He rose his hands to show he held no weapon in them. "Do I look hostile to you? What information do you have?" He spoke to Zakuro, but his eyes never once left the woman at his side, his sense of territorial instinct not liking her being around. Along with that, impatience droned in the back of his mind. He had to get control of the army leaders before things got to be too much for him to handle. He kept his voice even, though.

Charlie looked at her. "You sure couldn't tell that, now. He seems reluctant to even leave your presence. A nice love story, I guess." He laughed softly.

"It seems that your neighboring country has mobilized their forces. They have begun to build troops are fortifying their border with your kingdom. I believe they wish to make a swift war while things aren't strong here," Zakuro relayed, the last bit about weakness not his own words, but speculation of their thoughts.
The woman at his side shifted, moving ever so slightly closer to him with Storm's presence. Zakuro noticed and set one hand on her shoulder for reassurance that Storm was an ally. "I'll help however I can whether it be here or on the battle field."

Slowly, the town around them became more and more run down until finally they had reached Pearl's quaint, but rickety old house. "You know, I would love to build the wealth of the whole city. there shouldn't be places like this," Crystal stated taking one wide look and everything.
Her voice attracted Pearl to the door, who immediately beckoned them in.
(Just a reminder, Pearl was your character ^^)

Distress danced in Storm's eyes, which always gave him away, but his body otherwise stood solidly and without emotion. Surprise then jumped into his gaze when Zakuro offered himself. He glanced at the girl as she moved, then let his eyes land on Zakuro. "I do not know why you have allied yourself with me. But I am very grateful you have. Thank you for the information, but honestly, there is so little I can about it, it is insane. My entire-" He cut himself off, his eyes judging if Zakuro would really stand as an ally. But he quickly dismissed. I have so little to lose, it's pitiful. "My entire army is completely out of my reach. In fact, it was only last night that I was attacked by my own generals. I was just on my way to see what more damage I could do to myself in the situation with them. I didn't-" He cut himself off again, his eyes going wide as his mind began to whirl with the information he'd been reading up on in the libraries. Documents floated in his mind, history, genetics, traditions. His mind was almost unable to hold the concept of how.....easyily he could take over this whole situation. His guard being distracted by his memory and thoughts, his excitement lept through and he was instantly at Zakuro's side, grabbing his wrist with enthusiasm. "I have a plan. You're helping me. Her, too. This is gonna be great!! Let's go! Narasu!" The ground began to shake and a great gust of wind suddenly blew them, fire sprouting on the ground and a loud roar of fury coming from above them. Storm instantly recognized his hightened sense of emotions and he cooled them down, then spoke, releasing Zakuro's wrist. "Narasu, I'm fine. We just need a riide."
The dragon looked down at him, his fire ceasing. "A ride? We just forced this man to leave our territory."
Storm waved his hand in dismissal. "Long story. The end of it is, we need a ride to gather a few things from a few houses. And a dragon in case things don't go as I plan. But, " He smiled. "I'm sure they'll go beautifully to plan." Narasu landed, being easy with the buildings around them, and stretched out his wing. Storm climbed onto him, waiting impatiently for Zakuro and the girl.

Charlie looked about to say something, then shut his mouth as Pearl opened the door. She had her gentle smile on her lips and Amber(<-- right???) sitting on her hip. "Please, do come in." She seemed very tired. Her eyes held dark circles underneath them. "I was thinking of you. And Storm's offer. I do not want to intrude but.... I really need a crib.... She cannot sleep with me all the time and I do not like her being in a bed during her naps where she can just roll off. It worries me and I can get no rest because of it. Please, this is all I'll ask. I'll even pay, I promise, your Highness."

The girl was immediately hostile toward Storm as he moved too quickly to Zakuro. This agitation and the growl that was about to come were quelled by one stabbing glare to her"We'd be glad to assist you however we can."
The girl grabbed Zakuro's hand as he moved to mount Narasu with Storm. He lead in and whispered with almost silence, "It's alright Lazura. It's best you conserve your energy for now."
He wasn't natural with telepathy, so his words had to be used with her still. She nodded reluctantly and they mounted as well. Zakuro wasn't one for questions, but Lazura was immediately inquiring. With her powerful and pleasing voice she asked, "So what will be our destination, and our roll here?"

Crystal shook her head at Pearl's begging. "You don't have to beg like that. Of course you can have the crib. Right now Storm is handling a few problems, but..."
Crystal looked to Charlie as if sizing him up for the task. "I think he may be able to help while we chat here. What do you think Charlie?"
Crystal knew he would be plenty capable for it, but she mostly wanted to keep him busy while she made plans for the wedding. It would have to be a surprise to Storm, and Charlie might give something away even if by accident.

Storm glanced back at her, his eyes showing his undecisiveness to trust her or not, as Narasu rose from the ground. He knew his plan was giving away secrets and weaknesses of the people who lived here, of his new home, but if he didn't explain to them what he needed done, he would have no help, and this village would fall to ruin within the season. He sighed inwardly. "The people here are deeply inbedded with the belief of spirits. They fear them and are in awe of them. By fear, I mean intense hysterical fear. People have died before from thinking they'd seen a ghost. So, if some "spirit friends" of this village happen to stop by in the army courts, where the soldiers and generals practically live, and say they are angry with the generals and would rather me be in charge of the army, then how intensely we are outnumbered will not matter and I should be able to get everything in its proper order before the neighboring villages decide to declare war on us. And, I hate to say it, but you." He looked at Lazura. "Will be the star of this show. Hope you don't mind. I'll explain my plan once we get there." He turned back facing the front, leading Narasu to the army courts, keeping Lazura inside his peripheral vision.

Charlie nodded. "I used to help my father build and fix things when I was younger, so I'm very good with my hands. Just draw me a sketch of your dream-crib and I'll do my best to have it done before we leave. As long as I was right and we will be here for most the day?" He looked at Crystal inquiringly.
Pearl couldn't hide her wide smile of gratitude and quickly found some paper and ink and began drawing. She drew the simplest crib and Charlie hid his frown when he looked at it. "I don't know if I can make it exactly this, but I sure will try." He smiled. He had some modifications, some he knew she would love judging by certain decorations about her home. She is kind and simple. I will give her something she and her child deserve. "I'll begin right away. Madam Crystal, please call should you need me. Storm has used something, telepathy?, on me before, so I know what to listen for, now. I'll be right outside, working." He left the house, leaving Crystal and Pearl inside.
Pearl smiled to her. "Thank you so much!"

Lazura had no problem helping, and the method Storm had chosen made the most sense of anything. It took advantage of local beliefs and saved unnecessary trouble. She didn't, however, know how well his plan would work with her at the point. Though she could take on a human form, her skin and hair didn't take on such a look, leaving her constantly wrapped in the cloak. The strangeness might help to convince that she is a spirit too though. She nodded once in acknowledgement and went silent, controlling her instincts as she rode with them.
Zakuro rode silently and listened, thinking through things as well. He only hoped Lazura would be alright with this. He would't force her into anything.

Crystal dismissed him, holding back a smile saying, "I'll let you know shall I need you. And thank you very much for your assistance."
After He had left, she let a grin cross her features and said, "He is a very good person. Eager to please. Always looking to help someone," She said.
"Well, with him on the job, I'm sure you will have the crib you deserve."
She took a seat with Pearl and continued. "You know, it is quite pleasant here. Even if it's the poor side of town, it's still nice when you subtract the hardships. Not so busy like the castle," She said remembering the times she had spent in very simple facilities.
There isn't many high end things now that the unholy crystals had been reverted. "I'd like your help though to plan my wedding. I'm not the best in that way as I said, but you can help right?" she said straight forward.

Storm nodded in return. "Zakuro and I will be doing all the work. I just need you to look pretty for me." He smiled and Narasu began to land, the army courts only yards from them. "Zakuro, were you ever a mischevious kid growing up?"

Pearl gaped at her. "Me?! You want me to help with your wedding?! Oh yes, your Highness!" She quickly grabbed some paper and a quill and sat beside Crystal. "Where would you like to have it, my Queen, and what colors take your eye?"

That question pushed Zakuro's mind back to his childhood, a place he could seldom recall and, although was good, brought him pain. "Occasionally I was," he admitted trying to hold onto some of that time to no avail. "Why do you ask?"
Lazura held back a scoff at Storm's statement. She was a dragon of great beauty and elegance whether human or not, even if it held little real value to her personally.

A twinkle lit up in Crystal's eye when Pearl agreed. "Well, I have thought about where exactly to hold it, though I am certain it will be in my home lands, but I know I want a fire and water theme. The two elements actually coexisting," She said excitedly.
Picking Pearl was the best choice she could have made. This wedding was going to be perfect, or so she hoped.

A crimson grin touched Storm's lips. "Because we are going to be mischevious, Zakuro. Very mischevious." As Narasu landed, Storm lept off and extended a hand for Lazura out of politeness. "I seem to have offended you, my dear. Please, do not take what I say as so. You are simply perfect for the role of my ghost, though. Might I hear your voice?" He wanted to know what her voice sounded like, to see if it could fit the whispy stereotypical voice of a female ghost haunting. He glanced at Zakuro. "You and I will be on opposite sides of each room we go through. One of us will do something then the other, so it seems it is really an unseen ghost moving quickly in her rage. For example, you'll push over a stack of dishes, I'll knock over a stand of weaponry. Scratches on the wall. Random fires. The smoke will work well as a sort of fog for her. We just need to find some flour to pour on her so she appears just as white and pale, so when they see her, they will believe in her, and listen to her words declaring me as the new general over all and her anger with the previous ones." This girl is going to hate me. But this plan is the best I've got.

"Oh, that's a wonderful idea! How to do that, though.... Oh, I've got it! Do you know of the ancient methods of our people sending our goodbyes to a dead spirit? It is the ultimate and last strong show of love for the lost person. We go to all the bodies of water in our areas and light candles, then place them on the water to let them go where the wind takes them. They just float away. It is showing that we still love them dearly, even past the grave. We could give everyone one of these candles to hold during the ceremony, which can be held in your homeland surrounded by a body of water, and when the vow of "Until death do you part" comes, everyone can put their candles in the water, to show you shall love each other even after that. And your homeland sounds very sweet, but, if I may, how will you get our people there? They must attend the wedding, at least some, anyway."

"Sounds quite cruel. I do enjoy how it sounds," Zakuro said imagining the way things would play out.
Lazura cut in giving Storm her powerful but elegant voice with a problem. "I might not fit into such a ghastly figure. You see..."
Lazura pulled back the cowl that hooded any of her body to reveal long black hair with purple tints shining through. her skin was similar to match the appearance she held as a dragon. Turquoise around the eyes like make-up had been carefully applied. Her face was as black as her scales and purple started just under her chin, rich with color with vanished into her cloak. The whole normally set to her skull as a dragon wasn't visible in this state.
"I'm not exactly what you were expecting. I'm sure we can make it work around my appearance, but it is something to know," she finished with no indignation.
Zakuro shrugged slightly to himself, not expecting her to come from hiding so easily. "Well?" he asked flatly, curious is Storm had changed anything at this revelation.

Crystal's eyes lit up with the thought. "That sounds absolutely wonderful! And I have a friend that can easily help people cross over. Of course, you have no choice but to attended now," Crystal added, but as an invitation to a friend rather than an order from a queen.
"If that's the case, we could have it in Aqueose. The water realm of course. Maybe we could have other signs of fire to balance out so much water. To show that we are both equal parts of each other."
She thought about how invitations could be made, as well as what kind of foods, any music, who would perform the ceremony. "Wow. There is so much that goes into these things," Crystal voiced aloud idly, "But I have you, and of course Amber too."
She smiled when the baby responded to the sound of her name already.

Storm's entrancing smile did not waver. "Simply perfect, my dear. Just some flour and your will be quite ghostly-lovely." He quickly kissed her forehead, then moving back a distance to avoid getting himself hurt by it. "Give me just one second, dear." He disappeared and Narasu turned his head, his eyes falling on Lazura and narrowing, a growl coming from him.
"I know who you are. Don't you dare hurt him." Suddenly, Narasu jerked his head back and Zakuro was shoved away from Lazura and a huge thick mess of white powder came raining down, covering the girl. Storm stood in front of her with a wide grin and the empty bag of flour in his hand. "Beautiful ghost. Zakuro and I will be making all the rucus, we just need your voice while we do so. All you need to do is speak and I'll use my own talents to make your voice seem to be coming from different origins. Zakuro, you know what we're doing. Once I have the room with the right amount of smoke and everyone in the room we are in, I'll lift you up with a platform of my forcefield and that's when you'll have your speech, Lazura. During this, Zakuro, you'll find your way out of the building. And once Lazura is done, I'll take her and get us out before the riots start. Everyone clear? Good, let's sneak in."

Pearl gave a soft laugh. "We can have torches along the ribbon pathway you'll be walking, leading you to the altar, symbolizing Storm guiding your safe way to him. Speaking of invitations, madame, who will be your Maid of Honor and your Bridesmaids? And his Best Man and Groomsmen?"

Storm had vanished before Lazura could snap on him, and had returned before she could reply to Narasu's threat. Covered in flour and coughing from inhaling it, she felt belittled already. Her eyes found Zakuro's, which simply sought to calm her. It was what had to be done. She sighed and said, "Alright. lets get on with it then."
Zakuro let Storm lead the way in, followed by him, and then Lazura behind. This plan would work so long as Lazura could pull off such a role. He wasn't sure how well, but if they believed it, that was all that mattered.

Crystal seemed taken aback by the question. "Hmmm. I don't really know," she said putting a finger to her lips and looking to the ceiling in thought, "Of course you will be the maid of honor. Only seems right to have a friend, especially the one helping be. Maybe I could call up Amber and Clairy for the bridesmaids. I haven't seen them in too long as well. it'd be perfect."
I'll have Clairy and Amber as my bridesmaids and you'll be the maid of honor. But..."
Crystal stopped to think about Storm. "He doesn't really have any friends other than me, of course I'm more than just that. I'm certain Shadow is the closest thing to another friend he has. They had gotten really close before he left. It's all really confusing."
Crystal sighed thinking about all the things and how Storm was so against others. She shook her head to clear the thoughts and focused back on the task at hand. "I'll have to ask him at a later time."

Storm snuck in on the back way, where a guard already lay unconscious. He glanced back at the others and shrugged, speaking with his eyes 'I had to get the flour'. He led them into a more darkened and much larger room, where majority of the soldiers and generals already seemed to be gathered, drinking and enjoying free time. Storm motioned for Lazura to hide behind one of the many statues symbolizing lost soldiers and for Zakuro to go to the left while he went right. He knew he had to get everyone's attention before the show began and he hid behind a staue as well, testing its weight and shocked by how heavy he found. He sighed inwardly. And here goes my shoulder. He braced his left shoulder and shoved himself into the statue, first making it teeter, then it collapsed and broke two empty tables. Storm used the dust and debris that rose to hide himself as he hid once more and the entire room quiteted, waiting for Zakuro to make his move and for Lazura to use her voice.

Pearl seemed to have quit listening to Crystal and just stared at her, dumbfounded. "M-me? You want...me to be your Maid of Honor?" Her voice showed her shock. Crystal was a queen and Pearl was simply a poor woman.

Zakuro slipped through the dark areas to where he could see the stunted silence rise. Using this distraction, he focused his water control to several, randomly selected glasses and with a sudden freeze then return to liquid state, they seemed to randomly shatter. He was pleased and motioned for Lazura to make some move before moving to another place."
Not revealing herself, she cast her voice into the large room. "How dare you bring such shame and mutiny to my lands!" she hissed out.
To match her angered voice, Zakuro sent a surge of electricity into the ground, avoiding Storm and Lazura with this attack, leaving some fun for Storm. "I am Lazura, a spirit of these lands that you filth have disgraced."

Crystal stopped rambling and looked at Pearl. "Of course. Who else better than a friend to be as such?" Crystal explained simply.
She still didn't pay any mind to her status of queen. She was an Elemental Arcane, a being of limitless power, but she was still only Crystal. She was humble because of her origins are Arcane. It was a trait that all Arcane possessed because of their unfortunate fate.

Storm stood still, his eyes glazed over as he moved her voice from different origins around the room, focusing on each area he sent it to match the reactions Zakuro was sending through the room before using his own talents to flip a table. He heard the mutters of panic going through the room and he couldn't help but smile. He cast a fire near the statue where Lazura hid and Lazura began to rise as he placed a platform under him. Using his mind in so many different places, he couldn't move, his focus unable to be spared anywhere. He rose Lazura to the tips of his flames, where his smoke hid her feet. He couldn't even speak to her, his mind stretching so far. Soldiers began running out and some began ganging up on each other, blaming each other, as they saw Lazura rise from "nowhere". Soldiers were going everywhere. And one was shoved backwards, landing squarely into Storm. He fell and his attention wavered, but he cursed inwardly and caught himself before he let the platform fall. If she fails, this who village will fail. I can't let them believe anything else. The soldier who had tumbled into Storm whipped around and picked Storm up by his throat. "No!" The soldier yelled. "It is not us she speaks of! It is this! He is unfit to help the Queen rule! Perhaps she is unfit! Kill him and she will be pleased!"
Storm couldn't fight, if he put his mind anywhere else but the platform that held Lazura plus his fire and fake smoke and keeping control of the fire so as not to burn her, everything would go to hell. He braced himself, but that was all he could manage, his eyes swirling blue as used all his strength on everything but protecting himself. He felt the first punch thrown at him, hitting him square in the eye and making the soldier lose his grip on him and throw him to the floor. Storm winced but that was it. With effort, he forced words to Lazura. "Don't falter! They still believe you!" He felt himself being picked up by his collar, but he could no longer see, his eyes completely blue. He heard a knife being drawn and he felt its cold bite go between two of his ribs. He hissed in pain and struggled to keep Lazura up in the air.

Pearl smiled widely and tears touched her eyes. "You consider me a friend." Unable to control herself, she lept up and embraced Crystal tightly.

Zakuro felt himself cringe inwardly knowing what Storm was going through just for the success. He waited for Lazura to continue before he made another effort. Lazura let a growl emit in her words that originated from dragon not human saying, "Yes! Bring him here!"
Zakuro cleaved a table clean through with his scythe under her powerful words, then vanished again, moving closer to Storm. The men brought Storm forward, casting him in front of Lazura.
"You disgrace my lands and the kingdom I watch over with your foul words and mutiny to the queen."
To ease the burden on Storm, Lazura used her own power to cast her voice around the room instead, giving it the power and subtly it needed.
Instead of confronting him with these words, she pointed to different mutineers. Zakuro frozen shard of liquid from the ground, and each time she pointed to someone, deftly pierced them with one ice needle. "You have no respect for this kingdom. This man, Storm Recair, is more fit than all of you for controlling these barracks!"

Crystal was surprised by Pearl's sudden "attack". "Of course you..."
It occurred to Crystal of her status as queen and she chuckled slightly. She returned the affection and then said, "Just because I am queen doesn't make me any higher than you are. I'm someone from a totally different place who hardly belongs here. I came from origins of poverty worse than here. Never forget that," Crystal said gently.

The soldiers and generals, their minds consumed in fluster, blanched at her and looked to one another before one got the courage to speak. "If it is not he who is disgracing your lands, Madame, then whom?" They all looked to her expectantly.
A general spoke up, then. "Wait! She is a ghost of a haunting! That is why she does not know what she wants! We must free her soul! Men, see if she is solid! If so, tie her and we will sacrifice her to the kingdom as she loves so dearly! This will free her soul and reward us! Capture her!"
The men all shouted joyously and charged for Lazura.
Lazura fell to the floor and crimson eyes blocked their path. An ominous growl echoed around the room until it quieted. The first row of soldiers continued on, raising their swords towards him. He parried the first and drove his sword into the ground, using the bent person's back to leap on and swing around, his feet coming in contact with the soldier directly behind, driving him backwards through the room and crashing into a table. He felt the person beneath him rising and he went to leap off, hearing the sword ripping from the wood below, but another sword came down on his, cutting into the same shoulder he'd used to tip the statue. He grabbed the sword's blade, blood dripping from his hands as he did so, and jerked it, pulling the soldier forward, then getting the blade free, flipping it in his hand to drive right through the soldier's leg, making him collapse. All of this happened in less than 5 minutes and it made the other soldiers hesitate. Storm used his chance. "Were you not listening?! Haven't you been taught to honor the dead?! And yet you set out to capture one against her will just because an asshole told you to do it?! You're soldiers! Generals will not be there to hold your hand should you ever have to fight, so learn to use your own minds! Does this seem right to you, or does it just seem right to those who hold power over you? I'm the highest ranking being in here and I find this deathly wrong!" "Speak, Lazura, while they are listening! Please, I will repay you!"

"You and your fiancee have been nothing but good to me and I consider your friendship highly valuable, not because you are queen, but because you are you!" She finally released and sat down, taking a breath to calm herself. "I am truly sorry. Um, how about colors? Maybe something to match the elegance of your ring? Where is it? Might I see it? Oh, I never even asked how he proposed, do tell!"

Lazura could only catch a glimpse of what Storm had done, but she knew he had stopped them. She couldn't levitate anymore, but her magic of illusion remained, and as she moved to another place, making her seem a spirit entity. She stepped from the darkness of the statues, the air seemed to blur all around her, giving the ghastly impression that would be lost in plain sight. "How about a warning. Blood for blood?!"
Zakuro took this as a sign and let his cold biting scythe cut the air itself and find flesh. A scream cut loose as Zakuro cut clean through bone and severed one of the general's hands. Zakuro slipped back into the darkness, barely clearing their line of sight in time. He sighed to himself, calling it too close that time.
"This is only the start," she said, then called a guttural tone finishing, "Shall I call forth a demon to consume you all, or will you head my words!? This man is your hope!"

Crystal felt suddenly embarrassed, heat rushing to her cheeks as she had to admit Storm didn't propose, nor did he truly want a wedding. "Well, he hasn't yet. He really doesn't care about marriage, as it's not in his culture..."
Crystal found herself unable to continue, faltering on if this was even a good idea.

The soldiers and other generals began speaking, the injured one holding his wrist as it bled. He was crying, while Storm, also wounded severely, stood his ground and made no notion that he was hurt. The soldiers noted this and took in Lazura's and Storm's words. Slowly, the soldiers began moving so they stood behind Storm while bowing to Lazura. Storm watched, shock that his planned had actually worked in his eyes, but hidden otherwise. Finally, only the generals stood. They all looked at him scornfully. "You are not fit to rule! This village was fine without you and we would never obey what you brought as an excuse for a "queen"!"
Storm spoke, his voice low and calm. "No, you will not. For she does not rule over rogues. But your village, no, it will not last the season with you. With I and a spirit as witness, along with the rest of these ranks, I charge you with treason, the penalty: death." His eyes lit up and a fire rocketed towards the ceiling, swallowing every general that existed. When the screams of the generals vanished, the fire disappeared and Storm stepped forward and picked up something shining from the floor, a trail of blood behind him. He then rose, after pocketing the item, and turned to the soldiers. "We are in grave danger from our neighboring kingdoms. The only way we can survive is if this village and its queen has your loyalty, which you swore when you were accepted as military men. Those who doubt their loyalty, please step forward for a word with me."
Not a soul moved.
"Then get to bed. We have some real training tomorrow." With that, a large flame rose then vanished, filling the room with smoke. A bloody and cut hand grabbed Lazura's wrist, gently pulling her outside with him, Zakuro's wrist in his other hand. As they stepped outside, Narasu was waiting.
"It doesn't look like it went well."
Storm mounted him without a word, waiting for the other two to come, his mind elsewhere.

Pearl covered her mouth. "Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't know! Here, let's not worry about that! The colors, Crystal, let's see how we can bring in your most favorite colors!"

Lazura was even less accepting to come within Narasu's domain with her current state, but had little other choice, Zakuro already taken mount with Storm. She hid her discontent and took mount as well. "It went better than expected," Zakuro said in response to Narasu's statement.
He didn't expect them to fall so perfectly in order, nor did he think the general's would be slaughtered on the spot, but it was rightful. Lazura had found some respect for his power, but his reckless nature was still dangerous for himself and everyone else. He had good point and bad points.
