[Month 3 - Day 10 Start (Afternoon)] It was afternoon, the day after the accident. Aoi's condition had stabilized - her life did not appear to be in immediate danger. However, she had yet to regain consciousness. The doctors had every hope that she would wake up soon. At this point, with no treatable conditions, they could do little but wait. Two students from the academy had also chosen to wait that night: Rina Kasakura and Shichiro Kai. From the site of the accident, they had traveled to the hospital to check on Aoi's condition. They had never received their opportunity to talk with their friend. But how long would they have to wait for her? A new face appeared outside in the gardens. A girl with pink hair rushed through the doors of the hospital, yelling to everyone in the waiting room, "I'm here to visit Aoi Sanders!!" She hurriedly glanced about the room to see if anyone would help her in her quest. A bright red backpack stood out against her white shirt and jeans. She was breathing heavily, and a few beads of sweat could be seen on her face. It was apparent she had been running for some time. |

From inside Aoi's hospital room, Rina was staring outside at the pouring rain by the large window. Every few seconds, she would glance back. Each time, she would see her friend, sleeping peacefully on the provided bed. ".... ...." Aoi had yet to wake up, as far as she knew, as the redhead had fallen asleep in a nearby chair around 2 in the morning. Rina opted not to leave her side for conveniences until the blue-haired girl opened her eyes, providing the orange-haired teen with some relief. Kai had waited along with Rina, and she was grateful for that, having someone to keep her from stressing out all night. One more glance back from the window... ".... .... .... .... I wonder when she'll be able to open her eyes again...." There was a short silence in the room, allowing the noise from outside it to be heard. "...! ...?" Rina turned towards the door, knowing the loud sound she heard, likely a girl's voice, was coming from the hall by the waiting area. "...? ...What's that...?" Curiosity-driven, she calmly walked towards the door, opening it cautiously. She poked her head out to see what the noise, in a hospital, was about. Aside from the few people seated in the waiting room, their eyes, as well as Rina's were turned to a girl in the distance, dressed in white, with pink hair. With the attention on that girl, it became apparent, after the fact, that she was related to the source of the noise. All Rina did was stare curiously, as she never caught the spoken word, only faint sounds from the hospital room. Edited by Rina Kasakura, Jul 14 2009, 08:19 PM.

Add-on: Before the two settled in Aoi's room, Kai had parked his motorcycle in the parking garage. The manly man himself couldn't sleep, staring out the window into the night as time passed, waiting the awaking of Rina or Aoi. As the sun rose, as did Rina, I'm assuming. With that, the rain began to pour, and the two friends, well.. One friend and a friend of Rina's watched it do so. Time had passed, and nothing much was said. Rina heard a noise, and headed over to the door to see what it was, Kai didn't and leaned against the wall. His eyes were slowly closing, he had to force himself to stay awake. After had doing a lot of things earlier yesterday, and then adding stress and then no sleep for the whole night, he was beat. "Excuse me, miss..." the receptionist began. It was no longer the night shift; this time a young man sat behind the counter. He glanced at the computer screen to make sure the number was correct. "She's in Room 112, but-" The girl didn't wait for him to finish. Upon hearing the room number, she called out, "Thank you!" and ran to the hallway, practically crashing into Rina on her way into the room. "Emily, Emily! I'm here now!" |

Rina jumped back and inhaled suddenly as the new girl stood before her under the room's door. Confusion set in. "E-Emily...??" This was, in fact, room 112, having overheard the young man's directions, but Rina didn't know any Emily. Maybe the receptionist, in shock or in his haste, gave her the wrong room number.... The redhead looked at Kai, who seriously needed sleep, then back to the pink-haired girl, whose path Rina was somewhat unintentionally blocking, though the new arrival could easily get around her from Rina's left side. "Sorry, I think he gave you the wrong room number...." Rina spoke softly with a bit of haste, attempting to keep things quiet so as not to cause Aoi to awaken abruptly - that could be a bad thing, she figured. |

Raising his head up, from dozing off for a couple of seconds, literally. It seemed there was a new arrival, visiting Aoi. "Emily?..." Kai said, somewhat silently to himself, not loud enough to hear, though. [OOC: Didn't really have much to say... eh.. <_< Dammit Joe.] |

Completely ignoring what Rina was saying, the visitor forced her way past Rina and into the room. "Emily!?" She looked down at Aoi laying in the bed, noticing the extent of her injuries. A severe hit to the back of her head, still covered in bandages. Her left arm had been broken by the impact of the vehicle. The wound on her right arm was nowhere near as serious, obtained when she had skidded along the ground after the collision. Her head had taken most of the impact with the pavement. The newest arrival shook her head, seeing that Aoi had not yet awakened. Without turning to face the others, she asked, "How long has she been like this?" She was pretty sure she already knew the answer. |

His eyes closed, half asleep but still awake enough to listen to everything being said in the room. "Since early last night." he spoke, you could tell he was beat, from not sleeping. "She's been asleep since, they say she'll be fine." still, leaning against the wall, he forced his eyes open, to see a pink haired girl, dressed in pink and white. |

All Rina had the energy to do was look away, shamefully, unable to bring words to her lips. Knowing it was all her own fault, she hadn't the strength to voice anything that would add to this particular conversation. The fact that this new girl hadn't corrected herself in regards to Aoi's name, or how quickly she arrived, all things considered, were the last things on Rina's mind, at the time. All she could think about was the possibility or likelihood of this girl utterly despising her if she were to learn of why it all happened. She was either a friend or a relative of Aoi's, which made things seemingly difficult for the redhead to speak openly. The lone thought kept her silent.... |

"Emily..." the pink haired girl whispered as she stepped closer to Aoi. She reached out a hand to the unconscious girl, but stopped herself. She didn't want to inadvertently make her condition worse. Her clenched hands returned to her sides. A moment of silence passed before she spoke once again. "Are you two... from the Academy?" |
