The bell rang as Seican entered the shop, and the day was busy as usual... slightly. There were a lot of tables around with people doing table duels to try out cards and customers speaking with the employers on help with their decks. Seican recognized a couple of them since the Other Siders also come to this shop too. Quickly, there was a translation issue going on as he held the door open for the doctor.. "Hey worker, when he says 'Schwarz Kotflügel,' he means Blackwing. He wants to see the Blackwing cards you have." When the door closed, he just stood there, looking at the players. "Having to deal with different people, we have to learn many languages. Also, we usually have our disputes with duels. Its one of the big ways we settle things without pulling guns on each other..." He then let out a quick murmur, "There are times where I wish we played it as a game and not as gangs..." Edited by Douken Sota, Jun 13 2009, 11:50 PM.

[OOC: The German version of Blackwings is called "Schwarzflügel" Source: http://duel-masters.de/yugioh/sets/CRMS/DE009.jpg] --- Dr. Swebb wasn't the one to typically give up the reins, but in this case she did make a minor exception. After all, once he showed how truly unskilled at everything he was, maybe then he'd listen to reason. Charlotte had been put in charge of watching over a young delinquent. Formerly she was his teacher, but now it seemed more like she'd have to be some kind of surrogate mother to teach him how to behave like a normal young boy. She blinked as she looked back at the juvenille delinquent. She wondered for a second, what was her former daughter, Allison Katherine Swebb doing... But that thought quickly faded with the chiming of a bell, a set of wind chimes at the door which rang loudly as the door opened, warning the shopkeeper of any potential customers. She seemed surprised at Seican's outburst though. "Mr. Serroc I had no idea you spoke... uhh... German, if I'm not mistaken. I believe I only have a handful of German students. I doubt you'd all get along though." She took a more defensive stance however, the thought of being assaulted by such inbred hicks curved her typically quick witted toungue. She heard Seican's quite murmuring. "Ah yess... Duel Monsters, quite a... popular game it's become over the last few years. They've even built Academies dedicated to such a sport." A condoscending tone in her voice now. "And it just so happens I teach at one, Crimson Wind Academy." |

((All I did was translate "Black" and "Wing" XD)) "English, German, Spanish, and American Sign Language... All of them I had to learn in order to communicate with others. It was all information I had to take in to survive, so that's why I remember it a bit." His eyes took to watch a table duel which was very ironic being Elemental Heroes VS. Evil Heroes. "Don't worry, if any Othersiders do appear, they won't cause a public disturbance. Some even come to play normal games here to get away from the others and that street life." When he heard where she worked now, he asked, "So what happen to the old job? Too many students complaining about your teaching methods?" he joked. Part of him was hoping she could see he was joking, yet another would of seen her take it as an insult. "So then you are that school on the trip then? Heard it from a couple leads I have..." She gave him a dirty look, but decided to answer his question anyway. "After serving at the Wrong Side's Public School, I transferred to the Winchester Academy for Girls With Low Self Esteem for about a year or so. The pay was alright, but eventually the school was forced to shut down due to being underfunded. I was out of work for quite some time, until I found a flyer for Crimson Wind Academy." She blinked at his next few words. "And just what do you mean by leads eh? Those at my school are not spoiled little rich kids. We have our fair share of brutish thugs, and even the ones who you'd expect to be cute little princesses..." her thoughts turned to Sakaki Ahi in particular "are actually pretty fierce when it comes to dueling." Her blue eyes looked upon him, a sarcastic smile on her face. "By the by, you've no deck on you, correct?" |

He grinned when she stated how the students were like. "Now what what happened to that little "perfect student" thing you were talking about earlier? Who knows, you may have students that act worse than me!" He let off a hearty laugh. "As if there was such a thing as a perfect student since perfection does not exist..." When she stated being deckless, he replied, "Well you have my Skull Kingdom deck and the officers took all of my extra cards. So yes, I don't have a deck on me... anymore..." (OOC: Remember! Swebb was given Seican's deck by Officer... Smith.) "Well, there thugs by my standards. I have no clue how your little underworld hierarchy works. And though we're not perfect, we do try to better ourselves every day." She reached into her pocket, pulling out his beloved cards. A quick shuffle of it, before placing it back. "You'll not be seeing this deck for quite some time though." "And I know what you're thinking though, how can I call myself a lady whilst essentially stealing an item that belongs to you. However, I assure you that this is not the case. I fully intend to return it to you someday, however..." A coy smile. "However, you must learn from this experience and earn it." Her methods were as tough as any parole officer. |

((Thats still having it XD)) "Yeah, yeah, yeah," he said, smirking it off."I know what the ordeal is. If you didn't have it, it would of been in police custody and would of been broken down and possibly sold to this very shop. Well then doc, how can I earn my Skulls again? And would there be any chance of being able to use another deck? I mean, you work at a Dueling school. Kind of hard to teach one at that kind of school if the student has no deck..." |

"I already told you, I can't accept you as a student unless you're willing to learn." Her eyes were scanning over the counter, as she was absentmindedly point about at cards. "Besides, you've yet to even prove your dueling skills." Now standing in her perfect posture, she swiped a card on a nearby machine, a small beeping noise as she punched in four numbers, and was soon rewarded with 40 cards. She walked over to Seican, handing him the not-so-random pile of cards. "Don't shuffle it. It's specially organized." She sat down at the table, and motioned for him to take the opposite side, facing her. She removed her deck from the duel disk dangling from her arm. "You don't have a disk huh? Well, you can still duel..." She smirked, as she organized her own deck, not shuffling it. "We'll play a quick duel, and you'll show me what you know." Though truth be told, Charlotte herself didn't know too much about the game. |

He looked at the stack of cards given to him. Don't even let me see what I got? Well, it seems they made me a deck already, and I am stuck with what she gave... He then got up and sat in front of her, setting the deck for a normal table duel. "Let me guess, this is the deck you are issuing me, right? And I need to show what I know of the game with this? Well, I am sure you shuffle your cards, not organize them. Organization is the most obvious and cheapest way of cheating! With a father a huge cheat, I should know..."

"Of course I wouldn't normally organize my cards if we were TRULY dueling. Of course, right now we're not truly dueling. You don't want to be deprived of a chance to show what you've got just because of a terrible hand, right? Likewise, you wouldn't want to be up against no resistance when trying to show what you can do. Now enough of your complaining! Prepare to duel!" A serious scowl on her face as she drew an opening hand of five. <Insert some super epic duel here, with Swebb taking full command of the first few rounds, until Seican managed to turn it around and pull a win out of nowhere> A smug smirk on her face, as though she fully expected the match. "Naturally, just as planned. You kept your cool despite a relentless assault, along with a few definite skills. Perhaps you're not a complete lost cause." She smirked a bit more. "However, I still won't accept you as my student, or return your cards. Not yet at least." A serious expression now on her face. "However, my time with you draws to a close. I have other children to attend to, after all. You may follow me, though if I hear even one complaint, don't think for one second that Charlotte Swebb is going to bail you out again. Am I making myself clear?" Edited by Wilhelmina Hatcher, Jun 17 2009, 10:17 PM.
