Takuya exited the monorail, and took a deep breath. After all of what happened in the summer, it felt good to feel relaxed, if only for a second. He put on his Osiris Red blazer, his duel disk, and made sure his deck was in his deck box, attached to his belt. Hew picked up his carry-on, as he was told his suitcase would be sent to his dorm room. As he walked on the monorail station, he took another deep breath. It just didn't feel right. He took out his "Elemental Hero Neos" card from his deck box, and looked at it "What to do now, Neos?" Takuya sighed. The spirit of "Elemental Hero Neos" formed beside Takuya, however, it's mind was lost in the sky. "What's wrong, Neos?" Takuya asked his card spirit. Neos said nothing, but continued to look at the sky. Almsot as if something was troubling him. "Neos...Is there something wrong with outer space?" Takuya asked. Neos snapped out of it, and looked at Takuya. Must've just been wandering. It shook it's head, and disappeared. Takuya just sighed, and put "Elemental Hero Neos" back into his deck box. He exited the monorail station, and continued walking. "Well that was a bit weird..." Takuya said, as he thought of his ally. No, his friend. |

Kago walked onto the train platform. He thought perhaps after such an extravagant lesson that a nice site-seeing trip would do some nice. He was glad that he had his gadgets with him to trust in. However, since the end of class, he had felt something dark come over him. It was a sense of power, and to some extent, corruption. He knew what was aligned with the color black, and wanted best to avoid it. However, it kept enticing him. His gadgets felt that something was wrong, but they couldn't do much about it. Takuya looked at the person who had greeted him. He was somebody in his late teens, so he must have been a student. And judging by his attire, he must've either thought he was too good for the dress code, or he was probably an Obelisk Blue. In any case, Takuya decided to respond. "Yes. I am Takuya Kuchiki. I'm a new student at Crimson Wind Academy." he said. But Neos had appeared to Takuya's side. "Takuya...Something in this boy seems odd..." "What do you mean?" "Nothing. Just befriend him, and remember to show him what true dueling is..." Neos said breifly, as he vanished again. "Well then, what do you say on being friends?" Takuya asked, outstretching his hand for a handshake. |

Kago took the boys hand and shook it. "Sounds good to me," he said with a smile. "So what made you decide to come here?" He could sense something about this one. Takuya shook the boy's hand, and then let go. After that, he was asked a question. "Sounds good to me...So what made you decide to come here?" This could've been easily answered with the general "to get better" reason. But Takuya didn't come here to become better. He had come here to have fun and assist Neos. And with their combined power, nothing could go wrong. "To become better and have fun, just like veryone else." Takuya said, covering up his real reason. It'd be best if everyone thought him as a regular student. After all, standing out isn't what you want to do when you're at a new school. A low profile would be key. "So then," Takuya said. "What's your name?" |

After hearing the student's name, he smiled. But then, Kago said that he had felt a strange presence around Takuya. Was it because he could see duel spirits? In any case, there were known people out there who could see duel spirits, so telling Kago that he was one of the few wouldn't be so insane. "Well, yeah. See, I can see duel spirits." Takuya told Kago. Hopefully Kago did not think that Takuya was a freak in any way. The bear thought of Kago running around the school saying that Takuya was a freak sent both a nervous feeling, and a little chuckle out of his mouth. But the chuckle, thankfully, wasn't loud at all. |

For a minute there, Takuya was shocked. He had jsut been called a freak! This was not something he wanted. But before he could say anything, it seemed Kago had read his face, and seen that Takuya had taken it seriously. And so, he blurted out "just kidding!". With that, Takuya took a breath. It was only a joke... "I can see them too. Mine are Red, Green, and Yellow Gadget." At this, Neos appeared for a third time on the Academy territory. "So this boy can see duel spirits as well, Takuya?" "That seems to be the case. He can see the three Gadgets." Takuya took another breath. "Well that's cool, you can see them too!" he exclaimed. "But recently I've began having strange feelings from other cards in my collection. It's very strange. Any ideas?" Neos again commented on Kago's words. "I thought there was something odd with him. He's been tainted with Darkness." Neos told Takuya. "You sure, Neos? It could be something else..." "I'm definite about this, Takuya. But his Darkness is small, so maybe a duel using me just might take it out..." "Neos, you can purge Darkness?" "In this state, with ease. But only a little..." With that, Takuya took out his Osiris Red duel disk, and turned it out. He inserted his deck into his disk, and set his lifepoints to 8000. "If you want to know so badly, we'll need to duel it out!" Takuya said with a smile. Let the duel begin! |

Kago, rather surprised by the student's duel request, pulled out his duel disk, and loaded his deck. "Alright then, I'll let you have the first move." Although Kago loved his gadgets deeply, he couldn't help but feel an immense inconsistency in them lately. He felt horrible about it, but he couldn't help the way he felt. Perhaps if this duel didn't go well he would retire the deck for a bit. |
