[Intro: Xenneth and Parfaye] A structure that reached to the heavens. The blue pair of eyes had never thought that they would be staring at a cloud that was only a reach away in time. He felt as if he could stretch his hand and jump that he would reach it, but he did not. He was realistic, so he was simply satisfied with smiling towards the thought of how close he had been. He tilted his head to the side making the light in those gem blue irises shift while his smile had remained a constant. ”I swear…you‘re more annoying than before.” A voice had interrupted his dreamy state making him turn his head to acknowledge the sight. His eyes reflecting something that seemed so you, but now hard to believe was filled out. It was not the proper way to think of his sister, but it was not like anyone would notice that form in her kimono. ”You‘re more of a ditz than you were before. It‘s only the sky, nothing special.” His chin lowering and head setting to finally properly gaze unto the figure with a smile. His hand had retreated to his lap, right over left, in a noble fashion as he bowed his heed before reeling it back. ”Parfaye! Good morning my sister!” he had said before letting his eyes sit upon the young woman. His attention going from her, back to the sky as he had noticed the sight of the sky above him. He peered into the infinite blue yonder that was mixed in with the white clouds that made it seem like a treat toppled with crème. ”I guess the sky is nothing new for the wings of a Harpie, but for someone who is as plain as I, the sky is quite an intriguing thing. You see…humans can not fly on their own…nor do we have wings.” Xenneth had taken his right hand and coveted his mouth as he let out a sound chuckle. That trademark laugh that came out like a giggle was still an annoyance to the ears of the harpy that stood before him in a guise. She had breathed in making somewhat of a huff as her D-Cup sized breasts had been lapped over her arms that folded at that instant. The wide and saggy sleeves of her kimono had hung limply while she gazed at Xenneth, looking him over with only a left eye while the right was coveted by a tuft of hair. The Black path strap not apparent because of how she had it coveted. ”Well, duh…” she had replied to Xenneth, ”…I know that. Call it a consequence of overseeing your growth before coming back to this world. You‘re not exactly the best company for me; a matter of fact, you‘re the last company I would ever want.” Xenneth had not taken those words to heart. A matter of fact, he had simply let out that small “giggle” once more as his right hand covered his mouth. His shoulders bounced as if it was the most hilarious thing he had ever heard. ”Even if that is so Parfaye, I shall still love you no matter what. You have brought me back to this world, and even taken my mother‘s order to watch over me. I‘m sorry that this task was forced upon you, but I hope we continue to grow together as brother and sister. Well…even if you should age quite faster than me considering the years that differ between a human and a bird.” Parfaye had sighed, her shoulders rising as she inhaled. Her mouth was opening as if another insult could fly out, but instead, she let out a breath of air while staring down the young violet haired male. ”Right…” Parfaye had not to bother bringing up the subject that it was the young boy’s mother that set up everything: The House, the arrangements, the funding. She did not force Parfaye to do anything. Willingly, the Harpie Sister had grown with the boy back at their Shadow Manor home that was now since Abandoned and never to be disturbed. The very rings that Xenneth wore at that wedding had been slipped off his finger and held by the lone mother. She was still a woman who was banished hence her duty, so those very rings that were a symbol of order were back where they belonged, Egypt. He had nothing to worry about anymore, and with his home now settled in this world, and his mother taking the other half of the family and living in harmony else where in that deserted place, he felt happy to know that she was not as far as another world, but instead, she was here. He did not feel like a hero, but rather that he had done something right. ”This means that things can be normal again…I guess. I should…really get back to school.” The brow of the Harpie lifted as she had taken a step forward. The Kimono she wore catching the high breeze of the altitude as well as flowing with her movement. Her expression curious as if to ask “why” seeing that not only did she not understand why he would go back to such a place, but rather why did he not know of the situation at the school. ”Why go there?” the Harpie asked making Xenneth’s lips part in a slight confusion. His eyes staring in wonder towards Parfaye as she gave a twist of her neck to face that same sky that the young boy stared at moments ago. ”That school is having some sort of event for now. I think they are coming to this place. Your mother has requested that I look after you for now, so when its time for you to return to the Academy, I imagine that it would be more simple to do so when their field trip is over. Besides, its not like you‘ll have a lesson. You‘re a School Nurse and we have already arranged your leave of absence.” Xenneth was a bit intrigued. Honestly, he had no idea that his mother knew how to pull so many strings from that Shadowed world, but it seems like she did so as if her attitude was saying that “This is my repentance for those years missed with my child!” Everything was taken care of, for all of her children. Xenneth could not be anymore happy. He had three sisters, a loving mother, and his life seemed like it was back in control. He bowed his head once more, grateful just as much as the last. He had kept a cheerful expression that made Parfaye grit her teeth at the corner of her mouth and her lips parted to show her disgust towards the taken brother. It was to hide what she truly felt as all: acceptance toward him being apart of the family, or that’s how denial placed it to her seeing as Xenenth was the true child to the woman she adored. ”Thank you, Parfaye.” Xenneth had said fondly with another smile. ”I‘m sure I‘ll have fun. I shall go into town and see if I can find my friends later, but what will you do?” The Harpie grunted after looking the boy over. His white sneakers and pants that were sitting because of his black belt. He wore a white jacket while keeping that ridiculous diamond charm snapped onto his single flat braid. He had not changed much. If anything, he was much more nice, maybe even pure in an innocence since seeing he was not as nervous anymore, but one could not deny his sweet nature. ”Count me out of your friendly reunions. I‘ll be looking forward to doing ‘that‘ if you don‘t mind.” she had said. ”These ‘Night Clubs‘ that are in the city seem like more of my thing. I guess I‘ll be there later. In the mean time, I guess I‘ll go rest til‘ then.” Xenneth had watched as the Kimono had glided in the air as Parfaye moved slowly towards the tops penthouse apartment’s structure sliding back a door before she had entered and closed it behind her. She was not mindful of Xenneth’s presence seeing she could care less of what he did. The young boy had let out another sound “giggle” to himself watching Parfaye. ”If there‘s one thing I‘ve learned from our time together Parfaye…” he had said lowly with his hands cuffing his chest affectionately…. ”It‘s that I can feel your true emotions…just like you can feel mine.” His feet glided across the penthouse’s top as he moved with ease to follow Parfaye. He would wear the clothes he had now to see the friends he had upon the island that would soon be here. He only hoped that within two months, they all had not forgotten about him completely. Even so, he would not mind rekindling those friendships again. |
