Takuya walked towards the Courtyard, looking at his PDA again. The message was easily traced from his PDA, allowing him to find the sender. "So you are those Ra's who sent me that PM..." Takuya asked, approaching five Ra Yellow students who wore strange emblems on the backs of their blazers. Taking a closer look, you'd realize that the emblems on the backs of the Ra Yellow blazers they wore was the head of the Winged Dragon of Ra. Just like the description in the PM Takuya had received. "Wha-?" one of them said, turning around. He saw a duelist with black hair, brown eyes, and an Osiris Red blazer. The one he had challenged! "What're ya doin' here?!" asked one of them. Judging by his speech, he must have been the one who had sent the PM. "I saw that the PM you sent was traceable, so I decided to find you. But I thought I'd be finding one, not all five!" Takuya said, acting shocked in a joking sense. "Well, we told you not to come yet. We didn't have time to disperse." one of the five admitted. "Dudes, its fine. I'll duel you all here and now!" Takuya said cheerfully. "All five of us at once?!" one of them blurted out. "I can't even do that. But how about one on one, until I beat all of you?" Takuya suggested. "Fine. We'll see just how good you really are!" the fifth one said, turning on his duel disk. "You'll regret that choice, buddy..." he added, as he shuffled his deck and inserted it into his duel disk. "Game on! You're going down!" Takuya said, as he mimicked his opponent. |

As the duel started, Takuya's first opponent allowed Takuya to go first. Takuya drew five cards. "Draw!" Takuya said, adding a sixth card to his hand. He frowned a bit. "All right, just this facedown will do..." Takuya said, as he set one s/t card to his field. His opponent drew and only set three cards. Takuya's lifepoints were unharmed. Perfect. "My draw!" Takuya said, adding another card from his deck to his hand. "I summon the Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab in attack mode!" Takuya said. The alien insect of fire from outer space appeared on his field. "Next, I'l discard my Neo-Space Pathfinder to grab a Neo-Space from my deck!" Takuya said, discarding his monster in order to obtain his field spell. "Let's go! Neo-Space!" Takuya said, turning the field in to a world of color and space. However, his opponent chained Dust Tornado. "Sorry, Traps won't work with Royal Decree!" Takuya said, activating his Trap card from the previous turn. The Trap stopped the Tornado his opponent had caused instantly. "Let's continue with Fake Hero!" It's gonna let me summon my Elemental Hero Neos to the field without tributing anything!" Takuya said, bringing out his favorite monster. "Now Takuya!" Neos's words came to Takuya's mind. "All right, Contact Fusion!" Takuya said, ordering his Flare Scarab and Neos to combine. "And here's Flare Neos!" Takuya said, showing his new monster. "Did I mention he gains 400 attack for every Spell or Trap out?" Takuya added, as his monster's attack increased to 5000. "Flare Neos! Direct Attack!" Takuya commanded, as Neos flew to the sky and charged up a flaming ball that it threw towards Takuya's opponent. His opponent felt the pain as he lost more than half of his lifepoints. "That's all for me..." Takuya said, ending his turn. His opponent said nothing as he drew a card, and defenselessly ended his turn. He had lost. "My turn!" Takuya said, drawing yet another card. "Flare Neos, finish it!" Takuya said, allowing Flare Neos's fireball blast to consume the rest of his opponent's lifepoints. The next three duels went in almost the same manner. A Neos Fusion came to the field and dominated the field. All was left was their leader... "Time to duel you now, huh?" Takuya said happily. This was it. He had done well so far. |

"I guess so..." said the leading Ra, scratching his head. "All right then, we'll see if you can take me down!" he said, turning on his duel disk and inserting his deck inside. "Yeah, let's go!" Takuya said, doing the same. "Duel!" "My draw!" said the Ra. "How about I go with this card..." the Ra began. "Solar Flare Dragon!" he said, summoning a dragon-snake of fire to the field. "I'll finish with two facedown cards." he added, setting two spell/traps cards onto the field. "Don't forget.." he said. "Solar Flare Dragon takes away 500 lifepoints in each of my End Phases." the Ra told Takuya, as his dragon shot a ball of fire at Takuya, reducing his lifepoints by 500. "Ugh..Fine. My draw!" Takuya said, drawing a card. He looked at it. Not bad... "I summon Neos Alius!" Takuya said summoning the card he just drew to the field. "Now then, Alius, destroy his Dragon!" Takuya said, as Alius went in to attack, but was stopped by a barrier. "Oh, sorry. I forgot to mention, I've got Gravity Bind." the Ra said jokingly. "Level 4 or above cannot attack this turn." "Damn..." Takuya said. "1 facedown for me..." he said, ending his turn. "Oh well, my draw!" the Ra said, drawing another card. "How about a second Dragon?" he said, summoning another to the field. "Yeah, and now I'll end with dealing you 1000 points of damage!" the Ra said, commanding his Dragons to hit Takuya. Another 1000 was lost. "Let's go!" Takuya exclaimed, drawing another card. "I bring out my Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin!" Takuya said, summoning a Neo-Spacian to the field. It's figure was a dolphin, yet it had legs, and was wearing boots... "All right, I'l discard 1 card from my hand to check out yours..." Takuya said, discarding another Alius to the Graveyard. "If I find a monster with less attack points than my Alius, it's destroyed, and you lose 500 points!" Takuya said, as Aqua Dolphin's sonar struck he Ra's hand, revealing it all. Swords of Revealing Light, Messenger of Peace, and Des Koala was in his hand. "Des Koala to the Graveyard!" Takuya said, as Des Koala was discarded and the Ra lost 500 lifepoints. "Guess I'll end with that..." Takuya said, ending his turn. "There's still no way to win!" the Ra said, drawing yet another card. "And what do you know? Solar Flare Dragon, to the field!" the Ra grinned as a third Dragon was brought to the field. "I'll also set 2 facedowns." the Ra said, setting what Takuya knew was Swords and Messenger. As soon as he ended, the Dragons struck his lifepoints again. "Damn! My draw!" Takuya said angrily, as he drew yet another card. "Let's go! I summon my Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird!" Takuya said, drawing a card he thought would bring triumph. "There might not be any card you've got in your hand now, but when you do, I'll be absorbing it!" Takuya said happily, ending his turn. "Ha, as if!" the Ra said, drawing his card. He looked and grinned. Mirror Force! "I set one more facedown and end my turn!" he said, allowing his Dragons to strike again. More than half of Takuya's lifepoints were now gone. (4500) "Damnit!" Takuya said to himself, drawing another card. He looked at it his hand. It was possible! "All right!" Takuya started. "Get ready for a Triple Contact Fusion!" he said, as he pointed at Alius. "I'll Gemini Summon his, making him my Neos!" Takuya said, as Alius transformed into a Neos. "Now go, Contact Fusion!" he shouted happily, as his monsters soared to the skies and combined. "Elemental Hero Storm Neos!" Takuya cheered. "Big deal... You still can't attack!" the Ra smirked. "Now I can't, but when I use Storm Neos's ability, I'll destroy every Spell and Trap on the field!" Takuya said, as Storm Neos flapped his wings to obliterate all Spells and Traps. Takuya watched as the Ra's Gravity Bind, Swords, Messenger, and Mirror Force were destroyed. Lucky! "Now then, I'l now use my Neo-Space!" Takuya said, using his field spell to turn the entire field into an atmosphere of color and space. "And with that, I'll equip Storm Neos with my Megamorph!" Takuya said, as Storm Neos's attack doubled. "Let's go! Lightning Vortex!" Takuya said, as he activated yet another Spell to destroy all of the Dragons his opponent had. "And now, with a clear field, direct attack!" Takuya said, as Storm Neos hit the Ra with a miniature hurricane. Enough to take away 7000 of his lifepoints. "I-I'm still...S-s-standing!" the Ra said, trying to stand up again. As he got back to his feet, he smirked as he still had 1000 lifepoints left. "Not for long!" Takuya said, revealing the Contact Out! in his hand. "Now, defuse!" Takuya said, as Neos, Air Hummingbird, and Aqua Dolphin appeared to the field. "Neos, finish it off now!" Takuya said happily, as Neos struck his opponent, reducing his lifepoints to zero. "Hehe...Good duel..." the Ra said, gasping for breath. "You're something else..." "Thanks! It was a great duel!" Takuya said cheerfully. He checked his PDA for the time. "Ah! No wonder I'm starving!" Takuya said as he ran towards the Osiris Red dorm for some food. "See ya later!" he shouted to the Ra. |

"That kid sure was tough Boss." a tall, slender Ra yellow spoke to an average sized boy with brown hair, a sense of disappointment in his voice "He'll make a great addition to Ra, and help us take down those mean old snobby Obelisks!" a short hyperactive kid spoke. "As long as I don't have to duel him again, I'm fine." a sort of fat kid sighed, still out of breathe from the trouncing Takuya had delivered. "So, now we send him that e-mail, right?" the way this Ra spoke, it sounded as though the voice box was being forced a certain way. The leader's PDA buzzed. He reached into his pocket. fishing out the device. He read the message outloud, as the other 4 gathered around him, staring at the tiny screen as he spoke: "I saw that duel from one of my cameras. It was truely an excellent show! Five of my best talent scouts were bested by a truly amazing Osiris student! A true underdog story! There is no doubt in my mind that he should be immediately promoted to Obelisk." The tall Ra looked around, and spotted a camera. Furiously, he picked up a rock and sent it to the lens. The camera erupted in a flurry of sparks, and then died out. As soon as the camera stopped, they turned back to the PDA screen, and the Leader continued reading. "Thanks to you great work, we can make sure all students are in their appropriate dorms, and all great talented duelists are recognized for the fine efforts at a higher education. - Crimson Wind Staff." The screen flickered off, as the Leader put his PDA away quickly. "Bested by an Osiris huh?" As the PDA was put away, a girl stood at the groups point of focus. Her white hair billowing in the wind, her red eyes reading each and every one of their's soul. "You should have seen it lady!" the loud, short hyperactive Ra said. "There were sparks and colours and rainbows and everything!" The white haired girl rolled her eyes, uncaring. "Five of the best Crimson Wind Ras should have been more then enough for a puny Osiris." she brushed her un-Duel Disk-ed hand through her hair. "I'd like to see you take him down girl!" said the taller Ra. "Oh, someone's mad." she said sarcastically. "We're not mad!" said the leader. "We're just... tired of ourselves not being recognized by Zaramato." He looked down, disappointed. "Boss has a point." the unusually forced voice Ra spoke, taking a step forward. "We're some of the best Ras in the school, and Zaramato still has promoted us." "I don't care." said the white haired girl. "My only concern is finding a rare card." She looked at the 5. "Hand over your decks." "Hey! we're not handing anything over!" the fat boy said, raising his disk in defense. "If you won't hand them over willingly, then it looks like there's only one course of action." She pinched her finger tips together, before thinking. Murder? Nah. Killing 5 students would cause a huge scene. Besides, a duel might be just enough to build up Billie's rage. "A duel. But I'm in a bit of a hurry. I will duel all five of you at once." The words echoed through the courtyard. A five on one duel!? Had the white haired girl gone mad? "8000 life points on my side, 8000 for your side." the white haired duelist stated the rules. "Winner gets the other side's decks." "Why should we risk five decks against your one!?" said the tall duelist. "You're the five best duelists in Ra Yellow, right?" the way she spoke was in a mocking, sarcastic fashion. "I already gave you a five to one advantage. Isn't that good enough?" "It's plenty fine ma'am!" the hyperactive Ra took a few steps backs. "Come on guys! We can definitely do this!" "... I'll do it if he's in." the forced voice Ra spoke. "If he's in then I'm in too!" said the fat boy, tapping the Ra with the unusual voice. A quite feminine gasp escaped the Ra that was tapped, as the two hurried to take their spot. "Come on boss! Beating this girl will make it all feel better!" the tall boy smiled at the leader. The leader smiled back. "Get your game on!" Their life points all hit 8000, as the duel was about to begin. "Ladies first." she curtsied politely with a giggle. "I'll set two cards facedown, and I'll summon Armageddon Knight!" The dark Knight emerged on the field. "I think I'll send my Destiny Hero Disk Commander to the grave." the Destiny Hero appeared on the field, before being sent to the field. "My turn!" the hyperactive one declared, an enormous grin on his face. "First I'll activate the super spooky Dark World Dealings! It causes each of us to draw a card, and then discard one! It's kind of wasteful, but there IS a point to all of it, after all." The other 4 in the group gave the boy a stern look, as if they felt they were throwing out their best cards. Every person drew, and every person discarded. Darknight Parshath, Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World, Birdface, E-Emergency Call, Alien Hunter and Des Koala hit the graveyard. "But wait! Now Goldd comes back!" the precocious little boy smiled, as his monster returned with a sinister aura. "Next!" The unusual voiced Ra's turn came up. "I'll summon Harpie Lady 1!" the scantily clad, buxom, half bird/half human monster emerged as a hologram. She then set her Icarus Attack trap facedown. She nodded at the fat boy's direction. "Huh? Oh yeah." Mildly distracted by the Harpie, he drew his top card and began his turn. "I'll activate Reinforcements of the Army to look for my Elemental Hero Stratos!" The white haired girl looked at her facedown Dark Bribe. "Go on." she declared. The fat boy summoned Stratos, searching for Elemental Hero Ocean. He smiled, as the turn passed to the tall boy. "I'll start with Alien Warrior, and once facedown!" the boy smiled, setting his Mirror Force trap. "And now for me! I'll go with Solar Flare Dragon!" The serpent emerged in a plume of lava. The dragon shot out a ball of fire at the girl, she was already down to 7500. The snow haired duelist's turn began, a smug look on her face. "Time to end this." What!? She couldn't possibly win this!? It had to be a bluff. The Ra's looked at each other. "I'll activate Trade In!" For the small price of a Darklord Zerato, the girl was granted two cards. "Now this!" Monster Reborn hit the field, as Destiny Hero Disk Commander returned to the field. She held 7 cards in her hand. "I'll sacrifice Armageddon Knight and Destiny Hero Disk Commander for Dark Magician of Chaos!" with her magician's effect, she brought back Monster Reborn. She then slapped down Monster Reborn for a second time, reviving DarkLord Zerato. "She's going to end this!" exclaimed the hyperactive kid. "Somebody stop her!" "She's not going for anything! Trap card! Icarus Attack!" the fat boy looked depressed as the unusual voiced Ra's monster was sacraficed. "Say goodbye to your 2 monsters!" The Ra's all cheered, they had stopped a critical move. The white haired girl held a non-effusive grin. "I don't think so. Dark Bribe!" The Harpie lady duelist was granted a free card, her sacrifice was for naught. "But wait, there's more!" She slapped down a third monster, Van'Dalgyon the Dark Dragon Lord. It roared, eyeing the Alien Duelist's facedown. It obliterated into a million fragments of pixels. Mirror Force was sent to the grave. "Now for my DarkLord's effect." discard a second Armageddon Knight was an easy decision for the girl. Zerato raised a sword, slicing through 4 monsters. The 5 duelist had an empty field, and were staring down 3 monsters with 2800 attack each. The 5 huddled together for support. "Finish them!" an untold fury in the girl's eye, as she mercilessly order an attack. The monsters all fired at once, as the group's lifepoints hit 0 at once. Her holograms began to fade, as she walked to the group. She would now removed them from their decks. "No!" shrieked the little boy, his duel disk snatched away with tears in his eyes. She took his cards, uncaring as she dropped the disk at his feet. "Come on! My grandma gave me this deck!" said the fat boy, his cards also taken. "Here." the leader removed his own cards, handing them over, a look of sorrow and disappointment in his eye. No matter how horrible it made him feel, he was a man of his word. "You'll never take them!" the girl grabbed the tall boy's arm, twisting it behind his back. He yelled and cried as his deck was lost. "Please! Can't we talk about this, woman to woman!?" the Ra's voice seemed much more relaxed now, and several octaves higher. She raised her hands in defense at Billie's advances. "Wait, you're a girl!?" said the leader, a look of confusion on his face. "Since when!?" "Settle this later!" impatience in her voice as the white haired girl grabbed the Ra girl's deck. She poured them into her backpack, preparing to sort through them at a later date. "If you ever want to duel again, well... nevermind, I guess you can't. " a sarcastic smile spread about her face. The tall Ra looked about ready to punch the girl in the face. "Come on guys..." the leader said, calming down the sad, enraged, scared group. "There'll always be more cards. Now we know our weaknesses, and what we need to improve on." He sighed, extending his hand to the white haired girl. "Good game." She looked at his hand, walking away disgusted. As Takuya walked past the Courtyard, a memory from just earlier today had come to his mind. Elemental Hero Neos... His favorite card... Granted him victory in all 5 of these duels. More importantly, there was also something that helped him out. Takuya started looking around for the camera that had ben in the Courtyard. If he found one, it would explain why he had been promoted to Obelisk Blue, and not Ra Yellow, the advancement that he had been expecting. In any case, Takuya looked around the Courtyard, eyes peeled for anything that might resemble or looking as though it was camoflaugeing anywhere. But Takuya eventually found it on top of the lamp posts near the Courtyard just a few minutes later. How obvious, how simple! And yet, Takuya did not think to look there to begin with. "Man, wish somebody actually came here to duel me... This is boring..." Takuya complained, looking up at the sky. He took a seat by a nearby bench, and sighed. |

"You seem awfully relaxed," a strong, feminine voice called from behind him, not too far away. She approached. With her school supplies and duel disk on hand, she folded her arms and looked sternly at the boy, who appeared to be an Obelisk. She was an Osiris, though, herself, but she knew what types of people made up the majority of the Osiris rank. Akane Tachimuka didn't like those who wouldn't strive for improvement. She also didn't like people who laze around during their free time, which was where the Obelisk Blue, Takuya, fit in, and before class, no less. Akane had completed her morning run and boxing workouts. She was on her way to the main building when she noticed Takuya. "I'd like to hear what claim you have for being so at ease. "Huh?" Takuya said, lifting his head. There in front of his stood an female Osiris Red. She said something about being at ease and not studying. Who was she? And was she serious? Takuya always enjoyed improving, but not by studying. "Sorry, but there is no substitute for experience, which is how I get better at dueling." Takuya answered simply. "But I didn't manage to catch your name..." Takuya said. "I'm Takuya Kuchiki, former Osiris Red member." he added. "And you?" |

"Hmph," was how her reply began, eyes closed. Hmph, introductions.... Introductions were important - she knew that - but she didn't see any reason to 'get acquainted with' the boy. But now that it has been brought up, she felt she had no choice. But then again, being the self-proclaim Student Council President, she realized that this was actually a good thing, as it was a chance to be known by one more student, even if it was a former Osiris. "...Akane Tachi--...!" !! Wait a minute! "...Hold on," she caught Takuya's words. "...Did you say... 'former Osiris?" He was an Osiris Red student before now?? "Yeah. Just moved up from Osiris to Obelisk around two hours ago...I took out my things from my room and everything. But I only did it for the awesome rooms and food.." Takuya admitted. He looked down at the clothing he wore. The Obelisk Blue blazer was not feeling right with him. "Anyways, as soon as I get back to my room, I gotta change back to my Osiris blazer. These kinds of blue blazers just aren't my thing..." Takuya said, taking off his blazer, and putting it on top of the back-holder of the bench. He also indicated to the Osiris girl to sit down beside him. After all: "If you're going to talk with me, might as well sit down and do it, right?" Takuya said with a smile.
