The mysterious person opened the door to the nurses office. Vernon was still in a painful walk as he was now tired as well. They got to the closest bed to the door as the mysterious person sat him down on it. Thanks alot.... I don't think we were ever introduced. My name is Vernon, what might yours be? Vernon asked as they waited for the nurse. ((OOC: Who is the nurse?)) |

(OOC: Guess I will continue then.)) Vernon watched as the nurse came into the room. Why hello you two, what may be the problem? she asked. She quickly then noticed the blood still dripping from Vernon's leg. Oh, I see. What happened to you? Since Vernon had been looking from a head down position, she never noticed his red eyes. He continued this as he recalled the story from when he arrived. He then finally looked up at her to check what her reaction would be. It looks like you had a rough ti..... she began until she noticed his red eyes. She began to recoil a little but tried not to think much of it. Well, lets see what kind of damage we have here. she said as she grabbed a pair of scissors and cut his pants leg off. It revealed a large gash in his leg but no bone sticking out. She looked around it and deducted that the leg was not broken after all. Just severely cracked in a few places. She told him to stay still as she disinfected the wound and wrapped some bandages around it. She then took a cast and set it aside. Before we put the cast on and get you some crutches, we have to let the would heal a little. After awhile, I will replace the bandages with some new ones, put the cast on, get you some crutches, then you can be on your way. she said as Vernon still waited for an answer from the mysterious person. |

"The name is Kenichi," he pulled a chair and took a seat. "By the way, mind to tell me why you ran back to the train? I don't recall you saying about that earlier." Kenichi take a look at Vernon's bleeding leg."Guess you'll stuck here for quite a time," He then remembered that he's still holding the train ticket. He crumpled it and threw it dustbin. It missed, and landed on the nurse's feet, who had just entered the room. Kenichi cursed silently. "Sorry," Kenichi stood up, picked up the crumpled paper and disposed of it properly. Then, he remembered something. "I forgot one thing. There's something I need to give you," He took a large envelope out of his cloak and give it to the nurse. The nurse opened the envelope and take a look at it. " Kenichi Tenma, let see..," She gasped. "Oh my. But you look... Oh, I see. I'll keep a record of this." "Thank you," Kenichi replied, and took his seat back. Edited by Ienzo Takeda, Apr 16 2008, 03:15 AM.

Vernon was a little confused about what the piece of paper was but didn't think much about it for now. The reason I went back to the train was because I forgot about my duel disk. I heard about replacing them could take awhile and cost alot of money due to the technology it takes to make them and I just don't have that. All I have is the money I took from my parents when I left. Thats right, I am a runaway. I just couldn't take being in the lifestyle that I was in with them. So when I could, I packed the one case I had, which is still at the station, and left in the night. I had to ask directions for days to find the station. Once there, I boarded the train after everybody else and found a little area that I could be alone since I did not know how people would react to me being... different. I still am a little weary about showing myself around here. He then looked down at the bandage which was now red from the blood. However, it looked as though the flow had stopped. As for being here long, I don't think so. Maybe a little while longer and I can go find my dorm. And if you are wondering how I got the red eyes and hair, they are my natural colors. My mother was a scientist. While she was working with some dangerous chemicals one time, she forgot to wear proper protection and she ingested some of them which altered my genetic structure and game me the unnatural colors. So what is your story? |

"I see. But it is worth it to risk your life for something like that? You might get yourself killed." Kenichi said, apparently did not approved Vernon action. "I'm quite surprised when you charged at the train. For the moment I thought you wanted to go back home." Edited by Ienzo Takeda, Apr 17 2008, 10:19 AM.

Yes, it was worth it actually. I have accomplished nothing in my life and nobody would have even missed me if I passed on. My parents probably want to have nothing to do with me anymore and I have no friends. So really, I couldn't lose anything. Vernon said as he waited for the nurse to come back. |

Feeling annoyed, Kenichi rose to his feet, and grabbed Vernon's collar. "So then you thought death if the right decision. Have you stepped at the brink of death? HAVE YOU?! YOU'RE WRONG! DEAD WRONG!" he snapped. His right eye started to throb, but he didn't care. "SO WHAT IF YOU'RE A FREAK!" he continued," To think like that, obviously you never lost someone valuable to you! You did not know the torment! You did not know the pain it will cause," The pain become so unbearable, he had to let Vernon go. Staggering, he retreats, an old newspaper cut flew out from his cloak, and landed on the bed. He staggers back to his seat, bearing the immense pain. "You know, if you were to die," his vision blurring, his head throbbing with pain," somehow, someone will definitely feel sad about it," he failed to noticed the newspaper cut has landed beside Vernon. |

Vernon looked at Kenichi is shock. The reason I have not lost somebody close to me is because I never did have anybody close to me..... until now. During our time togeather, I have felt as though fate has come to let us meet. Both of us, alone, knowing what one another feels, can now be joined in friendship. And as long as we have each other's backs, we can survive this. Vernon then noticed the nurse come back with another set of bandages. She quickly changed them. You're coming along quite nicely Vernon. Let me get you a pair of crutches and you can go. She left quickly as Vernon picked up the piece of paper that was beside him. What is this?[/b] he asked Kenichi |

"When did that..." Kenichi paused, assuming that it might have fallen when he snapped at Vernon He sighed, he tried to hid it from others, but still... "Since you told your secret, I guess I'll tell mine then,"he paused waiting for the pain to completely subdue. "Several years ago, I was on a field trip with my friend. It was an unfortunate turn of events, because the bus we were on skidded and plunged into an abyss," Kenichi braced for the pain, but it didn't come."I was the sole survivor." He finished. "That's why, Vernon," he continued," I snapped back then. I lost all my the people that I can consider friends, and...." he put his fingers at his right face, covering his right eye "...and this," He paused. "Consider yourself lucky to have two eyes rather than be..." Kenichi couldn't finish his sentence. "No, Vernon. It is best if you stay away from me. I'm nothing but a jinx, bringing misery to others."Kenichi paused," You're a good person, but I didn't want you to suffer the same fate as my friends," he said. "I didn't deserved to have more friend, and doomed to be alone..." he said, clearly still blaming himself for the accident. |
