Rina exited the main building of the academy. She looked up at the morning sky, as bright and clear as usual. ...But while the sky was 'as usual,' something else was not....
Rina sighed. She didn't really know what to make of it. If what Lawrence had said was true, how would she handle the situation? "...Serpent girl... huh...." Her eyes softened, out of the sun's direct light. .... ...She lightly groaned as she continued on her way towards... her... room...? .... ...Being honest with herself, she really didn't want to 'rest up,' at all. One could say that she wasn't in the mood for it, anymore. With everything that happened, she'd rather walk around for a while to gather her thoughts and secure them firmly in her mind. "...Billie.... ...You're not really a 'serpent girl...,' are you...?" Her journeying led her towards the shopping district, but to nowhere in particular. The shopping district: where many desired items can be found. ...She had been here more than an hour ago, so she had nothing more to fawn over. ...So then, why was Rina here? She merely followed the path that was before her. .... The sky was beautiful, today. The right shade of blue captured her eyes as she strolled along through the street. |

After the incident in the card shop, Jake was a little mad over what had happened. He decided to go to the South part of the school and see if anything was happening. He was surprised to see a large shopping district that was deserted it looked like. From saving the money on his cards, he decided to look around and possibly buy something. As he approached, he noticed that he was not alone. He noticed a Ra yellow female looking around as well. Jake decided to be kind and possibly have another duel. He quickly walked up and got beside the girl. Hello there, how are you today? Jake said trying to be nice to the young female. |

"Hm--?" Snapped out of her daydreaming, Rina turned to the individual who brought her back to Earth. She remembered him from class, but couldn't quite put a name to the face. Nonetheless, she replied to his greeting with a kind smile. "Oh. Hello," Rina began with a slightly raised hand. "I'm alright; feeling pretty good. I'm just... well, ...I guess you could call it 'sky-gazing'." The redhead chuckled lightly before extending her hand in greeting. "My name's Rina; Rina Kasakura. ...And what would yours be?" (OOC: Sure thing.) IC: The redhead's eyes widened briefly as she blinked. She then smiled again. "Straight-forward, aren't you." "Alright, then." Rina put down her backpack and attached her duel disk to her left arm. "I had wanted to duel before today's first class." She reached for her deck within its holster and gently inserted it into the deck zone, triggering the activation censors inside of it. The device changed from standby to battle mode. "Hmhm. Just be sure not to go easy on me, alright? I'll definitely be giving you my best effort," she said, still with the compassionate smile on her face. |

Jake took his duel disk and equipped it to his arm. He slipped his modified deck into it and got into position. I shall begin. he said as he drew his opening hand. Well, this is going to begin like most of mine do. I set a monster in defense mode and sadly, have to end it there. Jake said as a card materialized on the ground. "Hm~. Alright then. I suppose I'll draw." With her starting five cards already in hand, Rina calmly picked up the topmost card of her deck to begin her turn. Looking over her hand of 6 cards, a strategy formed in no time at all. And like all of Rina's strategies, there was an element of surprise with each passing turn. "Well, I'll let a monster rest in defense mode for now. Then..." she selected 2 cards in her hand and inserted them into their respective Spell and Trap Card Zones. "I'll set down 2 cards as support." Their holograms appeared behind the face-down monster. "I'll end my turn, now." |

Jake has a dark feeling that those two cards would play a role in the game later on. For now, he drew his card and tried to form a strategy. I will let my own spell or trap rest on the field as I now summon Regenerating Mummy. As Jake let a f/d appear on the field, as a mummy appeared to the left of it. Now my Mummy, let loose your attack on Rina's facedown.! Jake yelled as the Mummy went to strike the monster. It flipped to reveal itself as Ancient Lamp. Rina then used its effect to redirect Mummy's attack back to Jake's facedown. It was revealed as Fear from the Dark and was destroyed. Jake had a small glare as he ended his turn. |

"Phew," Rina exhaled calmly. Surprise #1 was, apparently, her Ancient Lamp. "So far, so good," she uttered before drawing her card. "Now...." She looked at it and added the card to her hand, ejecting a different card from it. "This turn will be short as well." She placed a face-down card onto one of the monster zones in a horizontal position. "Another monster in defense mode...!" she announce with some energy as the hologram emerged. "I wonder if he'll handle himself, this turn..." she thought, smiling, chuckling to herself. "It's your move," she said with a soothing smile. Edited by Rina Kasakura, Apr 12 2008, 11:48 PM.
