The wind whipped at his hair, sending it dancing about. His hair wasn't too terribly long, however it was long enough that the wind swiping at it send it dancing about around his head. The wind also pushed at his face, however he kept the muscles in his face frozen, other than to grin at the speed. The wind speed would've been enough to force the wind tunnel effect to his face, had the muscles been lax.

The roar of the engine on the road was nearly all he could hear. The sound of it as he revved the accelerator before releasing it, pulling in the clutch, and popping his foot up under the shifter was a deafening roar on the road. He glanced down to the speedometer, and saw that their speed was right around sixty miles per hour, and he was only in fourth gear now.

They were on the highway now, and the speed limit was right around seventy. Rou knew that there were six exists or so before the theater, and since they were spaced about a mile or so apart, that mean they had about six minutes or so of driving before they would be at the theater. Rou grinned, and turned the accelerator again.

There were cars around them now, however they were not going as fast as Rou was, despite him having not even broken the speed limit yet. He tightened his grip on the accelerator, and then they were rocketing forward even faster, hitting seventy miles an hour. Around them, the cars were a blur, masses of color that appeared to be sitting still in compare.

Every time a car appeared to be in their way, Rou leaned to the side, and the motorcycle shifted into another lane, or even in between lanes at times. The road beneath them was tearing away beneath them, and the masses of scenery on either side of them appeared to be nothing more than blurs of gray, red, and silver.

After a couple of minutes, Rou downshifted the motorcycle into third gear as he merged over into the farthest right lane. When he did so, almost immediately, they pulled off of an exit, and onto a more crowded road. Rou kept a healthy pace, despite the congestion of the area, weaving in and out of cars and lanes, until a towering structure sat ahead of them.

Rou wove into the far right lane once again, and pulled into the parking lot for the movie theater. He drove the bike until they were near the front of the parking lot. It appeared as if the theater wasn't too overly crowded today, which surprised Rou a bit, due to the anticipated rain. It seemed to him that today was a perfect day for a movie.

He glanced around on either side, searching for a spot, his feet resting on the pavement beneath, holding the bike steady. His fingers squeezed in the clutch, keeping the bike in a neutral position. The engine continued to grumble beneath them, and the bike bounced lightly from where the engine still churned.

Finally, he happened to notice an empty spot near the very front of the lot, and he quickly popped the clutch, his hand resting where he knew the friction zone would be, and revved the engine lightly, working his way forward more slowly than before. He rode forward, and into the parking spot before turning off the bike.

With a quick motion of his hand into his jacket pocket, he pulled out a small pedestal, which he tossed onto the ground beside the bike. He kicked it around with his foot a bit, until he was satisfied with the position of it, and then kicked the kickstand out. When he brought the bike to rest on it, the kickstand lay on the small pedestal he had placed on the ground.

He then stood, up, and swung his leg over the bike, bringing himself to a standing position next to the bike, before offering his hand to Dani. He smiled over to her, waiting for her to take his hand, and get off the motorcycle. He ran his other hand quickly through his hair, salvaging it to as close to normal as he could, and succeeding to some degree.

"So, did you enjoy the ride, Dani?" he asked, his smile broadening.

Danielle took his hand, and got off the motorcycle. She removed her helmet, smiled, and answered him.

"Yeah!"

She thought it would be best to give him this answer, and leave comments about how unsafe it was to be driving at unnecessarily high speeds without a helmet, while escorting a passenger, through the busy highway. It had honestly frightened her a little bit, but she was not going to admit it. She had enough self-control to give him a calm smile in spite of everything. In any case, they had both arrived at the theatre without incident. Danielle handed Rou the extra jacket and began walking toward the entrance.

"We're here! So... what kind of movie did you have in mind, anyway?"

She looked over her shoulder at him, still smiling.

He grinned happily, glad she had enjoyed the ride. He began to walk towards the doors of the theater, his tennis shoes thudding dully against the hard black top as he took his steps. However, he stopped before he had even walked past the motorcycle, and instead chose to turn his attention to it for a moment.

With a few quick movements, he undid the saddlebag on one side of the bike, and glanced inside of it. The inside of the hard black bag was empty, save a few scraps of paper at the bottom of the bag. With a quick motion, he slid his hand into the bag, organizing her jacket into a neat pile at the bottom of it. He then pulled off his own jacket, and slid it, along with the helmet she had worn into the confines of the bag.

He then began to walk toward the doors of the theater, Danielle not far ahead. A few sparse bits of sunshine shone through, forming small rays of light on the ground around them, but for the most part, there were only shadows littering the path before them. The clouds appeared to be rain clouds, and Rou began to consider that perhaps they would get rained on, and wondered if driving back in the rain would be the best idea.

He decided that he could likely navigate the wet roads well enough, as he had driven both dirt bikes, as well as an occasional motorcycle in the past. He may not have been the most experienced driver in the world, but he certainly knew his way around the bike, and he was aware of how to control the bike in different situations. He hoped very much that this wasn't solely overconfidence on his part, and that he wouldn't regret his choice.

He slid his hands into the pockets of his blue jeans, the right hand digging deep into the confines of the pocket, while the left hilted with his thumb resting on the fold to the outside of the pocket. With his right hand, he produced a simple, brown leather wallet, which he popped open, breaking the button seal that held it closed with a pop.

"Well, I dunno Dani. I guess it kinda depended on what you wanted to see. Any ideas?" he asked with a charming grin. He glanced down at his wallet, walking a few steps behind her as they continued. He looked down and saw his debit card, as well several twenty dollar bills within the confines of the center fold. Either way, he had a way to pay for the tickets, just in case they didn't take his card.

Danielle turned comletely around, walking backwards toward the ticket purchase area. She smiled mischeviously.

"Well, if it's really up to me, then I'd like to see something cool and exciting. You know, probably something with guns or something. Or... what I mean is, that I prefer like thriller-types of movies. Usually with spies and stuff like that, because the story is pretty good and exciting. Do you think they might have any movies like that here? But like really, anything is fine with me I guess."

Danelle turned around and continued walking toward the ticket area, her quick pace increasing the distance between the two. As she walked, her eyes were on the promotional posters of the recent films. Maybe one or two of them would catch her eye.

Rou grinned as he watched her walk backwards, facing him now. He smiled at her, and locked his eyes on her startling blue-green eyes, a smile of happiness replacing the grin that had originally adorned her face. The way she walked facing him was a bit cliche, though it was really cute, so he didn't really care.

"Really? That type of movie for you? That's," he said pausing before completing his thought. He didn't want to offend her, and make it seem as if he'd pegged her as a typical chick flick kinda girl, however that really been what he was ready to sit through. He wasn't going to complain that he had managed to find an awesome girl to see a movie with though. Things like that were way too rare for him to think twice about!

"Well, that's just a bit surprising. I guess there's a bit more to you than I thought," he said with a pleasant smile, pausing, and flipping around so that he would be facing her. The wind whipped at his hair, tugging it off to one side, and a couple of sparse rain drops appeared to be falling now, pelting their faces with the cool droplets.

He ran the list of movies through his head before they arrived at the ticket counter. Then Danielle turned around again, and began walking faster, beginning to increase the distance between them. He began to jog a bit to close the gap between them, his shirt flailing about in the pull of the wind, until he matched her pace beside her, and cool smile on his face.

He continued to match her pace, glancing over at her with a raised brow, the list of movies currently playing still running through his head. He continued these thoughts until they reached the ticket counter, and he still hadn't reached a decision. He glanced up to see what was playing, and looked over the available options through the dirty glass that separated the ticket guy, and himself.

"Err..." he said with a pleading grin over to Dani, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "So uh, any idea what you wanna see? I'm kinda coming up blank here!"

His words were kind of pleading, filled with a much deeper meaning than they obviously held. He played his voice, as well as facial expressions, making this decision seem as if their entire lives depended on it! Of course, this was all exaggerated to the tenth power, which made it abundantly clear that he was kidding, and just wanted her to pick the movie to be certain she had a good time.

Danielle looked at Rou. She recoiled a little bit from him.

"You're making me decide?"

She looked back at the list of titles once more. She hadn't really anticipated choosing the movie, since she had been the one asked to come to the movies. She assumed that Rou had a movie in mind. However, thinking back on it she realized that he couldn't have had one in mind already. Nothing had particularly stood out to her, though, so choosing a good movie was just going to be luck.

"Hm.... how about Helix? That one was supposed to be pretty interesting, I heard."

Danielle motioned to a poster advertising the movie. It showed a dark-haired woman and a handsome man dressed in black, standing over the name Helix, written in red. Behind them was a picture of a strand of DNA set in a dark computer-inspired background. There was also some catchy phrase to spark interest, but Danielle didn't bother with that. It was probably a lame attention-grabber anyway.

She glanced at Rou, to check his reaction.

((Lol at using old and dead RPs as movies 0_0))

Rou raised a brow with a perplexed smile crossing his face as she seemed to recoil from him. He couldn't understand what was so bad about picking a movie, even if he didn't want to do it himself. He only wanted to make sure that Dani had a good time, otherwise he would have picked the movie himself; however, he hoped that by offering her the choice, she would ensure that they had a good time.

When she spoke, he ran through his mind the list of titles, and descriptions he had read for each. He hadn't really given Helix much thought, as it hadn't seemed the type of movie that Danielle would have chosen, based on the information he had gathered about her thus far. As things stood now though, it seemed it would have payed to do a bit more research on the movie before they had gotten here.

He glanced up at the sign for Helix, and tilted his head to the side with a look of puzzlement, not quite remembering what the movie was supposed to be about. Sure, the sign did look fairly interesting, and he was sure that he had seen the movie in the top ten gross income that had been provided.

"Well! I guess if that's what you want to see, that sounds pretty cool!" he said as his eyes shot open, as if in surprise. In truth, he was surprised, however the looks of honest puzzlement had only crossed his face for a moment. Since he was standing beside of Dani, it wasn't like she would be able to see the facial expressions, unless she happened to be looking at him; kind of like she was right then, he imagined.

He gave a gentle squeeze with his right arm, pulling her a bit more into his side playfully, and bobbing his head down to knock lightly against her's. He laughed lightly as he slid a twenty out of his wallet and slid it into the slot at the bottom of the glass window where the money and tickets could be exchanged.

"Two for Helix, please?" he asked politely as he clipped his wallet closed, and slid it back down into his pocket. The lady who was working the counter slid two tickets for the next showing of the movie. Unfortunately, the next showing also happened to be twenty minutes from then, so Rou wasn't entirely sure what they would do with the time left over. He glanced around, and searched for another option, seeing that the sky was beginning to darken even more.

"So uh, Dani... Wanna go play in the arcade?!" he asked excitedly. A boyishly charming smile crossed his face as he looked down at her, his long chocolate brown bangs falling into his deep sapphire blue eyes. His demeanor was filled with excitement at the time they could spend together, even if he wasn't quite sure how they should spend the time waiting.

Danielle took her ticket and smiled at Rou, her eyes lighting up with excitement.

"Sure! That sounds like a great idea!"

She spun quickly on one foot to turn herself around. She hurried to the doors of the movie theatre. She looked over her shoulder to Rou, a playful smile on her face. She slipped inside the doors, calling back to him.

"I think they're this way!"

It didn't take long for her to find the arcade. It was clearly marked out with large lighted lettering, reading "Arcade," right above the entryway. Once inside the darkened room, Danielle wandered around among the machines. She took note of each game, reading the name and taking a peek at the screen. Occasionally, she'd get a chance to see some gameplay by looking over the shoulder of the silhouette playing the game. The theatre had a wide selection of games. There were puzzle games, space shooters (with the laser-firing airplanes), racing games, dancing games, and an assortment of shooting games (among which was the latest Dark Vertices title).

She was nearing the doorway, having made a complete circuit of the arcade interior when she stopped. Her eyes were locked on a battle of life and death. An attractive young man and woman fought against one another, as the unmanned game ran its demo. Danielle stood there, transfixed-- she was looking at the most beautiful and elegant graphics she'd ever seen in an arcade fighting game. It was almost as if the characters in the game were real. Every movement was fluid and natural. Every bolt of lightning sparkled with intensity. The scenery-- if she really took the time to look at it-- was vividly detailed. She approached the machine slowly.

The lightning-shooting boy fired a luminous orb at the brown-haired girl. She dodged it, and closed in. Her own electrical powers were released, and she struck a lethal blow against her opponent. He cried out in pain and collapsed. The camera circled around to the victor, who stared lifelessly back at Danielle. The girl's crystal blue eyes flashed a bright violet.

"I... do not approve of you."

The screen faded and the name of the game appeared. Nex.

Rou approached wordlessly from behind, pushing his way through the glass doors of the theater. Once inside, the pleasant aroma of popcorn filled his nose. He grinned as he glanced around the lobby for the aracade, but was surprised to see Dani already hastily retreating toward the entrance of a gaping hole in the wall, which had a sign hung over it, labeling it as "Aracade."

Rou took that as his Que, and followed along not too far behind her. He kept his eyes trained on the front of the arcade, and a game near the front. It honestly didn't look too interesting to Rou, though he couldn't tell from so far away. It looked more like a typical and generic arcade shooter; grab the plastic gun out of the holster, point, and shoot. The games had never held much appeal to him, but he supposed that with Dani's taste in movies, maybe that would be what she was interested in playing.

His shoes shuffled across the theater floor until he arrived at the entrance to the arcade. As he stepped from the linoleum floor, to the carpeted floor of the arcade, the entire environment changed. What had been a bright, spacious environment with people crowding one half of the floor was now transformed into a darker, more enclosed environment. Bright lines shone, and screens flashed to create a magical environment where excitement seemed to live, and radiate from every ounce of air in the environment.

Rou walked through the dark, cavernous room with a smile decorating his face. His eyes flashed as he looked from one side of the arcade to the basketball hoop games, to the other side where there were plastic car seats, and stearing wheels for simulation racing games. However, through all of his searching for something to play, he stayed close behind Dani, making certain that he didn't step on her by accident. He would occasionally glance to the screens of games and take a quick look at some of the game play for the game, mostly whenever Danielle would stop to glance at one to see whether it looked like it would potentially be fun.

However, each time he began to become engrossed in a game, Danielle would simply continue walking on, pressing forward; almost as if she were on a journey to find the perfect game for them to play while they waited for their movie's showtime to come about. Rou didn't really mind though, since he was more interested in making sure that she had a good time than whether or not he had one. So he pressed on with her without complaint, moving past classic games, such as air hockey, ski ball, and even a pool table or two before they reached another section of computerized games.

Rou didn't notice immediately that Danielle had stopped, and so he continued walking forward, bumping lightly into her. When he felt the impact, he shot his arm out, wrapping his hand quickly around her arm to make sure that he didn't accidentally throw her off balance. He noticed where her eyes appeared to be, and watched as the name of the game flashed across the screen. Rou grinned and looked down at Danielle, releasing her arm, in case it made her feel uncomfortable.

"Is this the game you want to play?" he asked.
