A million different thoughts raced through Brett's mind, shaking. Had he not recently gone to the bathroom, he probably would have made a mess of his trousers as well.

As Rou finished with his little tirade, Brett shook on the ground, scared and crying. His stomach was in knots.

"Y-y-y-your penguin w-w-w-" He could barely even manage. But then again, this guy clearly seemed like a huge jerk anyway.

To Brett, Rounin Nagasaki appeared to be the kind of bully who likes to start trouble for no reason, even when everything is working perfectly fine. He was the kind of guy who would probably drop kick someone in the face just for existing. The type to sneak into secret, off-limits places just for the sheer thrill.

In one way, Brett Parker hated the boy with every fiber of his being, every beat of his heart, and every nerve cell pulsating in his brain. On the other hand, a part of Brett probably secretly longed to be like Mr. Nagasaki. To have such confidence and strength, two traits young man Parker had absolutely no skill in.

"Uhh... uhh..." still tearing, still very much shaken, he could only weakly nod. If it meant getting out of a beating, he'd do it.

[INB4 "Room 202 - Brett and Lex"]

Scratching his head and exhaling deeply, Lex Adams opened the door to step outside.

He had known Brett was at the door, but when the door closed without any follow-up sounds of motion within the room, he deduced that either Brett was standing by the closed door, which people don't usually do without some reason, or outside of the room, itself. After about 10 seconds, he got up from the comfortable bed and began walking towards the room's exit. He didn't see the brown-haired boy in the vicinity... so he was likely in the hall. "Was he already set to go...?" Lex asked himself with mild grogginess. It wasn't long before he heard a voice out in the hall, however muffled. "...? ...." He was going to open the door to see if Brett had already gone, or if he was conversing with a fellow student.

This leads us to the present situation.

Lex opened the door to step outside, scratching the back of his head and exhaling deeply all the while. His eyes caught sight of Kai, whom, during the past 2 months, Lex found out was one of Ra's rejects through another Blue student, not that the blue-haired Obelisk had anything against the black sheep of the Yellow dorm. ...Of course... this situation that was unfolding before Lex didn't help matters. Rou, whom he had (likely) met on several occasions, was also here. The two of them were towering over the little guy to the point where it seemed like a mugging would soon take place. Add to that, the fact that each of those two carried an animal on their respective shoulder, this just looked odd more than anything. But from the look on Brett's face, one would doubt he was even mildly intrigued....

".... ...." Lex's eyes narrowed, slightly curious in an 'I've got a bad feeling' kind of way.

"Hey," he said to the duo, looking between them, "...first off..., 'good morning." Though from the tone in his voice, it didn't seem as such. "Secondly..., you guys look pretty imposing, standing there like that." He glared at them. "...Is there a problem? ...Or am I just being paranoid...?"

Rou raised a brow at the kid sitting in the floor, and saw the tear-stained face, the presumably horrified expression. He listened as the boy stuttered out his excuse, and Rou knew that he wasn't precisely lying as to his reason for kicking his penguin, and he realized that it was a perfectly justifiable action. However, that did not make him any less certain he had done what needed to be done.

Then a disturbance came from Brett's room, as his roommate seemed to have decided to join the party, and he didn't seem entirely too pleased with the position Brett was in. Rou grinned hearing his voice, glad that someone had joined, and stretched his neck, cocking it to the side, and popping it several times. He let out a small sigh of relief, and then turned his grin over the the Blue haired blue.

"Hey Lex," said Rou with narrowed, but nonaggression eyes. His smirk was broad, and his confidence seemed to be almost excreting itself from his skin, and into the air. It loomed around him, a bright aura of self-assurance that made aggression toward him seem futile. Silently, Rou mockingly considered Lex's question as he ran his fingers through his chocolate brown locks, pulling loose any clumps, and pushing the strands into their preferred places.

"I wouldn't say there's a problem, my friend. Not anymore, anyway," he said with a sly grin, glancing down toward Brett. "I'm just going to have your friend here make amends for assaulting my penguin. Why don't you just not worry about this, and head downstairs for breakfast? Swebb was hoping that we'd all be down their in time, and you're gonna be late."

He then glanced back down to Brett, and took a few steps closer. He now stood roughly two feet away from Brett, towering over him, Rou bent his knees, lowering himself to a crouching position. He rested his elbow on his knee, and his smile broadened to encompass his entire face. He leaned in closer, until his face was only a scarce couple inches from Brett's own.

"Now then, you're going to do as I say, and make it up to me for kicking my little friend. Aren't you, Bretty-boy?" he asked in a somewhat more gentle voice.

"Sorry." Ignoring Kai for the moment, Lex approached Brett and Rou. If this took long enough, Brett and Lex would have to find out the details of the meeting through those who went. But it shouldn't take that long.

Once in position, crouching as the tall one did, after a short sigh, he shifted his eyes toward Rou and uttered in a low tone, "I don't approve." Momentary silence surrounded the blue-haired young man.

"...I may not understand what happened... but whatever the case, I'm willing to bet that he didn't mean any harm. He doesn't strike me as one to act out aggressively." He paused. "I also doubt that it was bad enough to force him to do whatever you want. ...Of course..., kicking a pet isn't a very nice thing to do, either. ...." Lex shifted his eyes to Brett, this time, lightening up on the narrowed eyes, giving it a more nonchalant-type glance. "Fortunately, it looks alright. ...Did you apologize for kicking his penguin?"

He nodded at Lex's words, agreeing with him. Clearly, his much calmer demeanor would allow him to express much more fluidly then Brett's own crying and barely audible yelps.

However, before long, Lex changed his point and seemed to be attacking the Osiris once again. He could feel the knot welling up in the pit of his stomach again, as his former saviour turned his sights on him.

"Uhh..." Brett could still barely speak, mouth hoarse from nervousness, as he just about sweated a gallon off his brow, thought still a ways off from dehydration so nothing to worry about there.

"H-h-h-he didn't-" Brett stopped. He couldn't lie here and say he didn't get a chance. After all, he was given a chance to make amends, by stealing Professor Swebb's 'panties and bras', whatever that meant.

"I..." he paused, swallowing hard. "I'm going to g-get something f-for him." he nodded weakly, paleness spreading on his face. "Uhh..." right now, Brett just wanted to go back into the dorm room and lie under the covers.

"G-go on w-without me Lex." he muttered, eyes cast on the ground. "I wanna lie d-down. I f-feel a little s-sick." And that was an understatement. Agreeing to Rou's task to avoid a major pummeling, it all just seemed so unfair.

Still sulking, he entered his and Lex's room

[To: Room 20...1 I think?]

".... Alright...." Lex casually watched as Brett walked back to the room. He honestly wanted to ask what Rou wanted him to retrieve. Couldn't Rou have handled it, himself? Not knowing the situation, that's what Lex thought. Something wasn't right at all, and it was painfully obvious, too.

Lex stood up, and as Rou and Shichiro departed, he eyed them silently, believing he'd have to confront them in Brett's defense, sooner or later.

...Hopefully it won't have to come to that....
