I wont back down!

Kiseiko opened her eyes to a very fine day. The sun shone thrown the blinds as best it can, and it felt gneerally warmer than yesterday. She sat up and yawned, and stretched as far as she could. Blinking a couple times at the pattern the sun created ont he floor through the blinds, she got up, opened the blinds and looked at her luggage. 'Unpacking is never fun. I'll do it later...' She said, still feeling tired. Her energy or enthusiasticness hasn't kicked in yet. She changed into a similar outfit as yesterday, before adorning the 2 pieces that signified her uniform; A vest and a simi-colored skirt. She walked, slowly, out of her quaters and to the counter, and saw the sign on the door would still read 'Closed'. She walked over and switched the sign, and casually walked back.

'Everything seems slower today... I wonder if anyone will be here this time of day... Wait! what time is it, anyway?!' The fact she didn't even know the time sprung her to her senses. She turned to the clock, and read it was only in the morning. She didn't pay attention to the details, but she saw it was around 9. She faced the door again, sighed, propped her elbow on the counter and then rested her head in her hand.

After walking around, exploring the shopping district some more, Rina decided to take a break on one of the wooden benches placed near a long pole with a clock perched on top. It was just about 9 o'clock at that point. Classes would begin in approximately one hour, if she remembered correctly.

The redhead Ra glanced around at some of the shops in the area. The public arcade grabbed her attention for a short while as some students entered and exited the building. With the free time that she had, she considered working on the new deck that came to mind before bed, last night. Unfortunately, she didn't bring the resources for it. Writing it down on paper would be something to do, but it also seemed like a waste of paper, since she'd likely work on it, once back in her room.

".... ...." She glanced at the duel disk attached to her arm and raised a concerned brow. "I brought this thing along, thinking that someone would challenge me to a duel. ...But I guess everyone's either too busy, getting ready for class, ...or they're still asleep...." .... After a moment of thought, she tilted her head backward as she sighed, resting her arms over the backrest of the bench. She gazed at the bright, blue sky. The barely-moving clouds caused a sort of peacefullness in Rina for a while. She closed her eyes, opening them half a minute later. The peace soon turned to restlessness as the thoughts of dueling returned to her.

Would she even get a chance to duel before class? She realized that instead of waiting for challenges, she sometimes, needed to be the assertive one and challenge others. But even then, what student would have the time to duel...? What student.... What student.... What student...? "...Wait a sec...!"

Rina looked around to get her bearings. Once that had been established, she gathered her things and proceeded to the one place that defied her train of thought.

The ice cream shoppe door opened minutes later, with Rina stepping inside.
She immediately saw who she remembered as Kiseiko, the shop's keeper and employee.

"Ah! Kiseiko! Yo!" The blue-eyed redhead gave the other girl a two-fingered salute, using her index and second fingers.

Takuya entered the Ice Cream Shop, a bit disappointed with Billie's rejection to duel. They were in an academy for dueling, and she didn't want to duel? What fun was that?

As Takuya had walked through the doors, he had seen a redheaded Ra running to the counter, shouting something. Whether it was a name or a greeting, Takuya came a second too late. As Takuya walked up towards the counter, he felt a bit strange. He had felt a light buzzing in his head. Maybe ice cream was the solution?

"Hello there. Can I please have a plain vanilla ice cream cone?" Takuya asked the countergirl.

Lawrence wandered the shopping district, astonished and slightly frightened at the bizarre workings of the modern world. He stepped into the tile flooring and fluorescent lighting of this shop, taking a breath as he tried to gather his thoughts.

Even the most common things here seemed to make him jump, startling him, as he had no idea what half of these things were meant to do. He looked around the room, then saw the Firefly. He decided to avoided her, not wanting to admit his loss against a girl. He instead walked to the counter, noticing a boy who appeared to be ready to purchase something.

"You there, Young Boy! What type of commodity does this establishment vend?"

Noticing the young man enter and approach, "Hm? Oh," Rina moved out of the way so that he could make purchase, so that Kiseiko could make a sale.

Taking note of the boy's overall appearance, she knew that she had never really seen him, before. Either that, or she just flat out didn't notice him, which wasn't hard, considering some the personalities in the class.

She leaned back against the side wall, patiently waiting for them to finish.

"Didn't think anyone, here, but me would want ice cream in the morning...."

With her duel disk arm at her side, held onto by the other hand from behind, she stared towards Takuya as though she was trying to know him better by it.

Not to long afterwards, the nickname knight entered the building. The nickname of 'Firefly' returned to the forefront of her mind, as that would be the main thing that she'd remember him for.

She began a gestured nod of greeting, but paused as it seemed Lawrence hadn't noticed her. Either that or he was avoiding her, but the latter had never crossed her mind. She didn't feel there was a need to avoid her.

She mentally sighed and returned her focus to the unfamiliar Osiris.

As Takuya made his order, he waiter for the countergirl to respond. He realized that there had been the girl he had seen right next to him.

He turned towards her, smiling.
"Hey there, my name's Takuya Kuchiki." Takuya said, holding out his hand for a handshake. Maybe she was friendly?

And just as her focus returned, she found the boy turning towards her, introducing himself, she was somewhat caught off guard, as her attention was momentarily elsewhere.

"! .... A--... Oh!" She noticed his extended hand. She accepted it by extending her own for the handshake. While scratching the back of her head with the equipped arm's hand. She grinned sheepishly. "Heheh. Rina Kasakura. ...Sorry. Kinda zoned out for a moment, there."

The knight sighed. Measles, still a hard to combat disease, were known to cause deafness.

He then turned to the Firefly. Her auditory sensors didn't seem to be damaged when they dueled last night.

"Firefly, what sort of commodities do people obtain in this establish?" he didn't quite look at her, instead focusing his attention on the tiles she was stepping on. Seemed the boy was still feeling a bit of shame at losing against such a dainty looking maiden.

After shaking hands with the Ra Yellow, she had introduced herself as "Rina Kasakura". She had also apologized about something.

"It's okay, you don't need to apologize" Takuya said with a smile. "Well, since we're here, can I buy you ice cream?" Takuya said, offering to pay for her.
"Unless you can't eat something like ice cream in the morning?" Takuya added. After all, ice cream in the morning? Who does that except for Takuya?

Rina paused for a second. ".... ...." ...or more.

"M-Me...? Really? ...Uh, yeah, ...sure.... Thanks...!"

Yet another "first" for Rina: someone offering to buy her ice cream. This wasn't the same as yesterday when Billie allowed Rina to run up Kabuto's tab. This was directed specifically towards the redhead. I mean... wow...! She mildly blushed, thinking too much of the situation.

It was then when Lawrence spoke the nickname that perked her ears up upon hearing it. She snapped out of whatever trance she was in and listened to the knight's instantaneous question.

"...! H-Huh?" She took a second to take it all in. "Commod--... commodities?" She blinked at first. It had been a while since she had heard someone of this generation use that word. It surprised her a little. "...You mean... the ice cream?" She pointed at the displays of dairy goodness in front of Kiseiko.
