As Douken linked the situation to a president-hopeful, Akane's eyes flinched as she discretely took in every word he said. ...It did sound very much like her. The only differences were that she wasn't completely shut out of a social life, and that she hardly ever bragged, if at all. But all things considered, she was very close to meeting that same fate - so much so that she could sense it. Eyes closed, ".... ..." Akane sighed, taking a moment to soak everything in. "Mm. ...I will relax, no need to worry about that." She folded a corner of the open textbook's current page, then closed the book altogether, using that fold as a bookmark. "Once I get these problems sorted out, I'll be able to spend as much time as I like taking in the sights. We're here for a week, aren't we? So there's no problem, whatsoever." She consumed her dinner some more. |

He smiled, seeing her take in the situation. By how she was listening, though, she seemed she was putting herself in the kid's shoes. "Yeah, we still have time. Just wondering, how many more problems are left?" he asked, trying to look at the book. The paw was still in the way, so he moved it away to at least see the cover. I was most likely curiosity wanting to see than anything else. |

The textbook was that of Calculus nature. Akane nonchalantly opened the book to the saved page. "A few, but really, just two. ...Here." Pressing her finger over the first problem, she said, "This one involves natural parameterizations... for parametric curves..." then to the second set of questions a few pages over, "and these involve piecewise parametic representations. ...." She sighed, mildly annoyed that she was unable to fully understand them. "Just talking about them makes my head spin. ...I really feel like I'm forgetting something crucial, ...but I can't figure out what...." |

He blinked, looking it over, thinking, I shouldn't of asked... All he could say was, "Maybe you forgot to fill in a variable or did a formula wrong..." Not like he even understood what this al meant. "Sometimes, when I hurry along, I miss a step and can't get it right, but looking it over, i see what I missed... if that helps any..." His head was spinning just by loking at the book. "This is why you need to take a breather away from the books," he laughed. "A refreshed mind would see what was missed..." |

Akane closed her eyes, resting her head in the palm of her free hand, its arm's elbow propped up on her lap. "Unlikely... but the possibility's there.... .... ...." The Osiris girl looked around at the other students who were doing their own things - more-or-less behaving. He let off a small chuckle. "You make it seem like everyone else its impossible. What, are they talking about plans of evil and destruction?" he chuckled. "I am usually laid back about most things and do things at m own pace. Its makes change easier instead of focusing on one thing 100% of the time..." |

Though she really wanted to avoid the topic as if his last words were directed her way. Despite it not being entirely true, it still felt like a blow had been delivered. It didn't show, though. |

Douken laughed before reaching into his pocket and pulling out a folded paper, placing it in front of her. It was a map of Kaiba Land. "Well, if you are going tomorrow, best take a look to see what they all had," he said, handing it to her. |
