(OOC: Er... light god modding here as well.)

Billie smiled, a task the pair had used to do back when they were kids. After their morning lessons and a light lunch, the kids would be taken, usually by Sister May, and be allowed to run around and act like silly little kids for a while.

Of course, to accurately stare at clouds, both participants have to be lying down in order to get a full view over head.

"H-hey Dante..." she blinked, sitting up straight. "You know... we've been through so much and I just wanna say that..." a dryness in her mouth, a nervousness all around her.

"I... uhh..." She blinked, whispering faintly. "I l-love..." she looked at Dante, completely oblivious and unserious at all to any of her rambling. He said something about a cloud that looked like a bunny rabbit.

She faintly followed his fingertips, noting he was pointing at a plane. "Bread..." she ended. "I love bread."

She blinked twice, realizing she hadn't answered Dante's question, before responding with "bread" A somber tone in her voice. "It looks like bread."

we've been through so much.... and she loves bread. Well of course she does. "Well of course you do, Mina. This is some fine garlic bread! Where'd you get this, anyway? It almost tasted home made... just like back home. " He took another bite with a very satisfied smile. "And that 'bread' in the sky there.... Yeah, that's a plane." He laughed at her, but not in a mean way. "You've been distracted lately, Mina. You haven't even found a way to screw up this picnic like you usually would." He was only making an observation -- and perhaps not the best choice of words with it.

"S'pose I should be glad for that much -- I'm having fun, anyway. So, what's got you so hot and bothered lately?" He put a wry, teasing smile on. "Some boy giving you trouble? Want me to rough 'im up for ya?" Granted, the idea of the 5'1'' german lad "roughing up" anybody would be a sight to see, but he meant his words. He was small, but he was quick -- he hoped.

(full of shortness phail -- like Dante!)

(OOC: Dante! It's evening!) 0_0

---

"!"

A little bit of a shy turn away as Dante mentioned something about boy trouble, in truth, she couldn't recall the last time she had seen her antagonists, Miss Shingetsu, Mr Rev... Smith... or any of the Knights of the Sun God.

"N-no." she stammered, a little high pitched and a smile that he'd go to all the trouble for her, eyes closed as she rubbed the back of her head. "E-everything's fine." And though the words escaped her lips, and it was 100 percent true, she didn't feel fine.

"H-hey... it's getting late. We should probably head back to the h-hotel."

She said everything was fine, but the stutter suggested thigns to the contrary., He guessed it was true; Mina really was changiung. A lot, it seemes. The last four months that they had been here saw crazy changes in their relationship -- somehow, Dante still seemed to get into the same misadventures with her (most of which, of course, inbvolved cross-dressing), but for some reason, it felt... different. He could sense the dynamic shift. Mina had changed, and Dante was still, just... Dante. She was getting smarter, and stronger. She was a big girl now: Perhaps not in the chest, but she was trying to handle her issues on her own, and that had to count for something, right?

Mina said they should leave, but Dante's arm snaked around her. "Nu-uh, you're not getting away that easy," He was comfortable and happily smiling, as always. "C'mon, it's getting late, like you said -- but before the dark, we get a sun set worth staying out for." It was true. Dante's gaze fell upon the horizon, the clouds turning a vague pink and pastelle oranges, vibrant purples as it fell below the skyline. He felt no need to leave yet. The night wasn't too cold, the blanket was comfortable, and he could spend more time out of the small rooms the ras stayed in throughout the course of this trip.

Her cheeks turned as pink as Sakaki's hair as Dante placed his arms around her, imploring her to stay. Weak at the knees, she found herself unable to resist as she sat down, rather close to him.

The golden hues of the sky were overwhelming. A beautiful richness of lights emanating from just beyond the horizon. Her bright red eyes gazed upon the sunset, a smile spread about her face.

Such a beautiful perfect moment after a fun day with her closest friend. This moment counldn't possibly be ruined.

She looked over at Dante, leaning in rather closely. "H-hey Dante..." she smiled. Her heart was beating hard, and she could feel herself breathing extra hard. "You know how we've known each other... and can say practically anything to each other, r-right?" She leaned in closer.

"Well..."

She was close to him, and he didn't mind, and the sun fell slowly, and again, he didn't mind. Mina got closer to him, and still the boy had not a care int he world, as the sky slowly darkled, revealed a star, the first to come out. Mina leaned into him to speak, almost too close now. Dante was her best friend, perhaps, but he did have a bubble. She said his name, and he looke dat her. Their faces were so close. He could feel the moisture in her breath on his warm lips. His mouth parted instinctively, he didn't know why... He could smell the remnants of the picnic on her; the watermelon, the grapes, and...

"Um... Mina?" He cut her off, mid-se=ntence. "I think... I think you could probably use a mint." He was looking away from her now, the strong scent of garlic overwhelming from so close a distance. "You, uh... You got any on you? I think I have some back home..." By home he meant the Ra area for the field trip.

Her face turned bright red. Even in the fading sunlight, it was easily noticeable. Feeling her cheeks ignite with redness, she pulled back, attempting to hide her embarrassment.

"Stupid stupid Mina..." she softly whispered to herself, tapping the side of her head nervously. "Eating garlic bread and then leaning in for a kiss!?"

Only now realizing that Dante was still rather nearby, perhaps even within earshot, unless his attention deficit hey look a bird! Fly away birdy... "I wish I could fly away..." she muttered.

The last rays of light hid behind the curve of the earth, beyond their event horizon, the moments of sunset were gone in an instant, giving way to night. Their perfect romantic moment, ruined.

"R-right..." she adjust her dress before standing up, only to make sure Dante couldn't catch a peek. She began packing away the empty containers. "Going home..." She fought back tears, her back to Dante to make sure he couldn't see her face.

Mina turned visibly red, but Dante was far too focused on a bird a few yards away to notice. hop, hop, hop. It was late for the birds to be out, but this one, it seemed was a -- hey, what did Mina just say? Something about missing. What had she missed? Oh well, he figured it wouldn't be a big deal, if she wasn't going to talk about it. In the more recent months, Mina truly had come into her own, Dante found, as a stronger, better person, far more capable of handling herself than ever before. It was a new trait for which he held a lot of appreciation. Thsi school had been good for her after all, and hey, what was Mina doing?

He moved forward, trying to kneel by her side -- Not because he sensed she needed some kind of support, but because he wanted to assist her cleaning up. "You're going home? Yeah, it's getting late, I suppose that'd be a good idea... You uh... you want me to help you clean up?" Already, he was reaching out for this or that, prepared to throw the biodegradable watermelon rinds elsewhere, preferably somewhere out of everyone's way.

He could tell that something was wrong: This girl was his best friend, and never had her back deliberately turned like that... Unless you wanted to count the time she decided to play surgeon with his "action figures," and decided it best that he not see her with half a barbie in her hands. He toyed with the idea of asking her about it, but he had faith in her: As strong as she had gotten, who was he to think she needed his help? For anything, anymore? Maybe she didn't need him anymore... Was he not being the friend he should? Regardless, She seemed to be keeping things from him -- much more than he could ever remember before. Why could that be? Was there something wrong... between them? Anti-confrontational, or maybe just plain lazy, Dante decided he would need to pay closer attention to the.... um... What was he just talking about?

How can you hide your thoughts from the one who knows you best? As anyone can tell you, it's a difficult, nearly insurmountable task, but how can you tell them their source of your grief?

Noting Dante was approaching, she attempted to compose herself. In the dark of night, she might just barely be able to pull it off. (No jokes, please.)

Finishing packing up. She attempted a smile. "I h-had a wonderful time." she spoke.

"C-Come on. We got to go to the hotel."

[I assume that's the end of the scene, since the RP day ends today. <_<]
