"Of course, Crystal. Shadow, tell me when you don't need me anymore." As he spoke, the force he was using for Shadow shifted slightly, enough to notice but not enough to ruin Shadow's balance. He then smiled kindly to Zakuro and Lazura and led them away, his posture getting stricter as the distance between himself and Shadow lengthened and his power was stretched. He led them to the dining hall, offering them each a seat. There were not many people there, as it was an odd hour for eating, and Storm motioned over someone to inquire what they wanted to eat. It was his usual waitress and she smiled brightly at him. "What can I get for you all this evening?"
Storm returned her smile forcefully, preoccupied. "My usual, if you will. And you two? They can make almost anything." He said, speaking to Zakuro and Lazura. "I don't know your tastes, Lazura, but they even make Narasu's meals with raw meat that he adores."
The waitress gave a disapproving look to Storm's order. She usually lectured him on how he should eat more than his usual bowl of broth and a roll, but she would not do so in the company of others. She had taken a liking to him, why though she could not explain, just as so many others do. As Shadow had done. As Zakuro had done. But she would not get herself into trouble with the advisor. So, she waited patiently for Zakuro and Lazura's order.

Crystal had gotten familiar with the castle by now, and Charlie accompanied the two to an infirmary room. Shadow stretched his voice to Storm, having not done so in quite some time. "You can relax now, I'm at the infirmary it seems," he said after Crystal had force him into a seat. She sent both Charlie and the elven nurse out immediately. "I can handle this myself for now Charlie. You can wait outside if you feel the obligation to," she said with a smile.
After he was gone, she Forced Shadow to remove his armored vest and undershirt to reveal the wound in his chest clawed deep, though not bleeding like it had at first. His element was powerful, but Crystal's was better at healing. "Your always getting into some kind of trouble it seems, just like Storm. I'm not going to be there for you every time ya know," she fussed as she looked at his calf as well, the deep gouges stained with black and red.
Shadow chuckled lightly. "Well, you know I'll be fine on my own still. Look who's mature now. I remember when this all started. Just the three of us in Stixis, then the next thing we knew, it was the seven of us traveling all across Elemental to collect the Arcane scriptures. You, Rufus, and Amber were the ones always in trouble, me and Jaden keeping you in check. It was an adventure I never thought would end really, yet here we are, Jaden and Amber married, Shourn married too. Only Clairy and Rufus travel together still living the dream and protecting Elemental full-time. Even you're getting married to Storm now," Shadow said with a smile from days gone by.
"You miss those days too huh? Well, I guess all things pass and everyone goes their own way eventually. Though it's all still happy times," she added while working water to the wounds, pressing against the restraint of the bracelet.
"Yeah, your right. Congratulations on the engagement though. I'm sure Storm will make you happy, and if not, I guess I'll have one hell of a fight then," Shadow said relaxing visibly, not worried much over it now.
"Man, what have I been doing with my life. I've been searching for that Zakuro with Espira for so long, and now I've got a war to fight. Well, at least things always seem to come up."
Shadow suddenly stood with realization about Zakuro. "That's Zakuro! He's the man we've been searching for all this time, and you have him right here!" Shadow said, then remembered his wound and nearly toppled over, returning to his chair.
"Don't do that! Yes, that's him, now let me finish healing you been for you jump up and cause trouble again."

Lazura nodded, taking the seat offered to her, and said clearly, "I'll have that then please. It's been a bit since I've eaten."
Though she said this, the only thing Lazura really needed to consume was the energy harvested by Zakuro. Food was merely a pleasantry, though she did enjoy it quite a bit. Zakuro followed suit, putting a moments thought into it, then said in his monotone, "I'll have a lobster dish with butter, and whatever sides come with it."
He didn't normally eat so luxuriously, so when he had the chances, he took what he could, but tried to be reserved in his manner and courteous still. He thanked the waitress and then Storm as well. "I appreciated your hospitality. You'll be well cared for should you ever visit my own kingdom," he stated.
Lazura looked around and sighed slightly, wishing to remove her hood at least to eat, but to cause a commotion would be troublesome.

Storm smiled kindly to Zakuro, nodding in acknowledgment. "Don't worry about it. You are guests, guests that have helped me greatly, nonetheless. Though it seems the opposite, I do like to repay my debts. Now, you have mentioned your own kingdom a couple times before, but I've never begged for details. Now that we have a chance to just chat, I'm curious about it." His eyes moved to Lazura as he spoke, watching her eyes search about her and the disappointment within them. "Is something the matter, dear?" Though she never showed she'd return it, he was still quite determined to show her kindness.

Storm's adding of the word dear was irritating to Lazura, not feeling such a fondness for Storm, but she let him have his own freedom of speech, especially in his own home. "I'm merely bothered by wearing this hood. I'm not fond of the human figure in general though," she stated plainly.
Zakuro let them have their words, then said, "Well, I have been gone for quite a long time, so I've left it in charge of my mate and wife. I know she must have taken good care of things in my overly extended absence, but I do intend on returning soon. I wanted to finish business here, then return before we get deep into war plans. It was a smaller kingdom than this, but my reign was strong and kind. We welcomed people of all kinds who sought the refuge of peace within our great walls. What was lacking in size, we made up for in luxury of course. Everyone had their fair share in everything from wealth and knowledge, to business and fighting, when needed," Zakuro explained.
He ruled the kingdom by the same ideas he had adopted for his life after such a dark past.

Storm looked at her questioningly. "Then why do you continue to wear the hood? Being in human form I understand, you wouldn't exactly fit in this room if you weren't. But the hood. Just remove it." He listened interestingly to Zakuro, his hands folded and hiding his mouth. "That does seem like quite a kingdom. Definitely much different from my own. Then again, I've refused the throne, so having not seen it in generations, I wouldn't know what it's like anymore."

"I can certainly understand that. I never thought I would rule a kingdom either after seeing what happens, but after finding certain things and meet certain people, I realized that I could rule how I see fit and start making things better for everyone," Zakuro explained talking more than normal, Cisca being his thoughts.
Lazura cast her gaze to Zakuro as she said, "I'm not sure how accepted my skin tone and features might be here."

Storm sighed deeply. "I honestly don't think I'd make a good king, in any way. I figure it's better for them to figure things out for themselves than trusting whatever I say. Heh, if I make a mistake then people die. Fixing problems quickly and efficiently. Knowing everyone. Knowing everything. That's a lot of pressure and I clearly don't meet the expectations." He glanced back at Lazura, his smirk coming into place, but this time more gentle and reassuring. His crimson in his eyes shimmered and wavered, then gave way to a very light blue color. "Remove your hood, now. No one will see you but I and Zakuro."

Zakuro knew what he meant, but that was dipping into a dangerous territory for both of them and rather than ruin their meal to come, Zakuro let Lazura's issue take the conversation away. She pulled back the black hood, revealing the dazzling array of black, purple, dark violet, and turquoise that made her skin. Zakuro nodded approval, the sight of her always a pleasure to his eyes. "One couldn't ask for a better companion," Zakuro stated uncharacteristically.

Storm smiled, his now light blue eyes on Lazura. "I lied. I can only see black and white, now. So you should feel as at ease as if you were wearing it." No one else in the room even turned an eye to them, showing Storm was right and they could not see her change. The waitress came back with the drinks and food and set each platter before its rightful owner. She smiled kindly. "Just let me know if you all need anything else." She glanced at Storm curiously. "Your crimson eyes seem much brighter, sir. Do you feel alright?"
"I'm fine. Thank you, Crisa."
With resistance, she nodded and turned from them, not noticing the change in Lazura, either, nor Storm's eyes.
Storm didn't bother to touch his plate, simply waited patiently for Lazura and Zakuro to enjoy. "Tell me, Zakuro. What is it that has you risking your life for a stranger and a stranger kingdom? I'm sure I have asked this before, but I still cannot understand."

Lazura nodded he head to Storm saying, "Thank you for the help," then she went to her meal, trying to imitate the human mannerisms instead of tearing the meat apart and swallowing it whole.
Zakuro wasted no time cracking the shell of the red shellfish and dipping the meat in butter, eating with contentment. "I'm not really risking my life for anything at all, but that aside, you have helped to end a decade long search, so I thought I'd repay that."
He stopped to take another piece and a swallow of the drink provided, then continued, his already quite voice getting lower. "Of course, now I can see you are much like I am. I relate to that I guess. You'd be the closest thing to a friend I've had in a long time."
He let the silence fall where it would and continued his meal, grateful of the luscious taste.

Crystal had soon healed Shadow, fresh pink skin where the once damaged had been. The water she'd used was tainted red and black, but the job was done. "Well, it seems that bracelet really is a hindrance. That would take only seconds with Arcane strength."
Crystal seemed to falter at the statement, but let it pass for the moment. "They did this to both me and Storm. In this state, there is no way we could escape even if we had wanted to. Without our full strength, this war might be a defeat," she said disposing of the tainted water.
"Anyway, I'll get your clothes washed, so wear this until then," she said tossing him a plain black tunic.
He slipped it on, feeling the weight of the tunic heavier than the special clothes he'd had before. She set the clothes in the hamper, and they both left for the cafeteria, Shadow limping slightly from the still sore wounds.

Storm froze at Zakuro's words to him and his eyes faded quickly crimson, then snapped back to the light blue, looking around quickly to assure no one saw. "I-I'm sorry, I..." His eyes founded Shadow and Crystal coming in and he rose quickly, pulling a chair out for Crystal, his movements shattery.

Though Zakuro didn't have the need, he used the eye of true seeing to read more into Storm. Zakuro couldn't tell what stirred Storm, but he could clearly see the strange behavior, and the wavering of the magic he has cast on Lazura.
Lazura waved away the thought as she ate still. "I don't mind much now. Whatever happens happens," she said.

Crystal took the seat happily, setting her hand on his forearm in thanks. "Shadow's been healed, but still sore, so no going crazy tonight," she said, eyeing Shadow as well while she spoke.

Storm smiled to Crystal, his blue eyes still shining. "Sure thing. Nothing crazy. Could you, ya know, go into more detail on your defintion of crazy, though?" He forced a smile, distracting his mind from Zakuro's words and letting Lazura be as she ate, he himself not even bothering to touch his food nor drink.

"You should know what I mean by now, but no intense fighting, warring, or dueling, among yourselves or with others," Crystal stated.
She knew they could get into plenty of trouble when together, whether looking for it or not. She signaled for the waitress to come and take her and Shadow's order. "Now sit easy and eat. We both know you don't eat enough as it is. It'll be worse during war," she said quietly to Storm alone.
Shadow took a seat and sighed saying slightly under his breath, "Yeah yeah. No monkey business. Amazing how mature you've become now."
Lazura finished her meal before anyone else was even close, and she sat quietly listening to everyone else. Zakuro enjoyed his shell fish while still watching carefully of his new company.

Storm smiled and leaned to kiss her cheek. "I am plenty full." Of course, his body told otherwise, but his eyes also showed he held a secret. Those beautifully blue eyes, regardless that it looked as though they could hide nothing. "With you in my life, I need nothing else." He lifted and kissed her hand then glanced at Shadow, then back to her. "Not to argue, but um... he's the one healing. So, am I still allowed to go out?"

Crystal knew he didn't eat near enough, so instead of letting it go, she gave him a choice. "Your free to do anything you please for tonight, but only if you sit down and have a proper meal right now," she said straight.
Shadow snickered to himself, seeing how things had changed in his absence, but then the thought of Zakuro came back to him again. He leaned around Crystal and Storm and said to Zakuro, "I need to speak to you about something if you have time later."
Zakuro didn't sense any hostilities in Shadow, his eye moving from Storm to Shadow for only a moment. "I have no quarrel with that," he said quietly, going back to his almost finished meal. He went to take another bite and whispered only to Storm, "Your hiding something important."

Storm sighed irritably. "And I suppose bread isn't what you claim to be a proper meal. Order me what you want me to eat." He hissed, his loving tone gone and the waitress finally able to weave her way to their table. She smiled to Crystal and gavr a bow to her queen. "What may I get for you, you Highness?" Storm sat silently brooding, his eyes rising to Zakuro as he spoke to him. He whispered just as softly back. "It in no way affects you nor your kingdom, so there is no reason for you to take interest in it."

Zakuro took this to be quite logical and let his sight return to normal, not speaking another word on it while finishing the last bite of lobster. Lazura stared across the room to other things, tapestries hanging, stone work in the walls, and other small things that drew her attention.
Crystal frowned at his disagreeable change of mood. "I'll just take a soup and some bread," she told the waitress, maintaining her authority.
Shadow waved the though of food away, hungry far from his mind at this point. Instead, he pulled one of his daggers forth and fiddled with in in one hand, letting the leather grip remain in control. "What else is there to do around here by the way," he asked seeing (Name of previous adviser) walking in.

Storm scoffed with his infamous cold smirk, knowing that food would be for her. "Good. Glad that's all cleared up." He focused on Lazura and her hood covered her once more as his eyes fell to crimson sharply, and a flinch came from him, though subtle. He pushed his chair from the table and rose. "I'm Crystal or Shadow wouldn't mind caring for you for the night." He began walking away from the table and, passing Shadow, answered, ""I'd show you, but you're healing." His tone was sinister and he disappeared from the room, the drapes over one door swinging with the breeze from his speed, showing which exit he'd taken.

Crystal scoffed, taking notice of his dramatic leave and said to herself, "He can do whatever. Not like he ever listens to me anyways."
Shadow shook his head at the sudden turn in the atmosphere and said, "Well, this is quite normal, so please excuse the interruption. On another note, I've actually been searching for you Zakuro.
The demon raised his eyes to meet Shadow's, interest stirring. "Really. For what reason?"
Shadow chuckled remembering everything and replied, "It was actually with your daughter, Espira. A while back all of us had a run in at your kingdom, and when it was finished, I went searching for you with her, while Storm and Crystal remained here."
Shadow slipped his dagger back into it's holding and brushed his hair back. "It was quite the adventure, but now that I've found you, looks like I've nothing left to do. You should return home though. Things have become chaotic in your absence. It's not pleasant. I think your son currently hold the throne," Shadow explained further, a grim tone putting the severity of the situation into perspective.
Zakuro nodded wisely and said, "It comes as no surprise. I will return, fear not. Here, however, I've still got minor business."
Shadow thought what he could mean, but pushed that aside knowing it had to do with Storm most likely. The thought of Storm reminded him the pendants he had received. "I've actually got something to do in my room," Shadow said excusing himself from the table and going down the same trail Storm took, leaving only Crystal, Zakuro, and Lazura.
