Getting around the streets of Silvershine isn't so bad now. It was very generous of the ex-owner of this to throw it away, and just leave the keys in the ignition. It was very kind, as Kai and Rou were getting tired of walking, and why not ride in style? Luckily, there were two motorcycles there with keys in them. Decided, Kai did leave Rou and Ms. Penguin with Ami, as Mr. Monkey was feeling worn out, and needed to get some sleep, the poor creature had been running around all day with the hyperactive, Ms. Penguin. The sun had already sat, and the The Delinquent and his monkey had gotten lost. It's not that hard to get lost in a city, at night to add to the problem. Is it? Stopping at an intersection, there was a commotion going on. "Move it people!!" he yelled at the stopped vehicles in his way. "We can't!" one yelled back, "Wait, why?" kicking his kick stand, allowing the bike to sit there without following, Mr. Monkey and Kai decided to see what was going on. Walking up to the window of a mini-van, assuming a mother lowered the window. "What's going on?" he asked, looking over at the other vehicles. "From what I've heard, a young woman was involved in an hit and run." Kai's head lowered, I mean, Silvershine is filled with a lot of Crimson Wind students this year, could it be someone he knew? "Okay, thanks ma'am." quickly, Kai ran to where the accident had happened, apparently. The lights that were shining on the accident, were bright.. "Ah... ****.." rushing over... "Rina!" quickly, kneeling down next to her. "What the hell happen?!" he asked in frantic, he then looked down at Aoi, confused and really worried, it seemed she had lost a decent amount of blood. By this time, Rina's smooth face was soaked in tears as she continued to pump life back into Aoi's body. Recognizing Kai's voice, but not removing her wide, vacant gaze from her fallen friend, she sobbed, "Aoi she--... she saved me... and-- .... ...." No further words could be forced out of her as she focused on CPR, trying to remain calm, to little avail. Rina had nearly died once, then Jey had seeming died because of her, and now, once again, because of her.... After giving Aoi some air... "Kai..." she muttered under her breath, continuing the procedure. "Help me...." |

Rina had again checked on her friend, but Aoi's pulse remained silent. Rina could feel the warmth from Aoi's mouth, serving as the final sign that Aoi had ever been alive. But her life was not returning. It was as if Rina's efforts were yielding no effect. Either unphased by or unaware of the red stains on her hands and knees, she kept trying. She had her determination, but determination alone wasn't going far enough. A faint hope existed - some of the witnesses had acted upon the redhead's request. A man in a gray suit, probably on his way home from work, stepped out of his car with his cell phone to his ear, placing the call for an ambulance. She made an appeal to Kai. Kai was resourceful, to say the least. Rina had seen this firsthand back at the Academy - he had improvised a barricade out of her bed. Surely he would be able to help in some way. She continued her efforts, not halting for a response from Kai. And as she did, she felt a weak, frail heartbeat returning to her friend's body. |

While looking down at the lifeless Aoi, he began to punch his head. "What to do, what to do!? he thought to himself, as he continued. Stopping, he looked around, noticing a man with a cell phone, probably and hopefully calling 911. The Giant turned his head to Rina, as she continued to try to pump life into Aoi. "Rina.." he grabbed both of her hands, from Aoi's chest. (OOC: Or so I'm assuming that's where they're at, since you're still doing CPR, right?) The Delinquent pulled Rina close to him, trying to get her to calm down and take a breath of her own, "Rina... Just.. Just calm down, okay?" when he pulled her closer, her head was to his chest. "I'll think of something.." he rested his head on hers, trying to keep her as calm as possible, although that's probably impossible right now. [OOC: Slight god mod? ;-; Imma trying to keep Rina calm, it's the only thing I could think of. DX] Looking around, while still resting his head on Rina's, the ambulance was taking way too long. Traffic, probably? "Rina..." he spoke, "I could get Aoi there faster than the ambulance can.." he told her. Kai is a damn good driver, he'd just have to "borrow" a vehicle.. And, probably end up in jail afterwards, unless the cops have a good heart, but not too likely. Kai only cared about getting Aoi to safety, even if she doesn't like him all too well. |

Startled by the taking of her hands by Kai, Rina tensed up as Shichiro brought her close to him. She blushed suddenly, and was about to interrupt his action, nervously thinking it inappropriate for the situation. ...Her heart began to beat progressively faster... until his words were lightly spoken to her. Her eyes acknowledged his words, and staring straight ahead once the side of her head reached his chest, Rina truely became aware of her panicked display. Being in such a state would cause more trouble for Aoi than good. ".... ...." Acknowledging the situation, Rina glanced at Aoi and took a deep breath... then another. She was ready to begin again with a cooler head when Kai offered to transport Aoi to the hospital. Taken aback, the redhead lifted her head from Kai's chest and stared at him. "To the hospital?? ...But how??" Knowing him, she really hoped he didn't mean simply carrying her. |

The sound of sirens could be heard more clearly now - likely ending any of Kai's plans to take Aoi to the hospital himself. He had apparently forgotten about the complications involved with moving critically injured people, or perhaps he had never heard that it could potentially make the injuries worse. Regardless, the professionals were here now. Finally, the chances of Aoi's survival grew from zero to... not good. But any improvement was more than welcome. The emergency team jumped out of the ambulance and raced over to Aoi's body. Some pulled out a stretcher from the back of the ambulance, the others crouched next to the fallen girl to check on her condition. A phrase sure to catch the ears of the duo, "She has a pulse, but I don't know how much longer she has!" They worked frantically to prepare her body for transport in the ambulance. One of the members of the team, possibly the leader, approached the two Ra students. As the rest of the team worked on moving Aoi onto the stretcher, he addressed the two. "I'll be honest - it doesn't look too good right now. But... she'd probably be dead already if you hadn't been here." He didn't wait for them long - it had taken only moments for the rest of the team to load Aoi into the ambulance. He got in as well, and the ambulance drove off to the hospital. Other vehicles had arrived - a group of police cars. It was a crime scene - and they did their best trying to keep the passing vehicles out of the area. They would surely want an official report from the witnesses. |

Rina was extremely glad to hear that Aoi at least had a chance to live thanks to their efforts. But nonetheless, hearing it from an "official" made her more fearful of the end result. ".... .... .... .... ...." Clasping her own hand for mental support, Rina watched as the medical team carried Aoi onto the ambulance, using the stretcher.... From this point on, Rina was helpless. But the redhead definitely wanted to be by her friend's side, hoping that it would be enough, to let Aoi know that she still had somewhere, someone, to return to. Unfortunately, before she could go anywhere, the police had arrived before the ambulance's departure. An official report would be needed, and when an official Silvershine officer approached her in a grey, almost-silver, police uniform, she was more-or-less forced to stay put and answer his questions. Rina was a tad shifty, though 'anxious' was probably the more suitable word. Though the report was important, she didn't want to be here; she wanted to be with Aoi. And since Kai wasn't around when it happened, there wasn't much he could explain to the cop, leaving it all up to Rina to be as clear as she possibly could. Once it was all over, the ambulance, with Aoi inside, was long gone. But before the cop would return to his colleague(sp?) near the cruiser, Rina stopped him, asking for directions to the hospital. Complying, he wrote down specific directions to Zenkai Hospital, those of which, Rina hoped to understand. He also provided her with a bus route, just in case, but he wasn't sure if the bus going near there was running right now. Rina had no idea Kai rode a motorcycle to this location, so bowing hastily, she thanked him and returned to Kai. "I found out where they're taking Aoi..., so I'm going after her." A look of determination burned from her eyes. One way or another, she was bent on getting to that hospital as soon as possible, even if she had to run there on nothing but fumes. Leaving Aoi alone in a building of strangers playing with her life was inexcusable. |
