OOC: I fail hard at names.

It was early afternoon now, and Rou had taken the night to rest. He had, of course, pondered fhte fate of his friend Kai, and he had even taken the time to console his pet monkey, and assure him that everything would be alright. However, Rou couldn't be sure, as nothing had revealed itself to him throughout the evening.

When he had awoken that morning, he had discovered that an incident had occurred, and a fellow blue, some Aoi Sanders girl, had been hit by a car. The names of two students who had been at the scene were mentioned, and Rou was relieved to see that Kai had been one of the two. He was, of course, a bit perplexed as to the reason why he had been there, however he found it better not to ponder over such things, and instead ask the questions when the time arose.

So, despite the worry Rou had for his friend, he had gotten a good bit of rest. He had allowed his troubles to melt away as he slept, and had torn his mind free of the troubles of the day. When he had awoken, he had cleansed his body, and performed all of his typical morning rituals in preparation for the coming day.

However, when he had turned to the clock, he found that it was in fact much later than he had originally anticipated. He wasn't running late, but it was in fact around 1 in the afternoon, and Rou knew that he would need to be downstairs soon in order to meet Danielle for their trip to the movies.

He gave himself one last glance over in the mirror; ran a comb through his hair one last time, and then twisted the handle, and pulled open the door. He had walked through an empty hallway, not seeing much of anyone around as he walked down the stairs to the main lobby, where he would await Danielle's presence.

When he arrived downstairs, he chose to take a seat in plain view, near the front of the lobby, where anyone leaving would have to walk. He tossed a pair of jackets over the arm of the cushy sofa, and set a full helmet down on the table before plopping down into the chair himself. It sunk in underneath his weight with a pleasant plop, and as it did so, he slung his right arm over the back of the chair with a sigh.

He then began his wait for Danielle, an air of patience, and a serene look adorning his face. He didn't know when the time they had intended to meet was, so he knew that he may be waiting for a bit down here, without any sign from Danielle. With a quick twist and pull from within, he popped his neck several times, stretching the muscles on either side of his neck with a yawn.

He dug into his pocket with his left hand, pulling out his phone, and glancing it over. He realized that he would need to find the show times before they left to make sure that they arrived on time. With a quick press of his finger to the single indentation, the screen jumped to life, and he slid his thumb across the bottom to unlock the phone.

With another quick press, he opened an internet browser, and found a list of show times on google. He quickly glanced through them, and found a time that suited them well. Around 1:35 was when the next batch of show times began, and with any luck, they would be able to make any showing from then on. However, that all depended on whether or not Danielle arrived here within the next half hour or so.

With a quick press of that same indentation, the screen returned to the home screen, and Rou clicked his finger to the text message feature. His left thumb glided across the touch screen keyboard, and with a quick sequence of presses, he typed out a small message for his behemoth of a best friend. He glanced it over, double checking his spelling and grammar before clicking the send feature, and adding it to the phone's memory devoted to text messages.

With a sigh, he pocketed the phone in his pant's pocket, turning the ringer off so that only a light vibration would alert him of anything new. He then lowered his frame to rest on the arm of the chair closest to him, creating a roughly forty-five degree angle with his torso. The soft cushions of the couch sank in beneath his weight, and it felt unbelievably comfortable.

With a quick glance to the stairs, he began his wait for Danielle's descent.

Danielle emerged from the elevator, a subtle smile on her face. She was dressed a little bit differently today, although whether it was on account of going to the movies or the possibility of rain was difficult to tell. She wore black jeans and a black jacket to match. Over her the heart of the jacket was some sort of diamond-shaped insignia. It appeared to be an emblem of some sort, but no words accompanied it. Underneath her unzipped jacket was a flourescent blue short-sleeved shirt, which highlighted the blue in her eyes. Her long blonde hair was carefully tied back in a ponytail.

She immediately saw Rounin already waiting for her downstairs. She walked across the lobby over to him. He wasn't looking her way, but instead was watching the stairs. She slowed down and silently approached to within arm's length of him, using skills she had learned from the ninja aliens. She held her purse loosely in front of her, and leaned just within his line of sight. A floral scent had filled the room.

"Hey."

Rou sighed a small sigh as he continued to watch the stairs in silence. He had been waiting about ten minutes, and despite his patience, he absolutely loathed sitting still. There was really nothing to do while he waited, since his message had been sent, and the giant hadn't replied to it. Rou began to wonder if perhaps he had been in some sort of accident after the fact, but quickly dismissed the theory.

With a glance toward the glass doors that marked the entry way, he observed as some students passed by, along with a couple of other kids that he didn't recognize. Perhaps they had met up with some friends, if they lived here. Perhaps they had made new friends amongst the people from around here. Rou wasn't sure, since he didn't know any of these people well.

He quietly brushed free a few wrinkles from the black shirt he was wearing. The design was in various shades of gray, forming skulls, as well as wings, and other intricate patterns in the lack of color. Rou had never been one for bright colors, feeling that the colors made his attire, as well as his character seem a bit too loud.

Then, she leaned into his field of vision. He was a bit startled, and he in took a sharp breath in surprise, his eyes widening slightly. He wasn't jumpy, but people suddenly leaning in so close to him when he wasn't expecting it did have a tendency to startle. However, when he did see who it was, his breathing returned to normal, while his heart rate accelerated slightly.

His nostrils were filled with the pleasant scent of lavender as he turned to her, and stood up. His face became alight with a smile, his bright pearly whites sparkling in the lights shining down. On either of his cheeks, a slight dimple was visible as well, adding another effect to his smile. His eyes kept true to fashion, the sapphire blues filled with some pleasure from seeing her.

He looked her over, making sure that her attire would work well, and smiled seeing that she had worn a jacket, as well as pants. He would insist that she wore the extra jacket, of course, since he really didn't want to take the chance of Danielle getting road rash. However, he was pleased that she had remembered his advisory, at least.

He wrapped his thick arms around her slender shoulders, giving her a light hug in greeting. Then, as soon as he had done so, he let go, his cheeks turning a light pink for a moment. However, his eyes remained calm, and his demeanor, serene. He smiled down at her, and reached down for the extra jacket.

"Hey Dani, good to see you. Ready to go?" he said with a smile, gesturing for her to take the jacket.

Danielle smiled, pleased that she had surprised him. She noticed him looking her over, but she refrained from taking any specific actions in response. She couldn't really stop him from looking, no matter what she did anyway. She noted his choice of black clothing. It appeared that she had dressed accordingly. She smiled.

And then, he stood and gave her a hug. Her body froze up for a moment, completely not expecting being hugged so suddenly. After a moment, she put her arms gently around him, returning the hug politely. She looked away, waiting for the faint blush to fade from her face.

"Hey Dani, good to see you. Ready to go?"

Danielle looked up at him. He was holding a jacket out for her. She took it, uncertainly.

"Yes, I'm all ready. So... where are we going?"

"Good, good. Lets get going," he said stepping across the lobby, and beginning to walk over toward the automatic sliding glass doors. The soft plop of the carpet beneath his tennis shoes was perhaps something only he could hear, and it sounded like music to his ears today.

He walked past the large number of other chairs, sofas, and tables before remembering something. He stopped on his heel, and spun around, his face turning a bit pink once again as he marched back over to where he had been seated. He stopped just short, and looked it over to make sure he only had to grab two things.

He reached down with his right hand, and picked up his own leather jacket, sliding it on over his shoulders, and zipping it up in the front. The zipper made a pleasant zipping noise, after a bit of a struggle to persuade it to rise from its down most position. Rou stuffed his hands into his front pockets, pushing them further in, and double checking to make sure the keys were inside the coat pocket.

He then reached down, and grabbed the helmet that he had left laying on the table. He slid his fingers across the smooth, hard texture of the helmet, tightening the grip of his thumb, and forefinger so that the helm would not slide free of his grip. He then turned, and began to walk toward the door once more.

This time, he arrived at the door, and stepped out into the cool, moist air. It didn't appear to have rained yet, though it seemed all too likely that the rain was, in fact, coming soon. The wind wasn't too bad yet though, and that meant that the driving conditions were still relatively safe.

He glanced around for a moment, searching for the parking spot he had chosen last night. It had been late, but it seemed as if his latest acquisition would still be there. As he searched across the parking spots, he quickly recalled where it was that he had parked last night. He motioned with his right hand for Dani to follow along as he walked off to the side of the building.

He stopped with at the motorcycle with a grin, resting his hand on the cool, black metal of the gas tank. He then glanced over, and tossed the helmet in the direction of Dani with a soft smile.

"Put this on."

Danielle followed Rou almost out the doors. Then, she stopped as he abruptly turned around. She moved out of his way, and watched him retrieve a few things that he forgot. He returned with a helmet and another jacket. Then, she followed him out the doors of the hotel. Rounin seemed to be looking for something outside. Danielle wasn't entirely sure what it could be. She followed him along the side of the building to one of the parking lots. Rou stopped next to a motorcycle. Danielle wondered how he got one, but did not think about it for very long. She caught the helmet she was tossed.

Danielle put it on like she was instructed, and also slipped the second jacket over her clothes. She smiled, although it probably couldn't be seen. Then, she waited. She really hoped Rounin knew how to drive a motocycle. Otherwise, they wouldn't be going anywhere. Or worse, they could get hurt.

Rou smiled over to Dani, who put on the helmet. Despite the helm obstructing the view of most of her face, he could still make out the outline of a smile in the upper section of her mouth. The leather jacket was a bit big for her, but it fit for all intents and purposes, and would keep her protected in the event of a crash.

Rou slid his fingers across the cool metal of the glistening black gas tank, walking the length of the bike until he stood at the back of it. He sighed lightly, digging his fingers through the front pocket of his jacket, digging out the single key to the motorcycle from his pocket. He twisted his fingers around around the key, dancing it between his fingers as he pulled it from the oddly textured fabric of the jacket pocket.

He walked back to the side of the bike, and motioned for Dani to come to his side. Before she did so, he slung his leg over the side of the bike, resting himself on the cushy front seat. Rou didn't have a second helmet, nor anything to really cover his head with. However, to keep his eyes safe fromt he wind, he pulled a pair of sunglasses from his other front jacket pocket, and placed them over his eyes.

He glanced back over at Dani, motioning for her to hop on the back of the bike. He pressed his foot down on the peddle, down once and it was at the bottom. With a quick half kick up, he shifted the bike into neutral, and turned the key. The motorcycle roared to a start when the key turned, and Rou grinned down at her, his hand sliding across the cold, chrome handlebars.

"Come on Dani, we need to get going. We've got a movie to catch," he shouted over the motor with a smile.

Danielle watched him get on the bike, and put on a pair of sunglasses. She smirked, slightly amused that he really had a motorcycle. This afternoon was full of surprises. She sat down behind Rou, and tapped his head lightly.

"No helmet?"

She laughed softly. She could assume that he only had one helmet, and had given it to her. He obviously wasn't too used to riding with company, but that was forgivable. Danielle held on to him lightly, waiting for him to take her to the theatre. She didn't think too much of holding on to him. It was really the only thing she could do. She couldn't reach anything else. She'd make sure to hold on as tightly as was necessary. But while they weren't moving, she didn't need to. As she waited, she thought about how ridiculous this adventure was turning out to be. But at lease it was an adventure. Hopefully he knew what he was doing. She didn't want him to get hurt, especially since he didn't have protection for his head.

He felt a slight thud on the back of his head, as well as the slight bounce of the bike adjusting to the additional weight. She spoke to him, loudly enough that he could hear her over the roar of the motorcycle, but, or so it seemed to him, quietly enough that he was the only one that could hear her words. He raised his hand off the handlebars, and brushed his hair up with his fingers, making sure that it wouldn't be in a position that would compromise his vision while he was driving.

"Nah, no helmet required. I got some natural protection built in, baby," he said with a small chuckle, tapping his fingers against his head. His head responded with a small thud, and Rou couldn't help but hope she wasn't worrying. He may not have had the bike for very long, but he would be careful driving it; not because he was worried about cracking his head open on the black top, but because he wouldn't want to take the chance of her getting hurt while riding on the back.

He felt her arms wrap around his midsection, and he broke out into a smile at the feeling. He felt her secure her grip, and hold on to him, despite the lack of movement, and he turned his head. His grin was clear on his face as he looked back, both at her, and at the things behind him.

"You nervous?" he asked as he stood the bike up, kicking up the kick stand. He had both of his feet planted securely on the ground, keeping the bike balanced as he then slowly pushed forward with his feet, reversing the bike out of his parking spot. He was careful to watch for any cars potentially coming while he did so, so as to avoid any potential mishaps.

He then pulled in the clutch, and pressed his foot down on the gear shifter, putting it into first gear. He kept his fingers wrapped tightly around the clutch as he did so, and then he replanted his foot on the ground for a moment, slightly to the side of the main section leading out of the parking lot. He grinned, and looked out toward the open road, which, surprisingly enough, appeared to be more or less empty.

He glanced back over his shoulder at Dani, a large smile adorning his face. His hair was pushed back a bit more than usual, insuring that there would be no obstruction of his vision, however it made his chocolate brown locks appear to be a bit more of a mess than they would typically be. The dark sun glasses glinted slightly in the sun light as he looked softly through the transparent shell that covered only from her eyes, to her upper lip.

"This is gonna be fun, Dani," he said with a quick lean back, his head resting on her shoulder looking over at her, despite the helmet. He whispered his words beneath the small opening at the bottom of the helmet, ensuring that his words would reach her ears before he he began to ease off the clutch, searching for the friction zone.

When the clutch finally reached that point, and the bike began to creep forward of its own accord, Rou whispered once more to her. His words remained soft, sweet, and reassuring, just in case she was beginning to worry. The words he whispered were just a few brief words of advice, before they got going.

"Hold on tight, and don't let go. If something starts to feel wrong, sharp poke in the ribs to let me know." Then they were going, and before they had even gotten out of the parking lot, the bike had reached a quick third gear, pulling off onto the highway that would take them to their first destination.

Danielle smirked at her companion's response. She restrained the urge to comment about thick-headedness. She still managed to smile at the thought of it, though. Rou was really interesting. There wasn't really another word that came to mind. He was really unpredictable, and had a sort of roguish charm. Showing up with a surprise motorcycle had that effect. It was unexpected, but pretty cool anyway. She waited for him to drive.

"You nervous?"

She shook her head in reply, and tightened her grip slightly. Then, he leaned back to speak to her again.

"This is gonna be fun, Dani."

She smiled in response, then realized she should probably say something. He might not be able to tell she was smiling from that position, considering she was wearing the helmet.

"Yeah!"

The bike started moving. She waited with excitement. She'd never actually ridden on a motorcycle before. This was going to be fun. She put her trust in Rou to drive safely. After all, what they were doing probably would not be okay with a couple of the teachers. A few of the others might not mind, probably. But they were going anyway. Danielle decided to just enjoy herself, and think about it less. Rounin spoke to her again.

"Hold on tight, and don't let go. If something starts to feel wrong, sharp poke in the ribs to let me know."

Danielle nodded. Again, she decided to verbally reiterate her understanding.

"Alright."

And then, they were off. Before she knew it, they were on the highway, going to the movies. That was, providing they didn't get lost or something.
