I wont back down!
|
As she walked into the chilly store, Kiseiko let out a huge breath. "Too much work for a cute girl" she said as she closed her eyes and looked up, After letting out a sigh, she opened them and looked back down. She eyed a small panel she could push to get behind the counter, grabbed her bags and moved toward it. Kiseiko had been been lucky enough to see the 'Ice Cream Shop' sign above the building as she walked towards the bigger group of buildings. Instructions on a paper indicated that she would reside here, and there was a private room where she would sleep. How awesome is it to be able to have your own room directly behind an ice cream shop? She eventually reached the area that was her room, and fell instantly in love with it. It was bigger than her old room, it had all the features of a regular house such as heating and wi-fi connection, and most importantly, GIANT BED!!! She set her stuff down, and jumped on it, and began a light breathing cycle on the plushy, comfortable bed. EDIT: After a quick nap, she got up and stretched. Kiseiko looked at her hours pamphlet, and realized that in order to keep the job, she must attend the register for at least 4 hours a day for 5 days of a week. She thought it was fair, and deicded to take a shift now. She walked behind and stood at the counter, ready to take orders. EDIT 2: After a little while of no activity, Kiseiko began to sulk. Being energentic, she always had to be doing something. As if an asnwer to her prayers, her PDA began going off. 'All students are going to a class, huh? Maybe, not even a student, I can learn something there...' "Well! In that case! I shall attempt to get to know the students here then." She said out loud. With that, she walked at a quick pace to the classroom. <To: Headmaster's Class> Edited by JeY Nakari, Mar 3 2008, 02:32 PM.

Kiseiko walked in casually, got behind the counter of the register, and turned around to face the door. She looked at the clock at the side, and decided if she worked for just 2 more hours, she could set a good balance for the week, and then go to sleep. Until then, Ice cream for everyone! Of who shows up, at least. She sighed, put her elbow on the counter and leaned on it. EDIT: Kiseiko yawned at the lack of activity. She looked back at the clock, and realized no one was coming. She went into the back, then into her suite, and jumped ont he bed. 'Not the life I wanted... but at least I'm getting paid...' She closed her eyes, and nearly fell asleep instantly. JeY was walking toward his dorm room when he passed the ice cream shop. After actually considering his hunger, he stopped walking in front of the door. Ice cream twice in one day isn't great... I would really like a snack though. Maybe sherbert would work. He stepped in, and realized no one was at the counter. He saw a small bell at the side of the register, and figured the person working there was stacking cones in the back, or something similar. He walked up to the counter, and rung the bell. ---Kiseiko--- -DING DING!!- came ringing into her room and startled her. She jumped to a 90 degree sitting position, squealing quietly. She looked at the time, and assumed it would be decent for customers. He rubbed her eyes and got out of the bed. 'I should so remove that bell...' She walked out, closed the door and went to the counter. A taller Ra boy was at the counter, looking tired and maybe even a little agitated. "May I help you?" She asked. ---JeY--- "May i help you?" Asked a pink-haired girl, who was much shorter, that walked to the counter. "Just some rainbow sherbert." JeY couldn't help but put on a slightly confused face as someone who looked underage was working the counter. He wondered if she was a duelist, or even a student. He shook his head quickly, and remembered it was impoilte to stare. He looked down at the counter out of slight embarrassment. The girl put a small styrafoam bowl ont he table with a colorful treat. "Here you go. Anything else?" Said the girl in a delightful tone. "No thanks" JeY replied, and handed the correct amount of money to the girl. He took his sherbert and sat at the farthest table. ---Kiseiko--- Kiseiko watched the boy take the ice cream and walk to the farthest table as she put the money in the register. She didn't sound nearly as energenic as usual, her energy was still drained, and being awoken from a nice nap didn't help. She looked at the clock again, and decided more people might come. She decided to walk back to her room and pull out her deck to look through it. 'I really hope I'm not out of my league here. A job away from my family will have been useless...' She thought to herself. 'No! I must think positive! If I have to, i'll duel that boy!' She sifted through the few extra cards she brought with her next, and continued to wonder if she use them. As Rina ventured through the streets of the shopping district, one sign in particular caught her attention. She gazed at it and widened her eyes. "Aaah~! it's an ice cream shoppe! I didn't know they had these, here! Hmm~ hmhm hmhm hmhmm~!" Her lips curled pleasurably [X3] as she gravitated towards the building. "I totally deserve this!" She opened the glass door and entered the world of rainbow goodness. It was a beautiful little place with practically every color imaginable in view: this made lounging in the parlour even more worthwhile for the redhead. Glancing at the seated area, she noticed Jey enjoying his own helping of ice cream. If he happened to look up, she intended to wave towards him as she made her way towards the front counter, despite no one being there. But someone had to be in for Jey to get his share. Immediately, once at the counter, Rina noticed the bell resting before her. "...." At first, Rina decided to simply wait for the employee to return, as she was in no hurry. While doing so, she examined the selection of ice cream that was available, looking for one in particular. The amount of flavors carried within this store was large, compared to back home. To her delight, she found the green substance in a short amount of time. "Ah. Good. They have it. Then again, don't see why any shoppe wouldn't." Mint Chocolate Chip, Rina's overall favorite flavor. She smiled as she continued to stare at it, wondering how it'd taste since it was made by someone other than the amazing old man from the parlour, back home. With thoughts such as those in her mind, she could no longer hold back her patience. The Ra girl rythmically tapped the bell twice, awaiting service. Edited by Rina Kasakura, Mar 13 2008, 02:06 PM.

JeY noticed Rina come in and make a wave to him and she walked to the counter. She eyed the flavors with much content, and waited at the counter. Her look turned impatient, and then she rang the bell twice. JeY thought he could get another chance to talk to that girl at the counter without disturbing her himself. He continued eating his sherbert and waited for the correct moment to move toward the counter. ---Kiseiko--- She jumped again to the soud of the bell, nearly dropped all ofher cards. 'Of course, there's NEVER business when I don't actually mind serving customers!!!' She stashed her cards away and walked to the counter to see a red-headed girl with a gleeful look on her face. "Hello! What may I get you today!?" She said in her usual energenic tone. |

"Hi, ...." Rina smiled back at the shorter girl, before turning and pointing to her desired choice. "Um, can I get some 'Mint Chocolate Chip' in a bowl, please?" Rina preferred bowls over cones. One reason is the spillage factor; the second, being that she enjoys scooping the melting ice cream from around the inner base and eating that. The pleasant smile on her face could not be relaxed, but she strained to keep it from escalating further. Edited by Rina Kasakura, Mar 13 2008, 04:18 PM.

[OOC: sorry for the wait, but it's up now. Mom kicked me off last night ]"Sure!!" She said, taking the giant scoop and putting some of the flavor she mentioned into a dish. She reached behind and grabbed a spoon, and dug it into the side and handed it to the girl. "Enjoy." She said, with he eyes bright and a big smile on her face. This is not intentional, the habit comes with being naturally energenic. ---JeY--- JeY finished his sherbert, tossed it into the bein and walked up to the counter. Now's a good chance to get to know her... hopefully I wont seem like a creep. It's the worst when people misjudge me... He put his hands on the counter, standing next to Rina, ans started to speak. "I'm sorry if I seem rude, but are you a student here?" He asked, trying to voice a naturally curious tone. Tone of voice was key to allow people to truly understand the meaning behind what you asked. From the look on the girls face, the answer was 'no, of course not', but his curiosity overrided the fact it was obvious she was just a short employee. ---Kiseiko--- "I'm sorry if I seem rude, but are you a student here?" Kiseiko feared she would get that question eventually, but she assessed that if she gave the straight yes or no, she might be mistaken for not being a duelist, when in fact, she was. "No, I don't go to school here. I applied for the job, becuase I needed money and I love to duel!" Kiseiko figured she would get an easy challenge from the Ra after that, as she didn't mind testing our her deck agasint actual duelists, rather than the amatuers back where she used to live. She feared they would be much greater, but regardless, she was good herself. [OOC: Break in conversation to allow others to respond first.] Edited by JeY Nakari, Mar 14 2008, 01:32 PM.

Sean stepped into the ice cream shop, he felt warm and needed to cool off. The class was pretty much short ending with the teacher being pissed. He looked around, saw two ra's and then a short woman "Staff? I seem to be running into them alot...." He stepped forwards a bit and then noticed her bright pink hair "A bit strange huh miss?" Sean asked impolitely and abruptly. He then bit his toungue and looked away. "I mean...hi guys" he saw Jey and Rina "How's it going in the tournament so far by the way?" he stated trying to draw attention away from how he called the staff woman wierd "Because we cant fall behind" he added with a determined look. |

"What did you say!?" Kiseiko's violet eyes beamed at the Ra that came in, walked to the counter and called her strange. She angled her elbow up and extended her pointer finger and closed her eyes. "I'll have you know you're being very rude." She huffed, lowered her hand and opened her eyes, continuing to beam at the yellow. She completely ignored that he had said something to the other 2 students there. But then, she just remembered that there were other students. Especially that Ra boy that walked in first. She decided that this would be a great chance to duel. "Alright, if that's how you want to play, then how about a duel?" Her beam turned into an expression, seemlingly if she put a neon sign above her head that says 'I'm plotting something'. He looked at her wrist, and realized her duel disk was in the back room. "Oh, one sec! excuse me!" She ran intot he back round, threw her deck into the duel disk, attatched it to her arm, and ran back out. "Okay, i'm ready!" She really hoped she would accept her challenge, otherwise this would've been an embarassing, wasted effort. ---JeY--- JeY noticed another Ra come in, one he remembered as Sean, and call the girl at the counter strange. "that's really impolite, you know." He said calmly. Although, the girl behind the counter seemed oblivious, as she already ran out, and then back with a duel disk. "Good luck with that one, Sean." He said to him as he walked to the nearest seat, and sat down. He looked at Rina, holding her ice cream, and gave a look indiciating she should sit down near him. |

Sean's eyes grow wide as he shakes his hands "Umm....no thanks?" he noticed the strong look of determination in her eyes however "I like that spirit though...so I'll accept your challenge!" He threw on his duel disk almost as quickly as she had ran to get it, he also took a mental note that she can run really fast. "So then, ladies first was always good for me and even though we just met and I seem like a jerk you'll soon find out that I'm chivalrous" he said giving off a slight grin. He then went to reach for his cards, however he saw penny "see a penny pick it up" he joked seeing the heads sign. If I was superstitious I'd be worried |
