Jake knew he was in danger from losing if he did not do something fast. He drew his card and hoped for a miracle. He looked at the card and began to get frustrated. Oy, this is not going well. I must end and leave me to be at your mercy. |

The vicious cycle continued with Rina's turn. After drawing a card, she paid 100 of her life points to keep Messenger of Peace intact. Then her Wave-Motion Cannon powered up for the first time.
The entertained redhead revealed her Stealth Bird once more to inflict another 1000 points of damage to Jake before returning it face-down again, ending her turn as well.
Jake drew his next card. To his dismay, it was not one that would improve his situation. Ending his turn, he sent a Plague Wolf from his hand to the graveyard, holding to the 6-card hand size limit. Rina's turn commenced, continuing with the cycle.
However, "I'll now use the effect of Wave-Motion Cannon!" Not wanting to left the cannon to chance, next turn, she sent the card to the graveyard, though the cannon didn't vanish. Instead, the energy funneled its way to the mouth of the cannon, creating a large orb of green energy before firing directly at the Osiris student. "Its power was boosted twice, so it inflicts 2000 damage," she said as the blast struck him.
She ended her turn, wondering if the boy would mount a comeback offense, but it was not to be, as the drawn card was of no use. Seven cards in hand, he discarded one of them, ending his turn. Rina couldn't help being a little disappointed. Once her strategy was locked in, nothing was done to challenge it. After glancing at her drawn card, Scapegoat, a favorite of hers, but another unneeded addition to her hand, she sighed. She wished that she could have had a use for it in this duel, but it seemed that she'd have to wait until next time. The hazy blue-eyed girl decided to end the game that seemed to have been won many a turn ago. She looked at the boy, who appeared to want the duel to end, as well. Despite that, instinct, or maybe habit, caused her to pay the maintenance fee for her continuous spell card, just in case, as she had the points to spare.
"I flip summon Stealth Bird to attack mode and trigger its effect!" She watched with a straight face as the winged beast decimated the last of her opponent's life points.
As the holograms faded, Rina approached Jake with something in mind. She stopped before him, staring into his eyes upon looking up at her, eventually. "Do you remember the question I asked you earlier?"
".... To be honest, I had expectations of you. Not in terms of your direct skill as a duelist. How skillful you are doesn't concern me. I was expecting more... in your ability to give me an entertaining duel," she smiled, nonetheless, with her nonchalant speech, unbecoming of her. It wasn't the type of thing she'd normally say. Maybe she'd think it, but not say it, that's a definite for anybody who knew her. "It was entertaining, at first, ...but you, too, were unable to get through my defenses. I was kind of disappointed.... ...." She sighed. Her idea of being entertained was to be involved in either an even battle, or a difficult duel. A duel where she could put her mental energies to the test. "Oh well. It's not your fault, anyway. I just need to find someone who can give me a run for my money. ...Do you know of anyone?" she asked bluntly. |

Hmm, well I do know of a guy who is always looking to duel somebody. But he is in the Ra Yello dorm as well. Other than that, I don't know, sorry. Well, I must be off now. There has to be somebody around here that I can beat. Goodbye for now Rina until our paths may cross again. Jake said as he turned away and left the marketplace. ((TO: Unknown)) |

"Mm. Alright! I'll see you later, then!" She politely waved goodbye as Jake continued on his way. As for the blue-eyed redhead, she also had nowhere specific to be. "...Hm." Realizing that she was in the shopping district, she considered browsing in one of the shops that she hadn't entered yet. The feeling in her stomach reminded her of food. The ice cream shoppe came to mind. But she already bought ice cream from there, today, didn't she? ...Yes, she did. Then it hit her, figuratively. She remembered dropping the ice cream and crashing to the floor. "That's right...! I must've left a large mess because of that. I hope Kiseiko isn't upset...." Kana stopped to catch her breath. It was. . .someone else? A student? She gulped and walked up. (EDIT: I'm the last one here. . .) . . .but didn't have a chance to talk to whoever it was.
