Takuya, what's with you and quoting wrong things? The part you quoted on the 24th posts has almost nothing to do with what you were complaining about.

And on that note, I agree with you. Lucksacks happen, and people shouldn't be auto-Osiris just for getting terrible hands.

Agree with 70% written 30% duel.

Though I will fail at making a nice exam :P

It doesn't even have to be that.

I just feel as though The written part should count much more than for a duel portion, but a duel should still be held. Though we still have problems with that...

Then again, problems are made for solutions.

I agree with Takuya's suggestion, as the written portion should definitely outweigh the dueling portion. And 25-30% for the duel is fine with me.

But my question is: if we do bring back the practical (dueling) part of the exam, what would the rubric for it be...?

Doesn't most of the "skill" in the game come from deck building anyway? Or would that be included somewhere in the written section?

That'd probably be somewhere in the written exam. Oh, but no, not rly. People can play their cards really well, but not build decks well. It's a rarity, but it does happen.

But that's only for the really skilled cards (... E-Con, Book of Moon, etc) which are more often then not avoided as the main-meta cards are what really wins games.
