Storm gratefully took the needle, nodding. "Yes, work on it. I promise." He mumbled. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a long piece of rubber, tying it tightly around his bicep, and tapped the inside of his elbow, about to inject himself when he saw the door opening. He caught Shadow's warning glance and stuffed the syringe into his pocket, forcing himself to withhold his pleasure a little longer. He let Shadow do the talking, knowing he was in no state to be doing anything safely around Crystal. When he caught her smile, though, he subtly pulled at the simply tied rubber and let it slip into his pocket, sidestepping Shadow and catching Crystal lightly by the wrist. "Crystal, is-is something wrong?" He felt bad enough that he was in such a condition that his best friend had to stand between him and his own fiancee, and he hated how he felt he couldn't turn to Crystal for this, but he would not let Crystal not be able to have him when she needed him, lusting for his addictions or not. "Is something bothering you?" Shadow would be able to feel the intensity of the power Storm was using to cast an illusion for Crystal, making his voice seem gentle and steady, his body not tremble, himself seem healthy and strong. Storm could also feel the intense burning at his throat, the collar taking its constant toll.

Crystal opened her mouth to speak, but then stopped herself. She shook her head forcing a reassuring smile and said, "Of course not. I'm...I'm just gunna be happy when this is all over."
Shadow shrugged, more to himself, not knowing what was happening. The smell of burn was subtle in the air the longer Storm held this illusion, and Shadow ignored it turning away from the scene. "I'm going to head out for a bit into town," he said sticking his handing in pockets and walking away.

Storm smiled gently to her and took her chin lightly, leaning in and giving her a sweet kiss. "Don't be worrying, dear. This war will be over shortly. And then we'll have a wedding we can't not attend. In fact, if you don't have anything to do today, I'm sure your friend would love to see you. I heard she's made progress on the dresses you've asked her to make. Don't ask how I know." He kissed on the cheek and finally couldn't keep his illusion much longer. "I'll see you tonight." He disappeared with his speed and stopped in a dark hallway. He hissed, pulling at his collar but of course it didn't help. I won't be able to do anything in this war with this damnable thing on! He retied the rubber strand and tapped his vein until it appeared well and, not able to look at the needle, he inserted it, feeling the rush run through him from head to toe, the pain at his throat numbing, his heartbeat now racing. He dropped the syringe, his body accepting the drug and changing its tremble from withdrawed to rythmed. He disappeared once more, reappearing beside Shadow, matching his pace. "We have some more things to work on for the war. I need your help with them."

Shadow nodded. "You've got it wherever you need. And be careful with Crystal. she isn't stupid, but she is crazy. She's been working excessively on how to break the bond of the collar," he said as they reached a back exit of the castle.
shadow pushed the door open into the light where it was only forest around where no one would see them come and go.

Crystal sighed and, rather than take Charlie as a guard, she leaped from the high window like before and descended quickly, avoiding being spotted until she'd cleared the walls and was safe among the incessant crowds outside oblivious to the impending doom. She made quick progress through town, happy to have a little freedom for once.

Storm walked out, following Shadow, shaking his head. "I think she's far from stupid. But I haven't exactly been thinking about the things I should have recently." Without clarifying what he meant, he answered that question with his next statement. "Did you know all she has to say is "I don't want to marry you" and there wouldn't be a damn thing I could do about it? You will never know how much that bothers me." He took a deep breath, trying to set that, his major worry, aside. "We're not going to the soldiers, yet. The other army is much closer than I thought they'd be by now. We need to find the best blacksmith around here. The soldiers have their armor, but you and I don't. And Heaven knows I'll worry incessantly if Crystal doesn't have armor. I honestly have accepted that I'd rather her fight by my side instead of be somewhere where I'm not. If she's in the most protected and locked down area, if I were not with her, I would not think she was safe enough." He finally looked at Shadow, his eyes set and determined. "I am getting sober before this war. I am going to be on my top game. And you're helping me get there. Tell me how we're doing this." He had stopped walking, standing in front of Shadow, not continuing anything until this was settled.

Shadow was more shocked at the fact that Storm mentioned armor for them. As Arcane, he could conjure up the armor made specifically to withstand the strain of something so powerful. It seemed Crystal hadn't mastered this, much to his dismay. He shook the thought away a moment and focus on Storm's demand. "Well, best thing will be a steady tampering. Taking less and less each day to prevent the sudden withdrawal," Shadow admitted, though he wasn't sure Storm would go for that.
"The only other options I know of would be to either quit cold turkey, and we've seen how that goes. Or you can get healing..."

"First choice it is, then." Storm said, cutting him off from continuing the choice with 'healing' included. "How are you going to regulate what I use, though? I don't trust myself to let it all be in my possession." He went ahead and continued walking, letting the conversation go on as they entered into the crowded streets. As they continued walking towards a small cluster of blacksmith shops Storm knew of, they passed quite a few people. One small group passed by, harmlessly smoking and laughing, having a good conversation. As soon as they entered Storm's range of scent, however, he drew closer to Shadow, grabbing the back of Shadow's shirt and clutching it tightly, standing in place and no longer walking forward, waiting for the scent to pass and struggling for the craving to go with it.

"I'll keep a supply with me and will handle giving it to you as I deem fit. That should at least keep it more in check."
Shadow believed he could hold Storm back, but keeping him from locating another source would be the difficult part. "I guess this will be the first of it. That will be the easy one to kick at least," Shadow said, aware of how certain things could effect the body.
He swept a wave a black mist around the area, distorting the atmosphere for Storm's sake, but it quickly drew attention and horrified looks from those around. "We've got a long road ahead. In any case, I won't need the armor, just you and Crystal," Shadow said moving forward to press Storm past his stun.
There was so much to do in such a short time, and Shadow could hardly form a plan to match it all in his mind.

Crystal finally stepped up to Pearl's house, knocking gently on the door. "It's Crystal."

Thanks to Shadow's distoration and the heroine Storm had taken earlier, he was able to move on, taking a minute to realize he'd grabbed Shadow's shirt and released it. "Well, you need to be finding the supply. I'll cover whatever money it costs. Because, don't get mad but" He pulled out a rolled up piece of paper and used his fire to light it. "But this is my last one. I have nothing else. Promise. And I won't go looking for the supplies myself. You're gonna be the only tie I have to these things. And if you don't think I'm trying on this, keep this in mind. I'm highly addicted and I'm promising to keep it all with you. Trust me. That's trying." He took a draw on the joint and let the smoke roll from between his lips, feeling the craving gently pull away from him. Regardless of his addictions, he did not forget his role here and he by no means was going to put his job on Shadow. "So long as you have proper armor. Keep in mind, we have no idea what we'll be up against. I want to do a few more test-fights with my soldiers to make sure they're getting things learned. Then we'll go over the basic line-up formation when the approaching army gets here. I'll also go over the evacuation plan in case we do begin to lose." He glanced at Shadow. "I do quite a bit of work when I'm up all night." He smiled, then his eyes became serious. "By the way, Shadow. If it does come to evacuation and you see any of our men running away, kill them. I have a couple of reasons as to why and I give you every right to ask me for them. But if you ask me or not, I expect it to be done. Alright?" He finally took the last draw on his joint and flicked the butt away, breathing out the smoke before they entered into one of the blacksmith shops, this one a little ways off from the rest and it seemed like no one was inside. Storm knocked on the wall and rattling could be heard as someone came from the back. It was a burly man, of course, and he seemed shocked to have customers. Storm smiled kindly at him. "Good morning, kind sir. I was looking for some armor and a few weapons to be built. Do you think you could do that for me?"
The man, though glad to see customers, seemed hesitant. "I-I don't think I can help you."
"Really now? You're Gruten, are you not? Then I think you can help me." Storm reached into his pocket and pulled out a nicely tied red bag filled with gold coins. "I can match your prices. And you're the only one who can match my wants."
It was now that Gruten's eyes lit up, a true customer standing before him. "Tell me what you need! Give me measurements. Skills. I make all you need!"
Storm gave his infamous smirk and took a slip of paper from the table he now leaned on, also taking a quill and dipping it in the ink. "This one is for female armor. If you must skimp on one of these two sets, do not let it be this one. And these are my sizes. I'll also need a couple knives and two swords. Now, Gruten. It is my understanding you made, or helped to make, this collar I wear. Am I correct?"
Shock ran and dried up the excitment in Gruten's eyes. "How-"
"Now, Gruten. I didn't come here to give you any kind of my anger. I am just a paying customer. But I've been doing a little research and I know there's something you can do for me that no other blacksmith around here can." He fully leaned on the table, his eyes narrowed and threatening, his body looking every-ready to spring in attack, to kill his selected prey. But his voice was such the opposite, so cool and calm, that it sent shivers down a person's spine to see it combined with his body. "I know about the alterations made to this stone in this collar. I know how much the collar itself is so meaningless and weak without the stone. And I know there is a way to reverse the alterations to this stone. But, Gruten, I just haven't been able to get that far, yet. What I have been able to do, though, is alter unaltered stones in the opposite way. Of course, that does me no good with this stone, for it's already been altered. But I'm going to tell you what you're going to do. You're going to take two unaltered stones of this type, alter them in the opposite way, and put one in the hilt of one sword and one in the chest of my armor. And the bracelet the Queen wears? Her altered stone? You're going to do the same with. You are going to take an unaltered version of her stone, alter it oppositely and place one in the hilt of her sword and one in her breastplate." Gruten seemed about to argue, fear instilled in him as Storm's own, though hidden, infuriation at the one who placed the captive on he and Crystal, climbed and his power began to fill the room, the collar beginning to burn past the effects of the heroine, but Storm held up his hand. "Uh uh uh. Let me let you in on a little secret, Gruten. This kingdom? It's going to fall when I'm done with it. And I've already told you how far I've gotten to breaking this little toy." He hissed, indicating his collar. His eyes lost their pupil and flooded completely red. "You don't want to be against me when this thing comes off, Gruten." He snapped up straight and his pupil returned, along with his smile. "If you're really scared of getting caught, Gruten. Don't be. No one here understands what you do. This is why they cannot duplicate you. So no one is going to ask questions. They will congratulate you for thinking of such a plan. Putting these ailing stones in our own weaponry. And if you need a little more motivation-" He reached over the table and grabbed Gruten's collar, jerking him forward and holding him down on the table. He whispered something in Gruten's ear and Gruten's eyes showed his disbelief. Storm released him and turned back to Shadow. "I'll need these things by tomorrow, Gruten. Farewell." He led the way outside. "Now, the soldiers."

The door opened slowly and a fearful Pearl appeared there, holding her baby in her arms. "Crystal! Thank goodness! Have you seen those lights in the distance at night? Are we going to war? I am not fit to fight, madame Crystal, and my baby- oh please, do not send me to war!"

"That's a brilliant idea," Shadow said.
Storm had gotten further in solving the riddle than Shadow had, but this was merely a temporary fix. "Do we have any idea of how to reverse the spell on the stones as it is?" he asked as they walked on.
"Like just hint or a lead? I'm no expert in magic, but are do you think the solution might not be related to the magic at all? maybe it has to do with the individual or something. I remember being put in a situation while trying to master the Arcane power where I was restricted within my mind until I could learn control," Shadow explained recalling how the Arcane scriptures had guided him.
They reached the barracks and could hear the ruckus created by the soldier who were inside as well as those out in the "arena" going through drills and other war skills. He stopped Storm here. "So there is no doubt we will have more trouble going in there. If we do, try not to abuse your power. The more you do, the worse it becomes and the worse your habits might become to cope with it. I'll be your muscle if need be until we can solve that puzzle," Shadow said firmly.
whether Storm liked it or not, Shadow wasn't leaving him a choice here at all. They'd both fought their fair share of wars and knew how things worked.

Crystal pushed gently past the door, closing it behind her. "Pearl, calm down. We are going to war. I don't know how things have been handled in the past, but I'm in charge now. We won't send children, or not able women into the fray. It's just not humane."
Crystal held back a chuckle to herself. That was part of her Arcane speaking and she liked that. "Just rest easy. There will be flags set up for everyone should anything go wrong. Storm is seeing to that with allies. You just worry about keeping yourself going here," Crystal soothed, giving a warm smile.

Storm glanced at him. "I have been able to find that the stones are not altered in the same way, showing that it must have something to do with each individual. However, I have no idea how to tell what it takes from each person to get the stone to release them. It was while I was studying that that I found what happens when you alter the stones backwards. Which I would love to explain to you when we aren't in public. But whatever Crystal and I have to do to deactivate the alterations, I have no idea. Yet. I'm sorry I haven't told you two. But you've both been preoccupied with other things and I didn't want you two to know how much this thing" He indicated the collar in disgust "bothers me." As they came to the barracks, Storm nodded to Shadow. "I have been in command of an army before, Shadow. Twice. I know a few things about my 'power' in authority." He smiled. "In fact, once things begin going smoothly in here, if you'd like to leave to find some of my supplies, I would not be against that." He led the way inside of the great room, standing tall and straight, his hands folded properly behind his back. "AttenTION." He called and stood silently as all the soldiers came to stand in their proper rows before him. He then began walking up and down the length of them, his eyes turning bloodshot from his smoking. "I regret to inform you all that this war is approaching much more quickly than first thought. To give you a good time limit: it will be within the week. During this time, we can do nothing but train. You know where you lack. If you lack in stamina, take yourselves to the ditches. If you lack in strength, get yourself to the weights. If you lack in humility... bring yourself to me. I know some of you have never seen war. It is nothing to be proud of. But it is something that calls for all you have. Use the humility you have and strengthen where you are weak. If you want to learn new techniques, feel you do not possess skills good enough or unique enough, come to Shadow or I. I can't teach you anything unless you are willing to learn. Move!" The soldiers began splitting up as Storm fell back to Shadow. "I realized something before I began speaking. I was an abusive captain. Help me shape up these men." Some soldiers began coming up to them, asking to be taught more. Then one man, on his own, came up directly to Storm.
"Permission to speak, sir!" He saluted.
Storm returned the salute. "Permission granted."
"Sir, we don't know what we're up against. Our only powers are water control, and we have not been trained on how to use it. I can barely make water move in a bowl. We were forbidden from practicing but... I was curious. Please, forgive me and I will accept punishment. But, if I may be so bold, what if our enemies can use their powers?"
Storm stood, his eyes wide but his body as properly rigid as a soldier's should be. "You... can't..." An idea flashed in his mind and his eyes flew to Shadow, all the other soldiers now standing still, having heard the question and confession. Storm seemed to have been able to gain control again. "We have a week. Men! Follow me!" He moved for Shadow to take his side beside him. Excitement at being able to make progress coursed through him and he grabbed Shadow's arm, hardly able to contain it. "We are going to win this war, Shadow!" He began running, the soldiers making lines behind him and following his lead. He felt his lungs begin to falter before too long and he wished he had noticed his problems before now.
They made it to the village and Storm wound around houses, the crowds of people moving aside in shock, many curious ones following behind the soldiers.

A beating came on Pearl's door and Storm's voice rang through it. "The army requires you. Please step out of the building." He immediately opened the door and saw the shock and fear flush out Pearl's face. He smiled and brushed past Crystal to her, taking the baby from Pearl's arms gently and kissing the woman on her forehead. "I made the proper warning before I came in. You can't sue me." He gave a soft laugh. "You know how you promised you would help should we need you? I need you. And every other woman in this village. Completely safe and unharmed. But you all can offer us something no one else can. And we need that for training."
Pearl's mind began trying to think of the only things the women could offer the men soldiers and only one thing came to her mind, and Storm caught her wrist before she could smack him, though it took him a second to register what she had thought of. "Um. No. Try again." He gently pulled her and glanced at Crystal before he walked out. "Don't be mad at me for stressing your friend out, please." He flashed her a smile, his eyes fully bloodshot, now, handing her the baby and taking Pearl outside. "Men! Go to every house here and kindly bring the women of the house with you back to the barracks. If I hear of any bad conduct on your part, I will cut your throats out." He smiled as he said this and tilted his head, silently asking Crystal to follow him. He began heading back to the barracks as the soldiers began asking for women. Storm absentmindedly rolled his fingers over Pearl's arm, which he held in his as a gentleman, excitement coursing through him.
Pearl finally couldn't take her stress. "What is going on!"
Her voice shocked Storm and reminded him he hadn't told her anything. "Hah! Sorry. You'll find out in just a moment. You use your power over water for everyday things, do you not? It's second nature to you?"
"Well, of course. It is my element. Why wouldn't it be?"
"It isn't for the soldiers."
They made it to the barracks, every soldier having a civilian woman standing beside of him. Storm kept Pearl beside him as he stood before everyone. "Men, you have told me you have been forbidden to practice your true nature of control of water. These women have not and know how to use their control so well, they do not have to think about it. I am a fire demon, so I cannot help you with learning to control water, but I can help you with finding out how a fire demon works and how to defeat one. Because our enemy control fire. They use theirs to illuminate the night every night. These are two things you must learn before the war begins. And, if any of you find you possess any other technique not concerning water, you come to me, because that will of great use. For example-" He let go of Pearl and she began to rise, safely secure in Storm's force. "I am not using fire for this. But I am using heat. Useful. Begin!" Pearl fell from the sky and Storm caught her bridal style, setting her on her feet. "Pearl, I trust your judgement more than any other citizen here. We will keep watch over your little girl. I ask that you keep watch over my soldiers' progress."
Pearl seemed hesitant then smiled, saluting him. "Yes, sir!"
Storm gave her his infamous smirk and returned her salute. "Dismissed, soldier."
Pearl's eyes shined and she rushed away, beginning her task.
Storm turned back to Shadow and Crystal with the baby. His smile fell and his excitement showed it had long disappeared, replaced by fear. He walked over to them. "I know what I said. I regret saying it. 'Let me give my very secrets of weaknesses away to you for all to know!' I think I might hate myself. I am not listening to your rule of making things easy for myself, Shadow. But... logically speaking, it does give us a huge advantage. No matter what size or breed or type, anyone with the fire element will experience it and use it in the same processes as I use." He let out a shaky breath. "Could you two maybe study me real quick? I'm not stupid, I know you've studied me over the years as much as I have you so you all aren't completely oblivious to how I work. They need to know how I work and the perfect ways to capture me. Could you two teach them that? I'll try my best to cooperate." He gave a joking smile, but he wondered how true that statement was. He had gotten himself into a lot. But it was necessary.

Crystal was smoldering with anger. Just after she'd told Pearl everything was all right, Storm came in and stirred things up, and on top of that, something was off with Storm and she didn't like how he was keeping it secret. She held the baby, showing no sign of her anger and played with her; a natural mother. She ignored Storm and continued and Shadow glanced at her, trying to gauge it. He'd spent his whole life around her and knew when she was mad.
After watching her for a moment, he turned back to Storm and addressed him. "Don't worry. Crystal here can handle anyone who tried to kill you with her own element, and I'm the only one around anywhere who has my element," he said making gestures with his hands.
Shadow Elementals had become extinct from his world about six or seven hundred years prior in the purging by the Holy, a corrupt cult. He watched the women working diligently with the men, who were rather clumsy in comparison. "Anyway, what exactly do you mean by study? I can't say I've not watched you from the beginning, but it just depends on exactly what you are looking for. To out wit YOU, would be attack what you care about, but as for fire elementals, most are quick tempered and have a tendency to be rather foolhardy," Shadow explained remembering back to Rufus and Seth, both quick tempered and very powerful, but Rufus was lazy and a jokester where as Seth was always more serious and demanding.

Storm rose an eyebrow to Shadow. "Foolish and bad tempered? I don't like your studies. Regardless, I mean to study however I work concerning my element. I will allow a quick temper, which can be used to their advantage, but I like to think things through most times. Foolish isn't fair. But here is an example of what I mean, Shadow." He held up his hand and a flame lighted on the tip of his index finger. "I have to light this finger before I can light the others. This shows that the flow of fire through my arm has a certain process it has to follow. So, if it can be quenched before I can light the flame, then I can do no harm with that entire arm using fire. Water is my natural enemy. So surely there is something that can be done to me by water that would render me defenseless and possibly even unable to attack. Shadow, I'd like you to go find what water is truly capable of, here. What they can do. Now, please." Once Shadow had left a good distance, Storm turned to Crystal. He was new with her, but he did know that she was always the first to comfort him when he was scared and yet she had given no response when he admitted to being so. "Crystal. Please talk to me. What have I done, now."

Crystal sighed grumpily and used her free hand to swirl water around her finger from nothing and streamed it at Storm, making sure her aim wouldn't hit him, but just so she could release her frustration. "I'm sure I don't know what you've done now, but that's because you won't tell me isn't it?" she stated without looking at him still.
She truly had no idea what it was, but he'd been sneaking around more and coming back in irregular conditions. Pale skin, bloodshot eyes, wounds. She didn't like the secrets.

Shadow roamed the grounds filled with soldiers, observing what they could do and watching out for anything out of the ordinary. So far, the men were making dangerously slow progress; a sad thing as Shadow knew even youngsters in Elemental could do better than that.

He flinched but didn't move out of the way of her pseudoattack. He dropped his gaze as she spoke, knowing what she meant and he knew she'd get curious eventually. He gave a gentle sigh and met her gaze once more. "I am going to be honest and tell you that it is a secret. It's bad. And I do not like hiding from you. I promise you, I don't. But I am... I am scared of how you would take knowing it. Can you be at peace knowing that I am working on fixing it?"

Crystal didn't like harassing Storm and putting distance between them, but she was hurt that he couldn't trust her. "Only if you can be at peace without me around," she said, and without giving him a moment to comment, she abruptly turned and walked away, keeping the baby safe with her as she skirted the practicing soldiers. She spotted one man in the mob, frustrated as the woman tried to coax him into trying again. "I can't control water! I never have been able to. Just leave me and help someone else."
She tried at him again and suddenly roots sprung from the ground around him as he tried to escape her harping. She smiled slightly. "You!"
The soldier, stunned, saluted sluggishly. "You've got a special talent. You should explore it more, see what it can do. You might not be a water descendant," Crystal called to him.
The man grinned from ear to ear, suddenly happy that he could do something more than he thought. "Yes your highness!"
Crystal then realized that she'd been idle all this time. She was a proud warrior and it was time she did something as well.

Storm stood there, shocked, feeling his stress and anxiety levels shoot through the roof. A soldier came running up to him, wanting to express what he had learned from the women. Storm's hand rose up and the man was sent flying backwards, crashing into a crowd of other soldiers near Shadow, too far a distance for Crystal to see. Storm didn't even move to see what he'd done and his body began to shake. "I-I need..." He dug through his pockets and cursed, as he had promised, he had nothing in his possession. He finally saw the small group with their eyes on him, weary of him, and looked around at the countless training soldiers. He heard his heart racing and he felt it skip the first beat like before.... Smoke rose as he disappeared with his speed, skidding to a halt in the outskirts of the currently abandoned city, falling into one of the many dark alleyways. He pressed his back against the cold stone wall and slid to the ground, forcing himself to take leveled breaths as best he could, trying to steady his heart, trying to calm his panicked mind.

Crystal suddenly lost track of Storm's presence, a sort of loss tugging at her heart and mind and, despite trying to put the thought away she couldn't help but think about him.
Day passed into night and everyone had long retreated into the night life, going about their normal habits. Crystal paced her room, bothered by Storm's extended absence. "You know you're the one that caused this," he said flicking his dagger in the air and catching it over and over again.
"But he's been...." she sighed and let it go, "I know. It's my fault for over reacting to it, but he still doesn't fully trust me. It's bothering to know that."
"And yet here you are pacing the room worried sick about where he's been. Better make up and spend time with him next time he comes around. Which should be soon as late as it is," Shadow said, hoping he was right.
He'd already procured the things Storm needed, and kept them with him, though he'd not looked for Storm. When the man needed it bad enough, he would return, and Shadow was trust that on his word.
"But he's been staying out so late recently too. Maybe he won't come back tonight at all. Or maybe he's off destroying himself fighting or..."
Crystal hit her head against the stone wall gently in frustration. "Love's a bummer," Shadow stated with a slight chuckle.
He tossed the dagger again then sheathed it, standing from his seat. "I'm going to step out for a moment. Try not to go crazy while I'm out."
Crystal shot him an irritated glance as he left, but then went about her worries. Just outside the room, Shadow stretched his whole body and he yawned. "Man she can wear you out," he said casually walking through the fire lit corridors.

The palace doors closed the same time Shadow closed the door behind him and in walked a raggid thing. His clothes, body, and face were covered in dirt. He scratched through his hair and dirt fell onto the floor. There were shadows under his eyes and his body trembled slightly. He featured a weaker cough and walked and began to ascend the stairs. He finally rose his eyes and saw Shadow, pausing. "May I please have something." He asked, his voice without emotion or much strength. Closer up, it could be seen a few bruises, but that was about it.

Shadow shook his head in disbelief at what he saw, but stopped his head, thinking Storm might misread it. He ventured the rest of the stairs saying, "You know Crystal is going to have a cow when she sees you right?"
He dug through his waist pouch and produced a few pills and the heroine. "It's best if you don't smell like you've been smoking when you see her," Shadow said handing them off carefully.
He took a seat in the dim lit stair well and waited for Storm to join him. It was a rare moment they could share together.
