Storm growled, not liking having to reject the challenge he'd just offered up. He stumbled along with her, catching his balance with irritance in his eyes. Still, he obediently continued leading her to the palace, his arm holding hers, as should be. "Tomorrow." He repeated coldly, his eyes sparking as they met Zakuro's. Without another word, he left the area with Crystal and Charlie, going into the palace and leading them both to her chambers. Charlie wordlessly took his stance outside Crystal's door as Crystal and Storm entered and Storm made no argument of his being there this time while he was there. He began leading Crystal toward the bed so she could rest, but this made him walk her right past the desk in the room, which had a mess of papers scattered all over it, piled high, showing the amount of studying and research Storm had been doing it. Beside this mess was the single neatly stacked pile in a corner. It was the document Crystal had wanted translated with every single word written on another sheet of paper, fully translated, for her to read.

Crystal glanced at the piled scripts and scrolls. "I see you have been busy while I was out earlier. May I?" She said moving to the table.
She took a seat in the flourished wooden chair, overly built to match a queen. It was written in common demon script that Storm had transcribed, and she could make out a vast majority of the words.
To the next Lasicar zon maru. This is a text meant only for your eyes, written in our language. The Maru Faltsen. This is a beast for your companionship. These are great beings, passed through years and very wise and mighty. The tiger, the dragon, the serpent. These are the three Faltsen. their names shall only be revealed to you. Locked deep within the labyrinth are the three awaiting resurrection. The stones of power, dark rebirth and holy destruction, are required to bring them back. The tomb is located
Crystal read and understood, but everything she had just read made very little sense. "So this Manura person is searching for this...Maru Fal-Faltsen? But why does this involve us?" She turned from the parchment to look at Storm, "What do we do?"

Storm looked at her, his eyes serious. "It doesn't involve us, personally. It involves the people and the kingdom. Which, now, us. For some reason, this text was either taken from its proper receiver or it was kept from them. It holds a lot of information and it took more researching than any text I've seen. It was encoded in a million places, meaning it is highly important. And dangerous. And all of a sudden, this stranger wants it and claims it was promised to him by the previous queen, which we don't know the circumstances of her death, though it must be true lest he be a spy, for no one else knows of this document. I've done that kind of researching myself, too. No one within these halls or kingdom knew it existed nor could even help translate. I want to speak to this Manura person before you make any decisions. He can't expect us to just hand this over to him without a proper interrogation. And I want to be put in full charge of that duty."

"It must be quite important to the owner, and very dangerous should it fall wrong being so encrypted," Crystal said setting the parchment down.
She leaned back, pushing the heavy chair back with her feet onto it's back legs as she looked back at Storm. "I think we can make a choice on this after we see what he has to say, though I think he will be quite unyielding. I would love for you to handle his questioning, but I think I'd rather him at least survive long enough to give us something," She said, well aware of his methods.

After they had retreated into the palace, Zakuro had roamed away, finding anything that can burn away his time. He didn't like waiting, but he felt a eased sense that at least they had what he was searching so desperately for. His scythe, the white rod gripped tight, served as a walkign cane as he scanned the afternoon shop stalls for anything of interest.

Storm nodded and gave her a slight bow. "As you wish." He rose and looked at her. "Get some rest. I'll be back with the answers." With that, he disappeared.

The crimson eyes appeared behind Zakuro, watching him closely as he stepped out from the shadows, his pace at a leisure as he easily caught up with his target. He slowed down, matching Zakuro's pace. "If you seek what you claim to, step aside with me and let me read you." His words came from his heritage, an honest claim to a safe meeting, one that would not be broken. But, to be broken, did not mean a fight. It simply meant nothing worthy of putting the other in critical conditions or killing them. He didn't expect Zakuro to know the proper answer or what this phrase meant, but he said it anyway, knowing it was the only way to keep himself from breaking Crystal's orders. Still, he was curious to see if he would receive the proper answer: 'My claim is no lie, I will go with you with no fear to die.'

Zakuro stopped, the words that he heard making his body go rigid with a mix of horror and burning hatred. His face did not flicker as a fleeting image of his father appeared in his mind; a suppressed memory of long ago time. He knew the phrase, and after the feelings that surfaced had been quelled within him, he remembered the call in response. His tone was even flatter than usual, a cold layer falling to his whispered words. "My claim is no lie, I will go with you with no fear to die."
Even as he said it, he averted his direction from the heart of the city to a path that would lead them more on the outskirts and slums.

Crystal sighed, knowing he would hold to his promise, but still wondering how he would do. They were both opposing, and powerful. They would butt-heads, and she didn't want things blowing and, more importantly, didn't want Storm coming home with more injuries. She crawled onto the silken bed spread and laid with her face to the overhead canopy and closed her eyes, drowning herself into the energy she held. A meditation that she had to begin again to overwhelm the restriction.

Storm smirked. The truce has been made, then. He followed silently until they were far enough for him to be comfortable. He then stopped, his eyes cold. "You are obviously a good traveller, then, to know the ways of completely other kinds. You must also be one of valuable information, to have been given the call of truce before. However, I still have my questions. And my doubts. You want this document which holds information on a certain piece of land holding certain creatures beneath it. I know this. What I do not know is why. You told us earlier that the previous Queen had promised it to you. Begin by telling me why."

Zakuro heard his question, but his attention was momentarily caught by a tree, blossoms of spring swaying gently in the wind. He looked back to Storm, meeting the cold glare with his own flat, multicolored eyes. "It was not promised to me personally, but to my ancestors decedents. They had made a promise with our bloodline, friends of the distance past, to guard the ancient knowledge. When shown the seal, they would pass it down to the next in line, who would then return it for future offspring after he or she no longer needed it," Zakuro explained, this the most he had spoken in a while.
He licked his lips, feeling the words straining from his lack of communication. For a brief moment, he thought to allow his eye of true seeing to examine Storm, but thought better of it. This was a mutual peace between them.

"And how do we know it is no longer needed? How do we know you are of the proper bloodline? You must see my side here. I have a complete stranger asking my Queen for something that was highly guarded and intricately coded. I break codes all the time and this one was one of the hardest. It's words tell me of highly important and dangerous creatures. Besides I promise, which I have no record of, that's all you're giving me. I need more." He wanted nothing more than to use his own methods of interrogation, but he too remembered the truce he had sworn and he would never break a tradition from his own kind. So, he used the most polite of voices, his motions gentle and unthreatening.

Zakuro moved his scythe to his left hand and said, "I have other things. If you have 'deciphered' the text, then you should know that what I search is the Maru Faltsen. I do not know how much you read into it, but these beasts are companions of the Lasicar Zon Maru. They are special for their bond to the..."
His words trailed off, an attempt to conceal his necromancy. He couldn't hand over all the information to someone he couldn't trust, and who couldn't trust him. "All I search for is the location of the tomb. Underground, but where? I haven't found that yet, but it is in the text of the scroll," He said.
Zakuro pulled a stray strand of black hair from his face and narrowed his eyes, but past Zakuro, to people who had stopped to watch them. Zakuro stepped closer and said, "It seems we might be drawing a crowd."

Irritance at his questions being avoided sparked in Storm's eyes and his impatience grew. He was asking the questions that he'd meant to be asking, but others were in him he personally wanted to know. Without looking around to see if Zakuro's comment was true, he took Zakuro's wrist hard in his grasp and they both disappeared with a warm wisp of wind where they'd been. They reappeared in an open clearing, no one remotely close to them, Storm's fire leaping about him and keeping the air warm as he forced himself not to do as he wished. "What do you want to do with that knowledge?! Where is the proof that you deserve it?! How can I know I can trust you?! And how the bloody hell did you know the proper response to my truce!" His protection for his own kingdom was itching within him. Was his kingdom in trouble? How was a stranger to know about it, especially of the enemy element?

Zakuro wretched his hand free in one smooth motion, hopping back a safe distance from Storm's heat. As if in response, lightning sparked again, just as it had before and Zakuro said, "You can't trust me, because I can't trust you, and if you must know, I wish to resurrect my Maru Faltsen. Only I can tame the beast properly, and only the beast will open to me. Either way, no one can bring it back without these."
Zakuro pulled two crystals, both opposite in structure of the other to form a oval shape. One was black with a white light emitting; in contrast, the other was white with black light. He quickly shoved them back in his pocket before Storm might try to take them and said, "This won't make much sense to someone who isn't involved, nor spent time to truly seek this. Many years I have been searching, so I know more. It has only been two days for you to be involved. Besides, you have your bond made," He added at the end, knowing that Storm's kind had dragon familiars.
Zakuro avoided answering to his past, and his father, who was of the same breed as Storm. Feeling the threat from Storm, He let the iris of his faded azure eye shift with power power, his perception enhanced ten fold. He wouldn't risk a fight being this close to his goal, and his pacifism was strong as well. "I will not fight with you, nor do I want to cause any harm here. I just wish to complete my own bond."

Storm growled and his fire vanished from sight. "I have made my truce with you and I would never break that. You refuse to answer my question about my kingdom. How do you know so much of it. I want to know. More importantly, I understand the bond you crave only because I have one. You have not seen my dragon, though, and I would advise you do no thing to force yourself into seeing him. I will speak in your favor to the Queen if you can give me a binding word, no, something stronger than that, to assure me that giving this information to you is not going to put this kingdom nor my own in any form of danger, ever. Give me this and I will give you the information you seek. Right now. Guarenteed. All you need to do...is swear into my ranks. Into this kingdom. Become a member of it so I might keep my eye on you personally and not put so much risk in just words you may give me. An ally, per say."

Zakuro sighed heavily and said, "My father was that same as your breed. Also," He let his gaurd drop, but only slightly, his next words dangerous themselves, "I can not swear into your ranks. I am already of another kingdom, but I can offer you this, as both my precious possession for you to hold and my word. As king, I, Zakuro Manura, extend an alliance to (Name of Crystal's kingdom) from Alistair kingdom," He said, holding his hand out and revealing his name and his connection as Cisca's mate, and Espira's father.
He knew it was dangerous to reveal his name, and more over, his king status, but it was the best thing he had to offer.

Recognization zipped across Storm's eyes, but he quickly hid it. He extended his own hand, receiving the hand shake. "I, Sharder Bloodrin, king of the Haydren Kingdom and advisor to Queen Crystal, accept your alliance in Queen Crystal's place." He knew his real name would send recognition through Zakuro and that was the sole reason he gave it. He was the infamous fire demon, one of the most wanted in many lands, and he knew Zakuro from long ago. With that, he dropped his hand. "The location you seek. We are standing on it. If you need more information, come to the palace and ask for Storm Recair." With that, he disappeared. Having taken Zakuro to the proper area to begin with showed he never doubted he would give the land away, but what was his interior motive and what changed his mind?

Storm appeared in Crystal's room, seeing her lying in her bed. He moved silently, not wanting to wake her if she were asleep. He gently slipped into the bed beside her, wrapping his arms around her, his eyes full of thoughts.

"Hmm, Sharder. Sounds familiar," He whispered to himself after Storm had vanished.
Knowing he was on the land was the last thing he needed. Zakuro had done all the research he needed, and most of the info in the scroll he had found after years of traveling and talking to everyone possible, he knew and had everything he needed to resurrect his beast. He noted that nothing grew within a thirty foot radius of where he stood. It was below him, and he needed the door. He began stopping around until one hit sounded hollow wood. He nodded and set himself ready, a quick blast from his scythe butt shattering the rotten wood. He cleared away most of the debris to reveal a large mouth into the ground.

Crystal was jolted from her meditation as he body was moved slightly in a less that liquid motion. With big eyes she quickly gathered her senses and realized her only threat was Storm at her sighed. She sighed deeply and released all the tension in her body again. "How was it," she said not looking to him.

"It went well. I believe I know him, to be quite honest. He is a king from another kingdom. He willingly gave me the information I needed and, in exchange for an alliance, I gave him the information he lacked. The scroll is ours to keep, he only missed on piece of information. He had all the rest. He proved to me he should have it. And an alliance cannot just be broken. Especially between to high ranks. How is your arm?" He asked her, looking up at her face, his eyes calm as his body began to relax, which it rarely did. Being in the presence of her meditating, having herself completely relaxed, unavoidably influenced his own body to do the same and he couldn't deny that he loved the feeling.

Crystal found this quite interesting. It explained why he hadn't shown any fear at Storm, and why he was at ease around a queen, unlike most of the people she had spoken to, who were either overly excited, or painfully shy. "Well, it seems that we made allies without even having to try. See what you can do when you don't threaten anyone physically," She said, letting her hand settle on his warm arm around her.
She liked that Storm could be at ease with her, especially knowing that he was forever tormented by many things, and rarely settled for anything.

"I never do it unnecessarily." He spoke in his own defense, a soft growl coming from his chest. He sighed to make it disappear and wished she would play with his hair again. He loved when she did it. Out of everything that had ever been done to him, his hair was something that was rarely touched and he loved the feeling of her fingers running through it, especially as she twisted it around her finger absentmindedly. Every time she did it, he drifted off into the most peaceful sleep he ever got. But he rarely let her push him that far, always having things to do or needing his guard to be up. Always excuses.
He brought himself back from where his mind trailed off and looked down at Crystal. "How is the queen thing going?"

Crystal shrugged in his arms and said, "It's going. you've seen most everything I've done. No more taxing that being a guardian of five realms."
She had tasks far greater than this as a guardian, and looking over it, she wasn't sure why she had been so pained when she was put to being queen. Her hand moved gently up his arm and she turned into his embrace and said, "It's been a while since we could be like this. Or maybe it just feels like it."
He hair partly covered one of her deep blue eyes and cast an alluring look on her face.

Zakuro was tracing through the tomb, a catacomb of passages, all of them undisturbed even through the centuries. This was his initial trial to prove his worth for the bond.
