Ultra-Poster!
Sitting at the long, marble black desk, a handsome young male nervously shook as he prepared for the newscast. This being his first time on center stage, he was noticeably feeling meek.

"It's okay." A female, middle aged yet not completely out of it yet shook the younger of the duo out of his stupor. "You did fine during rehearsals, just do it in exactly the same way and we'll be fine."

A smile and a nod from her when suddenly the bright lights of the studio came to life. The cameraman pointed his device at the pair, holding up 5 fingers. Then 4. Then 3. 2. And... action!

---

"Welcome to the Ethics and Standards News Hour!" she spoke with the confidence one would expect from a woman of her years. "I'm anchor Matilda Powers-"

She ended the sentence a tiny bit higher then usual, as though expecting her co-anchor to finish. He did not.

"And this is my co-anchor Samuel ... Smith." She cleared her throat, as she prepared the leading story.

On the monitors that surrounded the area, one could note a small graphic on the left side of the screen reading 'Hit and Run Horror!' with a chalk outline on what seemed to be the ground, at the back end of a car, seemingly fleeing the scene.

"Earlier today a tourist was run down in a hit and run about 2 blocks away from Kaibaland Amusement Park." A solemn expression on her face as she reported the story. "An ambulance and police car arrived quickly at the scene and took her to Zankai Hospital, where her status was listed as critical."

The camera cut to an outside feed of the location where the tourist was struck. Crime tape, a chalk outline, and several rubberneckers littered the scene. "Due to strict privacy laws as well as at the Police Commissioner's request, we can not report too thoroughly on an ongoing investigation."

The camera panned out, showing the both of them, before zooming towards her co-anchor as the next news story began.

---

"In lighter news, earlier today at Dusk Memorial Park-" the male co-anchor adjusted his papers in an informal fashion, only to end up dropping all of them in an embarrassing manner. But as the show must go on, he had to complete his sentence. "-nothing happened."

The camera quickly jumped back to Miss Powers, still caught in mid facepalm at her co-anchor's work, before realizing she was on camera. Skipping a beat, she quickly jumped back into 'news reporter' mode.

---

"Transit Tower Research and Development, a small subsidiary of the Syndicate has made a rather jarring claim today."

It cut to previously shot footage of what seemed to be a researcher, along with Matilda's narration. "The Syndicate has promise to show the world a new, cleaner, cheaper power source than the Nuclear Power that most in the region currently use."

Back to a shot of the studio. "Head of the Syndicate, Overlord Z, could not be reached for comment, however a spokesman for the Syndicate has promises to have a big unveil in the near future."

The camera shot back to Samuel, how finally seemed to be getting the hang of this.

---

"Th-the Silvershine Police Force seems to continue doing it's part in cleaning up the streets." After his introduction, a clip of the Wrong Side of the Highway began to play.

"In a daring bust near Highway 17, a local group of gang banger-." Matilda elbowed him, unseen to any viewers on TV, as the monitor continued playing clips of the Wrong Side. "I-I'm sorry, gang members were apprehended by police after an anonymous tip from a Mr. 'The Third'."

The camera cut back to the studio. "This comes after months of police crack down and hard work to rid the streets of Wrong Side scoundrels, a common term for those who live in the improvised section of town."

---

The camera panned out, showing the both of them now. "And now we'll go to Silvershine's local weather girl, Miss Sonia Cruz. Sonia?"

Cut to a woman in front of a green screen. The screen would be prepared for the viewers at home.

"Sad news guys." a deep, honestly disappointed sound to her voice, which came after years of acting training. "As much as I'd like to give you guys good news, tomorrow looks like rain."

The green screen flashed into a map, from the home viewers point of view. Fancy graphics showed up on the screen to illustrate Sonia's point. "We have a cold front coming in from the north, and a warm front from the south, and when both hit we're in for quite the thunderstorm at around say... afternoon time until late evening tomorrow. However, as with all weather advisories, this is in no way a guarantee."

The "five day forecast" flashed on the screen for a second. Highs for the next day seemed to indicate temperatures as low as 42, but as high as 67. "It's when the rain hits that it's gonna feel a bit hot and humid." Sonia declared.

"A bad start for the work week I know." she feigned cute innocence rather well. "Matilda. Samuel. Back to you!"

---

"Well that's it for the Ethics and Standards News Hour. I'm your anchor Matilda Powers-" a fleeting glance at Samuel.

"And I'm Samuel..." he blanked for a second. "Smith."

"And we wish you and your loved ones a happy and safe day. Buh-bye."

And just like that, the show was over.
