The pitter patter of drops dancing along the street was the only symphony that highlighted the scene. The rain seemed to cause all Silvershine citizen to scramble for cover, however Lawrence wasn't really the type to be bothered by a small drizzle. A hardened knight who had lived in the Sebek Dorms, who had lived in a tent for almost a year, this was significantly better then what he was used to. However, Lawrence didn't particularly have any business near the Silvershine Shopping Center. His part-time job as a Plutonium Minery paid little, and his job as an underground duelist paid little as well. But never the less, Lawrence's boredom was getting the better of him, and loitering about was much more interesting then staring at his wall, not doing anything. With all the balance and grace of the gymnast Sakaki had wanted to be (for perhaps a year of her life), her little feet worked furiously on the pad. The music played just a little bit too loudly for her little ears, but she didn't mind. She was only twenty thousand away from the high scores list! And that was just what she would work for! Sakaki danced and played, breaking a sweat as she worked her very hardest to do a good job. The music picked up in tempo, and Sakaki's little feet danced, harder and harder as she worked. she giggled as she played, the fast, upbeat techno music ALMOST slipping her up! THAT wouldn't have been fun! It was only minutes later when the song ended, and... "Yay!" The child pumped her fist into the air victoriously. There she was, right on high score number nine! Bouncing up and down, the child giggled at how good a job she did. Hoping to play again, she rifled through her pockets... and found she was out of quarters! Oh no! What was a poor little Sakaki to do? Well... she was just gunna hafta find more! And so began the quest to find quarters! Hoping off of the DDR mat, the child began looking around, bending over low to peer beneath machines and the like for quarters. "Quarters.... Hellloooo? Come out come out, wherver you are...." Oh, where could they be? There had to be one quarter, in this whole tinky pl-- "Aha!" Bending her knees to get lower, Sakaki reeeeeeeached, and found one! Yay! N ow she only needed one more! But... she had already looked all over the place... where ever could she find another? Edited by Sakaki Ahi, Jul 17 2009, 02:31 AM.

A rainy day like this always brought a gleam of nostalgia to our young Sebek knight. One particularly rainy day in the old Crimson Wind Academy. A rainy day like this one was when Lawrence had defeated the vile Grim Reaper. He smirked as other thoughts of the Academy began to flood back. Some sweet, like his meeting with the Firefly, some not so sweet like the stomach wound inflicted by the Serpent Girl, and his crowning moment of awesome where he had a tag duel with that arrogant Spartan professor and... "Little Sister?" his thoughts were interrupted by the high pitched chatter nearby, and the shuffling of a little girl as she made her way looking to find a coin. "Little Sister!" he yelled out louder, as though in greeting, and to get her attention. Whether or not he got her attention was entirely up to her. Though a boy who modeled himself after a Renaissance Knight may have been hard to forget, the fact that he nicknamed everyone, and the fact that Sakaki's particular nickname was Little Sister may have been a fact that could easily be overlooked. But then again, Sakaki was much smarter then she looked, being a prodigy and all... But on the off chance she had forgotten the nickname Lawrence had given her, the Sebek Knight hurriedly stomped towards her. "Little Sister, what ever do you think you are attempting to do, gallivanting about here in the heart of a bustling metropolis such as this one!?" A tone of anger and a tone of worry in his voice. "Are you not be enrolled in one Crimson Wind Academy?" As far as I recall, Lawrence hadn't realized that the students of Crimson Wind Academy had been at the city, for about a day now. An imposing stance as he stopped a foot or two away from the young Ra Yellow prodigy, hands on his hips as he looked down upon her. |

"Oh, hi mister knight person!" Sakaki stood and waved at him with her quarter-hand. She hadn't actually met Lawrence. She had seen him around a few times, at the academy, but had never really spoken to him. She remembered that he did lots of silly things at school: He talked really funny, and dressed wierd, too. He was always going around like a knight. Sakaki liked that, because it made her feel like she could be a princess. He was a knight in shining armor -- quite literally -- and Sakaki remembered all the fairy tales. But he was silly, and Sakaki was pretty sure he had cooties besides. Giggling, she held out her hand, in answer to his question, showing the quarter she had spotted on the floor. "I was playing that dancing game, and I was doing really good! But... I ran out of quarters." She frowned at this bit, and turned her head, scanning the floor for the sparkle fo cash. "I found this one, but... I can't find any more! Oh! Unless...." SHe looked at Lawrence with her cutest grin, and asked "Do YOU have any quarters?" Her hands were folded in front of her, and she was smiling up at him in her most cutest way. |

(OOC: But they dueled once! He was the reason Sakaki's boyfriend left! ;_;) Lawrence's face softened, no longer as upset with Sakaki's answers. But he still wasn't quite convinced with her response. "I humbly appologize, I do not have any spare change on me Little Sister." muttered Lawrence, as he opened the satchel that dangled off his left hip. Sure enough, it was mostly empty except for a few rocks, and what looked to be a few stick. Why Lawrence would fills his bag with what seemed like garbage was anyone's guess. "By the by, were you not supposed to be enrolled on the academy on the island?" Lawrence blinked. "Were you perhaps forced to leave the island due to a stomach wound?" Lawrence hadn't quite yet gotten word that several Academy students had arrived on the island. |

(Oh yeah! I remember that!) "Aww..." Little Sakaki's head hung low, her shoulders slumping down as her dissappointed feeling grew. She only had one quarter left! She had to find another one! But the silly knight person was still here. Sakaki didn't want to be rude and make him go away, just so she could look for a quarter. "That's okay, mister knight." She looked up and smiled, giving a thumbs up. "I'll find a quarter somewhere's else!" She smiled, and turned around, peering at the ground half-heartedly as she continued to search for a coin. "Hm? Why... why aren't I at the academy? It's a field trip, silly!" She nodded at her own words, closing her eyes cutely. "My tummy's just fine! There's lotsa people from the island here! We're all here on a kinda-vacation, and we can play and laugh and eat and have fun! There's no homework... but I guess it's still fun anyway!" The child was smiling as brightly and happily as ever, still glancing, occassionally, at the ground, perking up at the sound of a dropped coin before the dropper picked it up, returning it to his clumsy fingers. "Mister knight, let's play a game! It's called... 'the-who-can-find-the-most-quarters-so-I-can-play-Lots-more-games-game!" She giggled at the silliness involved in the abnormally long name, turning around to scan the ground once more. "There's gotta be one more... Just one more! C'mon, mister knight! If we find another quarter, you can watch me play!" |

Lawrence rolled his eyes at Sakaki's suggestion of a game. "Do you truly believe I-" he stopped himself, realizing that no, he didn't have anything better to be doing at the time. He didn't have any money on him at the time, except for a small handful of bills for food, and a small collection of gold which he had stored at his house. However, some things did occur to him. "Little Sister, you have all the time in the world to do as you please, and you choose to spend that time playing a game?" Lawrence shook his head dismissively. "Little Sister, as you are not being properly educated right this moment, I beseech you to go to your studies this very moment, rather then squander your precious time on silly little activities like this." Though Lawrence wasn't much to talk about squandering time, considering what he did for the afternoon. |

"But... it's not silly! It's fun!" She nodded, and she went to grab his hand, in an effor tto pull him to the machine, or else around the arcade, to look around for quarters. "If we find just ONE more quarter... I can show you! You'll see, it's lots of fun!" She looked back up to him, her little face scrunching up in thought. "And.. we have the week off! So... I don't have any studies to get back too..." At these words, the child's little face dropped downheartedly. Little Prodigy that she was, Sakaki loved her studies a whole lot. Homework was fun, for her! At least, when it was hard.... Sakaki spent a lot of her time, when she felt bored, anagramming. It was one of her favorite things to do when she was bored, because she could do it at any time, with anything.* "I wish I could go back to class. I miss it! It's lotsa fun to play with all the other students, but... I like it when the teachers tell me I'm doing good!" She nodded, and then looked up at Mister Lawrence, a thought coming to her. "Unless... Did you want to duel with me? Maybe we could play, and I could show you all the stuff we learned in class! It would be like... a reviewe!" She smiled at him earnestly. She liked that idea. "I remember your deck... ithad lots of pretty, shiny monsters in it." She giggled at the thought, and was smiling up, smiling, trusting completely. *Ant thingy, any night, ninth gay, thin yang. |

Lawrence barely looked interested in her excuse. "Regardless! I am certain you can easily come up with any kind of activity to keep your brain going-" But before he could truly lecture her, she seemed to challenge him to a duel. "Ah, a game then?" it seemed to pique his interest, however he still remained unsure, a sense of trepidation. Lawrence was naturally a bit arrogant, but he wasn't too sure whether to accept the girl's challenge or not. (OOC: Srsly? Your inactivity combined with my laziness? This might take a really really REALLY long time. 0_0) |

"Yeah! We can play and I'll show you how much better I gotted in school!" She put her backpack down, as though already assuming that he would agree, and rifled through her backpack. Then Sakaki stopped. She paused, turned, and looked back up. wait a minute.... That knight guy... THAT was when she dueled him! He was... He... He was one of the people who played with her and Mister Kratos that day! She stood up, looking at him, remembering everything just a bit too clearly. It had been a long time since then, and her ten year old heart had gotten over it's first break, for the most part, but him... She wasn't good enough to beat him... she had lost to him, that day, and because of it, Mister Kratos left her for ever! Sakaki's smile was wiped off, and now her look was one of steely determination, of iron will, of plastic glitter. "I'll show you, Mister Knight! I... I'm not the scared little girl I was before when we played! I'm gunna win this time!" She turned around, and pulled out her duel disk with a look of true ferocity, her face turned up into a pouty, grumpy scowl. Such was nto the type of expression worn often by such a happy little Sakaki as this, but right now, she was not a happy Sakaki at all. As much as the girl blamed herself, she blamed her opponents, as well, for beating her that day, and as such, Sakaki saw this as a chance; not for revenge, but for redemption. "Just you wait!" Whipping around in an absolute fashion, the plastic device activated with a sudden force, and as tiny, as weak, as helpless as Sakaki truly was, in that moment, the child looked very much woman, grown and frightening. |
