Michelle locked her glance unto the eyes of her now cornered prey. It was strange to see him try and negotiate his way out of this predicament, bringing up some perhaps decent arguments... Yet it all meant nothing to her now; after what he had told her previously 2 things were entirely clear: 1- He was out of reality and surely mentally ill, as proved by his blatant mentions of what seemed to be hallucinations and strong signs of schizophrenia (Well known mental pathology). And 2- He did not show any remorse for the murder (Understandable because it was an imminent threat) but not only that, he seemed to enjoy what he had done... It somehow seemed that he would surely be capable of committing murder again, and that was enough to lock him up.

Michelle lifted her arm and gently ran her hand through the golden strands of hair that rested upon her forehead, pushing them backwards and out of her sight, lifting her head a bit in the process - But she would soon look back towards Gouki, it was time for her to answer.

-~Michelle~-
"Well Boy... My answer is the law <3, I don't make justice... Just follow it ^^, But I don't usually play cop and robber either! You can go ask Mr. Judge though... My opinion isn't so good here tehee <3, I'm sure you'll agree?"

The detective had answered Gouki's question immediately while maintaining a calm and rather dull tone of voice, despite the great confidence and strength he had put in his argument... Replying so quickly and calmly simply showed how little she actually cared about all he had just said.

In a sign of fatigue and lack of interest to continue fighting, the woman tilted her head to the side, placing her right hand under the right side of her chin, allowing her head to rest upon her palm; resting her elbow on her lap to support the weight. Her eyes looked a bit drowsy but remained focused on the target still, she didn't want to show weakness.

Gouki was starting to get infuriated by the interrogator. She avoided the demon’s question by simply saying to ask the judge as to why he must go into court or to withstand the mental work. The only way to find out was to make an assumption and believe it to be accurate.

“I told you that I have no reason to become a murderer. Sure I enjoyed killing that vile man, but he would sure to suffer the death penalty or if he was lucky he would get life in prison. Think of it as me helping the judicial system of not having to waste a court on such a disgusting human! I promise I will be a good boy if I can finally gain freedom from this incident! My fate is pretty much in your hands as you know I am enrolled in Crimson Wind Academy. And if that doesn’t convince you…”

Gouki reached into his pocket for the cheque that Draco wrote for him and took it out. After taking it out, the demon placed it right on top of the bed next to him.

“I am sure you could use this money. It should make up for anything that you lose from freeing me from that night. Right now you are similar to God, as you are to decide my fate since escaping from you and the law would be near impossible. Now tell me detective, what is your concept of justice?!”

The moment of truth had finally arrived, the once rather confident Gouki, murderous boy, had now began to resort to begging and attempted to bribe her, the latter being the only one that really piked her interest and perhaps possessed a certain chance of making the detective change her mind - It was really a strong offer for someone like her, whose main interest regarding her job was the economic part... But would it be appropriate to allow Gouki the live free? Was he truly sorry and intimidated or simply lying to her?. Those were the questions that kept her in unrest... But she knew a way to make this into a complete victory... A plan was secretly devised in her mysterious brain in a fraction of a second - A long term strategy that she would not reveal... As of now she would simply continue her act and get this part over with.

Michelle stood up from her chair, looking downward at Gouki in a rather threatening manner. Quietly and in the midst of the stunning silence and stillness of the room (Thanks to the tension) she took a few steps forward towards Gouki until she was standing right in front of him; she faced him for a few seconds before stretching her arm forward, grasping the piece of paper next to him and folding it in half.

~- Michelle-~
"Well~ I will be taking this <3 so nice ^_-"

She said as she retrieved said paper and placed it in a hidden bag underneath her sweater (sticking her hand down the neck area). As she took her hand out, a smaller and pink colored piece of paper laid trapped in-between her fingers, which she placed down over the bed while glancing at Draco with a confident smirk.

"This is for you ^_~, call me" (It was actually a business card with office numbers and such)

Following that, she took a last glance at Gouki, finally deciding to answer him.

"You knooow, Blasphemy is bad for you, tehee. I hope you remain a good boy like you said...*pause* Aaaaaand, I don't believe in justice ^^, but if I ever see you again... It will be very unpleasant~"

Saying the latter sentence in a quite threatening tone in contrast to her usual manner of speech strongly accented the importance of those threatening words, clearly she was not very pleased with the results of the day - there was even a chance that she would not get paid by the police for this job... Which really left her where she began... Either way she had to leave now, no more time would be wasted with the boy - she had a family to attend to.

Turning around, she slowly began heading towards the door in hopes of leaving the room. Upon reaching the structure she pressed down on the peculiar handle(common in hotels at least) and opened the door in front of her... Now she was just one step away from ending this mess.

All of a sudden, she turned around bearing her bright smile and cheerful eyes, waving at the boys like a friend that would leave on a long trip.

" Bye Bye~ <3"

It would seem that Gouki’s bribery strategy has worked as the detective accepted the cheque. After the officer gave a pink colored piece of paper to Draco, she said what sounded like a threat to the demon. After saying her good byes, Michelle left the hotel room. The red-eyed demon thought of how much of a sadistic ***** that the detective seemed to him. But fortunately for him in the end, the Demon of Hate is safe from the law for the moment. His direction was turned towards his blind roommate.

“What do you think about that story? You and that woman are the only ones to have heard it from my words. I have tried to not let it slip out as it brings back dark memories. I am sure that answered your question about my parents from that other day.”

Gouki got up from his bed and walked towards the bathroom while still expressing his depressed expression. Five minutes after the demon walked into the bathroom, he walked out with his sleeping clothes on and jumped onto his bed. His red eyes were staring at the ceiling, thinking of the events that just passed. He wondered what happened to his house that he used to live in. Perhaps it was sold to someone or just abandoned. Draco politely did not interrupt the interrogation between the duelist and the officer, which made Gouki wonder how he thought of it all.

Drakow made no response as interrogator and her prey exchanged words. Gouki tried several times to persuade the detective to release him. Michelle didn’t seem interested in what Gouki had to say really until his final attempt.

Bribery.

I activate my Dark Bribe counter trap! There’s no way you can refuse this!

It was to Drakow’s surprise when the detective accepted the cheque which was originally meant for Gouki.

What!? She seemed pretty determined to have her way as well. I suppose she might really need the money or something. I think there is more to it than just that though.

He reached over and picked up the pink business card that the detective had given him. Without assistance, the card would be useless to Drakow. Fortunately the Dark Spirit within his mind would be able to read the information for him should the need to extract the information come into play. He placed the card inside his wallet.

After issuing a rather threatening message to Gouki, she gave her farewells to the Dark Duo which Drakow responded with a brief nod in her general direction, and then she exited the room.

His attention turned to Gouki as he began speaking to him. Drakow didn’t respond and after a short period of time, Gouki entered the bathroom and changed into his night attire.

What question is he talking about?

...Didn't your parents ever teach you any manners?...

An expression of pain had revealed itself onto Drakow’s facial features but Gouki was not around to see. His solemn expression returned shortly after.

... I would have never said that if I knew about his circumstances. Dammit to hell! I remember how his attitude dispersed temporarily at that time. I must have caused him pain when I said that... No wonder he acts the way he does. He lost the love from his parents in one tragic event. Perhaps the only way he was able to continue living after the death of his parents, the only way he was able to accept their deaths was to live with his hatred. And that is very saddening because he has shut himself away from many wonderful things in the world.

Gouki emerged from the bathroom and Drakow decided to follow suit and get changed into his night clothing himself and brush his teeth. He soon came back into the room and placed his body onto the bed so that his chest was facing the ceiling. His body was straining to stay awake. The battle from the Dark Dimension was truly beginning to take its toll on Drakow’s body and mind. He wanted to just sleep now.

But he wouldn’t.

Not just yet. Not without answering Gouki first. He would have to approach his roommate with caution as not to cause any additional stress on either person. He decided to answer him in reverse order.

“Firstly I would like to apologize for what I said about your parents during our visit to Kaiba Land. Had I known about your circumstances back then I would not have said such a thing. As for your story, some aspects are more believable than others to say the least. If it wasn’t for a certain event that triggered recently, I probably wouldn’t have believed your entire tale. Rest assured your secret is safe with me. That is a promise and I do not go back on my word. I am feeling really tired but if you have anything else to say, I’ll permit you to ask me one last question before I go to sleep.”

Gouki heard his blind roommate ask for forgiveness about asking about his deceased parents and mentioned that his story had some unbelievable factors. The Demon of Hate had no reply to these words. Eventually Draco also asked if the demon had any questions to ask before both duelists call it a night. The black-haired demon had no questions for the moment and knew that the RP topic was overdue.

“At this moment I have no questions to ask you. With that out of the way, how about we put an end to this subplot already?”

With that said, Gouki closed his eyes as his body relaxed on top of his comfortable bed with his head rested on top of his pillow after clicking off the lights. Soon after, both duelists fell asleep to replenish themselves for the next day. This day surely made the demon tired.

Drakow only barely heard the response from his roommate as his consciousness began to fade. He gave a small grunt of acknowledgment before getting some much needed sleep.
