to sleep, need to eat, or need a new change of clothes." She smiled cutely. "And you? How come you're not outside having fun?" A loud tremulous blast of lightning shot out, before the rain intensified, pretty much answering her question. "Oh yeah..." she muttered. "This hotel's boring anyway. I've been sitting here for like..." she looked up at the clock. "only twenty... eight minutes!?" she whined, before groaning loudly. |

(Billie OOC: Err, conversations always seemed awkward to handle on the board. Some person asks a million questions, they get a million answers that don't quite flow well in return... it's all just a little annoying. So, for the sake of this, I guess I'll just edit in Billie's responses to what he says, as he says them, hopefully no more eerie questions are raised, and that'll be the end of the conversation for the most part and Billie and Alistair can get down to business. To defeat! The Huns! Did they send me daughters!? When I asked! For sons!? You're the saddest bunch I've ver met! But you can bet! before we're through! Mister I'll... make a man! Out of you! ... What was I talking about?) --- Alistair raised a brow as he saw Billy cross his legs. Combined with the skirt, and the other feminine features of the boy, he would typically think that it was just a girl. However, for some reason, Alistair couldn't quite see the person as a girl. For a boy, he was extremely feminine, and perhaps even attractive, but it just didn't seem to make sense. That was when the simple thought struck Alistair. Billy was a gay guy! That was the only answer that explained everything for him, since this was obviously a boy and not a girl. The light bulb inside his head went off right then, and Alistair felt infinitely more comfortable. He wasn't a homophobe, so he would have no problems talking to Billy, no matter what his sexual preferences were! Hell, maybe it would even be fun to talk to him!
"Ah, so... Is this Dante your boyfriend? I mean, if you're going to the movies together, and making him buy you things... That means that he's.... I mean, right?" he asked with a bit of an embarrassed smile as he struggled to find the words he was searching for. He couldn't be sure, but wasn't the person in a gay relationship the one who bought the things, and things like that? Besides, if anything contributed more evidence to Billy being the woman in the relationship, it was that he was clearly wearing a skirt!
He listened to the clamor created by the lightning, and the thunder outside; the booming of the thunder, and the the cracking of the lightning, like whips in the sky above. He grinned as he leaned back in his chair, the cushy backing of it sinking in behind him as he listened to Billy keep talking. Clearly there was more to the guy than he was understanding as well, since he was staring at popcorn machines. "So uh, Billy. I don't mean to sound offensive right here, but... Why is it that you stare at popcorn machines? I mean, there's really nothing special about them, is there?" he asked, an inquisitive look plastered on his face, from his puzzled eyes, to the discontented half frown on his face. He wasn't sure what it was about this kid, but they seemed off in some senses, at least to him.
He listened to him talk about how his roommate was annoying, and Alistair couldn't help but smile. He knew a thing or two about annoying roommates, what with his current boring, roommate, so unwilling to go and have fun and do things! However with that thought, Alistair was sure that the roommate probably thought something similar, what with having a to room with a gay person. "As for why I'm not out having fun, well," he started to say before another crack whipped across the sky, and another boom came about that felt as if it should rattle the very foundation of the building. "Well, lets just say that it doesn't look to be the safest weather for hanging out outside, don't you agree?" he asked with a quick grin, and a glance toward the glass doors. It appeared as if the rain were pelting the ground much more often now, the wind blowing it with much more force, and causing the droplets to fall at angles.
Then he groaned about how long he had been sitting around, since he and his boyfriend weren't together. He chuckled as he saw the frustration, and realized that Billy had probably assumed that he had been waiting quite a bit longer than he actually had. It wasn't that big a surprise to Alistair though, as he grinned at the utter overreaction to the situation. "Anyway, I've already had my fun for the day. I got in some laughs at Swebb's expense, and I got a couple pictures for some laughs later," he said with a mischievous grin. Edited by Billie Hatcher, Jul 25 2009, 06:00 PM.

She raised a brow. "It's not nice to get laughs at the professors. After all, they're just looking out for what's best for us..." she said quietly, her fingers awwkardly touching her, as she forgot for a second her umbrella was leaking before she finally un-strapped it from her hand and just let it dry on the carpet near her leather chair. "Anyway, I haven't had much fun today..." a weird thought entered her mind, before quickly fading. She finally spoke up. "Wanna hang out with me for a while then?" A cute smile warming her face, and a hopeful glint in her red tinted eyes. |

"Eh, maybe it's not, but this time was an exception. I mean, I know that Swebb is probably the teacher who is trying to get us furthest in life, especially in compare to Byakuya and Harima, but still, she's also the one who made the bit the most fun," he said with a charming smile, reminiscing about the situation. He had obviously made the situation extremely awkward for Swebb, but it was all in good fun.
The request caught him a bit off guard, since he wasn't particularly used to being asked to hang out, or things like that. Not since he had left home for Solar Dusk that bit ago, and he had essentially been forgotten about by his friends. He thought about the question for a moment, trying to remember if there was anything in particular that he had to do. As his eyes traced Billy's face, he noticed the emotions running through his eyes, as well as the smile that crossed his face. Alistair couldn't help but be charmed by the warming smile, and the surprising red eyes. He smiled back at him, and nodded politely. He decided that there was nothing more that he would rather do than spend the day with his new friend-in-the-making. What better way to spend it than making a new friend, after all? "Yeah, sure I'll spend the day with you! Long as you promise not to start hitting on me," he said with a dismissive laugh. He had determined that Billy was very likely gay, and while Alistair didn't have a problem with that, he didn't like the chance of such an awkward situation like that. Of course, he didn't really think that Billy would do such a thing, since ha already had a boyfriend, but still. "Was there anything in particular that you wanted to do?" he asked politely as he remembered his bag. He grabbed the strap of his bag, the odd, bumpy texture sinking into the gel-like material beneath it, and pulled it into his lap. He glanced at the bag, and remembered the contents of the inside of the bag, and considered pulling out his camera to show the boy what he had seen from Swebb, but decided against it. After all, no reason to gross him out with things only straight men would find appealing. Edited by Billie Hatcher, Jul 25 2009, 07:12 PM.

She paused, an odd look in her eyes and a raised eyebrow at his request. "I'll be sure to keep my eye on that." she muttered quickly and quite sarcastically. After all, girls weren't supposed to hit on boys! It was the other way around! "Well... I was kind of looking forward to some popcorn to eat, but I guess right about now just about anything would sound good..." She awkward reached for her umbrella whilst still sitting, before standing up perfectly straight. "I could probably go for something to eat right about now." She said with a weak smile. |

Alistair tilted his head to the side slightly, a bit confused as to the sarcasm in his voice. Then he remembered that he was likely the woman in the relationship with his boyfriend, and that women were the ones who were typically flirted with, hit on, and etc. Maybe he was a bit offended that Alistair had mistaken him for the forward type. He watched Billy stand up, his posture completely erect as he grabbed his umbrella. However, something struck Alistair as off as he looked up at him standing there. yet another piece of information that Alistair had overlooked; he appeared to be extremely short. He couldn't be sure if that was just genetics, or if it was because the gay boy hadn't gone through puberty yet, or what, but it caught Alistair a bit off guard. He grinned, adjusting the bag on his lap as he listened to Billy speak. It appeared that his boyfriend hadn't taken him to eat before the movie, and that he hadn't eaten. Truth be known, Alistair was a bit hungry himself, as he had not eaten anything yet. The grumbling of his stomach was only loud enough to be noticed by him; or at least, so he thought, until his stomach gave a discontented growl, as if demanding that they go through with Billy's desire. He laughed light heatedly before bracing his right hand against the cushy arm of the chair in which he sat. He then pushed off, his hand burying itself in the cushion that the arm provided before hitting the backbone of the arm, and allowing him to propel himself into a standing position. His back did not straighten as he rose though, and instead, he formed an almost half circle before his back straightened itself out, and he was left standing. Alistair furrowed his brow in concentration as he tried looked down. His eyes focused on his left hand, where the strap to his pack still rested. Despite the weight of the bag and the lack of support, his arm remained bent, and did not yield to the weight. He stood there for a moment, thinking about where there was to go in the city for food. "Well, where do you wanna go? I mean, I think there's some kind of cafeteria or something here, but I dunno how good that'd be. Or, we can risk the weather, and head over to the food court, or the cafe. I'm pretty sure there might also be a couple of other places, but none come to mind, and I don't know how to get to them. Where do you want to go?" His emerald green eyes glanced into Billy's startlingly red eyes, and Alistair couldn't help but be surprised again. He bit the inside of his cheek, deciding that he may as well ask what was on his mind. He laughed a bit awkwardly for a moment, but only did so to ease any potential embarrassment for Billy. "Oh, and Billy, I don't mean to sound rude but... What's with your eyes? I've never seen anyone with an eye color quite that red before. Do you wear contacts, or is it natural?" he asked with a tilt of his head, and another shy laugh. |
