[OOC: Just to make sure everyone knows, this topic is interlinked with the topic shown in the link below, we just didn't want to have two duels going on simultaneously in one topic.]

[From: Dreamers on the Crux of Destiny]

The other battle had already begun and the girl known as Kisalicious had made a very bold opening play. Draco was certain Gouki would be able to handle her ace card though. The way she screamed with delight when she summoned that monster, Draco figured the mighty Blue-Eyes White Dragon must be her favorite card. The Blind Duelist however, would need to focus on his end of things and to try and ensure he didn’t let his roommate down.

Lumis had given Draco the pre-emptive strike. He reached into an inner pocket of his trench coat and pulled out a pair of earphones and inserted the jack into the left ear of the dragon. Draco placed one of the earphones into his left ear and put the other one back inside his inner trench coat pocket.

With all the preparations complete, he was ready to duel.

"Very well then. He, who strikes first, wins!"

He drew to have six cards in his hand.

"First up, a Spell Card! It's known as E - Emergency Call! Not that it's an emergency or anything . . .

E - Emergency Call

Normal Spell

Add 1 "Elemental Hero" monster from your Deck to your hand.
He searched through the deck for the one card that his spell could grab. Elemental Hero Stratos. Draco showed his opponent the card before summoning it straight to the field by using up his once per turn Normal Summon.
Elemental Hero Stratos

WIND/Warrior/Effect:

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, you can select and activate 1 of these effects:

•Destroy Spell or Trap Cards on the field up to the number of other "Elemental Hero", "Destiny Hero" and "Evil Hero" monsters you control.

•Select and add 1 "Elemental Hero", "Destiny Hero", or "Evil Hero" monster from your Deck to your hand.

ATK: 1800 DEF: 300
I'll choose to activate his secondary effect which allows me to add my Destiny Hero - Malicious to my hand. Draco shuffled his deck and placed it back in the mouth of the black dragon. He won't stay there for long though, because I activate the Destiny Draw Spell Card!
Destiny Draw

Normal Spell
Discard 1 "Destiny Hero" card. Draw 2 cards.
Draco drew the top two cards from his deck but felt no need to play either of them.

"I'll hand things over to you now."

[From: Dreamers on the Crux of Destiny]

As Draco finished his turn, it was time for Lumis to start his. Drawing the next card, he'd reviewed his hand and sighed lightly. Not the best start... He'd started off by activating a Spell, slipping it into the proper slot on his Duel Disk.

"I'll start off by activating the power of Terraforming."

Terraforming

Normal Spell

Add 1 Field Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.

From that, a card had been released from his Duel Disk and silently popped out from its slot. Picking it out, he'd revealed it to his current opponent before placing it on the field. Around them, gears started erupting from the floor and buildings made of rusted metal had appeared around them.

"I'll then activate the Field Spell, Geartown."

Geartown

Field Spell

Both players can Tribute Summon "Ancient Gear" monsters with 1 less Tribute than required. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 "Ancient Gear" monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard.

Once he'd done that, he'd re-evaluated his hand and decided to finish with something defensive.

"I'll set 1 Monster and end my turn."

Geartown.

Highly likely to be an OTK deck of some nature. Draco would have to play cautiously but not without aggression.

"Interesting move, I draw."

Draco wanted to summon a behemoth of a monster this turn but one which would be powerful enough to withstand an unsuspecting assault from his opponent should he launch one. Only one monster came to mind.

"I am going to summon the Tuner Monster, Rose, Warrior of Revenge!"
Rose (comma) Warrior of Revenge

* * * *

FIRE/Warrior/Tuner:

When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, inflict 300 damage to your opponent.

ATK: 1600 DEF: 600
"Rose is going to give Stratos a hardcore blowjob tune up! I Synchro Summon Colossal Fighter!"

Since I am way too lazy to write out the Synchro Summon description, I'll just tweak Gouki's one a little and paste it below.

The female warrior bursts into four circles of light while the Elemental Hero bursts into four spheres of light. The spheres get in between the circles, then a pillar of light shoots through them. Before long, a gigantic white warrior appears after the pillar of light ceases.
Colossal Fighter

* * * * * * * *

DARK/Warrior/Synchro/Effect:

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters.

This card gains 100 ATK for every Warrior-Type monster in any Graveyard. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon 1 Warrior-Type monster from either player's Graveyard.

ATK: 2800 DEF: 1000
The monster hologram grew a little in size as it gained an additional 100 attack from its parents the two warrior monsters in Draco's graveyard used to Synchro Summon Colossal Fighter as well as the Destiny Hero - Malicious sitting in Draco's graveyard.
Colossal Fighter

ATK: 2800 => ATK: 3100
"I am going to set one back row card. Now my Colossal Fighter strikes your Face-Down monster!"

The hologram charged in and raised one of its fists into the sky, before slamming it down against the defence monster. To Draco's surprise, the opponent's monster had not been crushed. It escaped without any damage whatsoever.
Dark Resonator

* * *

DARK/Fiend/Tuner:

Once per turn, if this card would be destroyed by battle, it is not destroyed. (Damage calculation is applied normally.)

ATK: 1300 DEF: 300
Damnit! I should have attacked with both of my monsters before tuning them together! Now I have given him the opportunity for him to perform a Synchro Summon of his own. But what the hell is a Dark Resonator doing in a Geartown OTK deck.

It was clear that Draco was annoyed by the sudden turn of events.

"That monster thwarted my attack for this turn. I'll ensure he perishes next turn should you fail to perform a Synchro Summon. Yeah, your move."

Change is a funny thing...
(OOC: Ugh... missed in the log that I set a S/T as well. Well, it's in the log, so you know.)

Lumis drew his next card and looked at his hand. It wasn't looking good at all. So, he was forced to activate his face down. Pressing the button on his disk, it revealed his face down. Reckless Greed. He'd drawn an additional two cards at the cost of skipping his next 2 Draw Phases. Things seemed to be looking better for him, but Colossal Fighter was a pain... He'd decided to do what he could about the situation. He'd slipped a card into a S/T Zone, activating it. Another Terraforming. Another Geartown. However, this happened differently. He'd set a card into his Field Zone, immediately destroying the other Geartown. And one of his Ace Monsters appeared.

Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon

Attrib: Earth
Type: Machine/Effect
Level:8
Atk: 3000
Def: 2000
If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. If you Tribute Summon this card by Tributing any of the following monster(s), this card gets the appropriate effect(s): •Green Gadget: During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. •Red Gadget: If this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, inflict 400 damage to your opponent. •Yellow Gadget: If this card destroys your opponent's monster by battle, inflict 600 damage to your opponent.

But that wasn't all. He'd played his next card in silence, trying to think of all of the possibilities.

Heavy Storm

Group: Spell Card
Type: Spell
Destroy all Spell and Trap Cards on the field.

It got rid of his opponent's Divine Wrath. That was good. Lumis didn't want to take any chances. The other plus side of this was that it let Lumis summon another Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon. But they wouldn't be enough to stop Colossal Fighter. So, Lumis was forced to activate his next card.

Power Bond

Group: Spell Card
Type: Spell
Send, from your hand or your side of the field to the Graveyard, Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on a Machine-Type Fusion Monster Card, and Special Summon that Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon). It gains ATK equal to its original ATK. During the End Phase of this turn, you take damage equal to its original ATK.

Using the Cyber Dragon in his hand and the two Dragons, he'd made one of his Fusions.

Chimeratech Overdragon

Attrib: Dark
Type: Machine/Fusion/Effect
Level:9
Atk: ?
Def: ?
"Cyber Dragon" + 1 or more Machine-Type monsters
This monster cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon. When this card is Fusion Summoned, send all other cards you control to the Graveyard. The original ATK and DEF of this card are each 800 x the number of Fusion Material Monsters used for its Fusion Summon. Each turn, this card can attack as many of your opponent's monsters as the number of Fusion Material Monsters used for its Fusion Summon.

It forced him to send away his Dark Resonator, but it was worth it. He had to chip away at Draco's Life Points somehow. With 4800 ATK, the hulking machine shot a beam at Colossal Fighter, destroying it before seeing it come back again. But at least, Lumis was able to deal a good amount of damage. He'd set to the End Phase and ended, not saying a single word, but taking 2400 damage from Power Bond's effect.

Lumis Raonlier

LP: 5600
Cards in Hand: 4
Cards in Graveyard: Terraforming, Geartown, Geartown, Reckless Greed, Heavy Storm, Power Bond, Cyber Dragon, Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon, Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon, Dark Resonator
Field Spell: None
Monsters: Chimeratech Overdragon (4800 ATK)

Draco feared that Lumis had game when he had summoned the second Gadjiltron Dragon. Brain Control would have sealed his fate. Thankfully though, Lumis had no effective way to bypass his lone Colossal Fighter but managed to summon a stronger monster to protect himself. The most obnoxious thing of all was that Lumis had destroyed his own Dark Resonator, a feet Draco failed to accomplish. As his opponent declared his attack, Draco took 1300 points of damage lowering his score down to 6700. A sharp pain shot through Draco's right arm when he took the damage, causing him to partially collapse temporarily.

That hurt! What's going on here? My arm . . . it's throbbing again.

Nevertheless, Draco tried his best to show no signs of pain across his face. He would use his will to put the pain towards the back of his mind and focus on the duel at hand.

"You did that deliberately didn't you? Destroying your own monster just because I failed to do so last turn. I'm going to make you regret that! I draw!"

Draco needed to find a way through that Overtech Dragon.

"I'm going to activate my Reinforcement of the Army Spell Card!"
Reinforcement of the Army

Normal Spell

Add 1 Level 4 or lower Warrior-Type monster from your Deck to your hand.
"I'll be adding my Dark Grepher to hand. I'll Normal Summon him to the field now."
Dark Grepher

* * * *

DARK/Warrior/Effect:

You can discard 1 Level 5 or higher DARK monster to Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, you can discard 1 DARK monster to send 1 DARK monster from your Deck to the Graveyard.

ATK: 1700 DEF: 1600
"I discard Destiny Hero - Diamond Dude in order to send Plaguespreader Zombie from my deck to the graveyard. Next, I'll just shove this card from my hand to the top of my deck to revive my Plaguespreader."
Plaguespreader Zombie

* *

DARK/Zombie/Tuner:

You can return 1 card from your hand to the top of the Deck to Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. If you do, remove this card from play when it is removed from the field.

ATK: 400 DEF: 200
"I don't really want to draw the same card next turn, so by removing my Destiny Hero - Malicious from play, I can spawn another copy from the deck. Since the deck is shuffled, I'll get a fresh draw next round."
Destiny Hero - Malicious

* * * * * *

DARK/Warrior/Effect:

By removing from play this card while it's in your Graveyard, select 1 "Destiny Hero - Malicious" from your Deck, and Special Summon it.

ATK: 800 DEF: 800
"You know what time it is? Time for another Synchro Summon! I tune my Malicious to my Plague to Synchro Summon Dark-End Dragon!"

You guys don't mind me copying Gouki's Synchro Summon text again do you? No of course not. The infectious zombie bursts into two circles of light while the Destiny Hero bursts into six spheres of light. The spheres get in between the circles, then a pillar of light shoots through them. Before long, a black dragon appears after the pillar of light ceases.
Dark-End Dragon

* * * * * * * *

DARK/Dragon/Synchro/Effect:

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner DARK monsters.

Once per turn, you can have this card lose 500 ATK and DEF, and send 1 monster your opponent controls to the Graveyard.

ATK: 2600 DEF: 2100
"I'll use his effect to destroy your mechanical dragon."
Dark-End Dragon

ATK: 2600 -> ATK: 2100

DEF: 2100 -> DEF: 1600
At once, the Dragon's hologram grew smaller in size and then Lumis's dragon was covered in a black pit of nothingness, before being removed from the field.

"I switch Colossal Fighter to attack position. I believe this is the end. I attack with my trio of monsters."

Colossal Fighter charged in with his fists again - this time his attack will not be denied. Dark Grepher closed in with his blade of darkness. Dark-End Dragon fired off a sphere of darkness towards Lumis. Only Gorz would save him now. And Kuriboh but who the hell runs that anyway?

Lumis could only watch wide-eyed as his Overdragon was destroyed and he'd seen his defeat. His eyes widened slightly as he watched the events unfold, but there was nothing that he could do. It was... game. And he would be presented with other things that he wouldn't enjoy soon enough.
