Teh Kuuten!

Having woken up from his bed just an hour ago and looking at the clock on the wall, he had seen that he had overslept for breakfast. However, it was indeed still too early for a sanctioned lunch. Sure, brunch had crossed his mind but there were things that he needed to do before he could begin to eat the first morsel of food. He quickly dressed in a pair of pants and skulled T-Shirt and headed out the door of his relatively cheap hotel room. The room was nowhere near as glamorous as the Ra Yellow dorm he stayed in for a short time, but it was on the same level as his Osiris dorm, so he was used to such... disgusting conditions. After stepping out of the door, he looked at the map of the city he picked up at a local store and searched for an area of interest. He noticed a quaint little park on the map. He decided that the date being the usual day of prayer, he thought that the park would be quite deserted. After getting the directions to where it was, he was off. After a little bit of a walk, he was at his destination. Just as he suspected, the park only had a few joggers running around and the occasional family out for a stroll. He noticed a fountain in the middle of the park, seemingly in working order as clear water streamed down the side of it and to the water below. That seemed to be a wonderful place to do what he wants to. He began to walk over to it, trying to dodge the large branches that some kids had knocked down the previous day. As he approached it, the wind began to picked up a little, knocking the hair out of his eyes and letting it get knocked behind, draping down his neck. The wind, though slight, was enough to make Jake slow down his walk to almost a full stop. The wind carried a scent in the air, but not a familiar one. The wind carried the smell of water. The smell that usually signified rain in the coming day. As the wind came to a stop, he had reached the fountain. The water in the fountain was clear enough that you could see to the bottom of it. He placed the palms of his hands on the concrete outer edge of the fountain and looked down at it. He closed his eyes and began to process his thoughts. From his first days at the Academy, to how shy he used to be, to all of the friends he had and the friends he had lost. When he reopened his eyes, he actually smiled. He stood up fully before sitting back down on the edge and looking around. The joggers had jogged off but the families were still around. He continued to sit there, thinking that this break from the Academy could be the point in his carrer where he turns it around. Sure, his dueling record wasn't anywhere close to good but he possibly knew the reason why. He was usually afraid to attack, a Pessimist per say. He always was afraid of his monster getting destroyed, so he only hoped for his monster's special abilities to slowly drain his opponent's life points. Now, he knew he had to attack at remote times and not be afraid to attack. |
